**Updated Review** I'm pleased that the work on my vehicle was indeed completed by the deadline - December 23. However, I noticed a nasty visible deep scratch on the cargo hatch door and the wiper windshield hoses were connected improperly (i.e. pushing handle towards me would trigger rear wiper vs. front window). I immediately contacted Paul and Joe to resolve these two issues. I am happy to say that the deep scratch was repaired at no extra cost and the wiper hoses were connected correctly. That said, it took me two additional follow up visits. I do understand collision centers are swamped due to the increase of accidents and pending repairs but it's important for any auto shop to do its due diligence prior to returning a vehicle to its owner. I did ask for a walkthrough at time of pickup but Paul was out on holiday. That said, I do agree that you should carefully inspect and photograph your vehicle prior to drop off and ask your service tech do a walkthrough at time of pickup to avoid the follow up hassle. PS.. the work done comes with a limited warranty - I believe one year from work date. read more

Let me start by saying, that Maxwell Ford is an outstanding dealership. They care about the people not just making a sale or selling something. And if I'm not mistaken, I believe this location is also commission free. Long story short, both remotes in my Mustang have been dying and not working. Which means I can't start my car. I went to Leif Johnson Ford, they replaced it with the same battery by mistake. So a week later that remote was dead. Then I went to the Ford dealership right near Chuck Nash Chevrolet. I also called of a locations and not a single one could give me the batteries I needed for my Ford Mustang remote start. I was beside myself with being overwhelmed because I am disabled. And every time I get in the car and go somewhere It's pretty painful because of my eight spinal surgeries. Plus, I need a walker at all times. So it's an ordeal for me just to go out of the house. I called Maxwell Ford and I believe the young ladies name was Cindy. She was so kind and told me to come on down that they have these batteries. I went all the way down there. I live in Kyle. And when I walked into the showroom, it turned out the service center was not connected to it, but I would have to go back in the car and drive over to the other building. I told the gentleman who ran to open the door for me That I could not possibly walk any further and is it possible that she could come speak with me over here. He said sure. Within 15 minutes she came down. She greeted me so kindly and she took both of my remotes and went back over to the service side. I kid you not, within 20 minutes both remotes have a set of new batteries in them. This is astounding to me because the other dealers I went to did not know how to open or close my remotes. I thought really all of these four dealers and nobody knows how to open a car remote and put it back together, so I was just like I said, overwhelmed. But when she came back so fast and it was done, I was amazed and so excited over it And as I thanked her, I asked her for the bill. She told me it was no charge. Can you imagine that no charge for four batteries each remote takes two batteries. She did it complementary because of all the other places I went to that could not help me. I've been to Maxwell Ford many times just looking at the new models every year when they come in, I will recommend this location of Ford dealership to everyone! Their service is unbelievable. Their patient, super kind. And they definitely helped me out so very much when I needed it most And the whole time I was there sitting nobody tried to hound me over buying a new car or was I looking for a new car and I found that very relaxing. And lo and behold while I was there I was in front of the brand new 2025 Mustang GT. This car has a new type of paint that just came out. It's a matte finish. It was all black and the only finishes that were shiny were the mirrors on the outside of the car and the spoiler. The rest of it was a flat finish almost like it was primer, but it looked much nicer. I open the door just to look in it and I was just so excited. I wish I had the money to get a new one. But I'm completely happy with the one I have. It's nine years old, it's a 3.7 L which is more than I need. It's very responsive and takes off flying the very moment. I touch the gas. Sorry for this very long post. But I really want this location at Maxwell Ford dealership to be recognized for all the wonderful that they are. 0/10 would not recommend! Came to pick up my car, car windows were left down on a rainy day/overnight. Nothing electrical worked, battery was dead, and dirty foot prints were left on my back seats. Oh. But it gets worse my car was apparently used as a cat shelter. I found old wet cat food cans in the passenger side floor. I don't own a cat, and I'm allergic! I expect them to do the right thing, full diagnostic on my car, new battery, interior detail and an actual sincere apology not we don't know how this happened and don't be upset. I'm honestly still in shock over this whole ordeal. read more

Start to finish, this was the best experience I could have hoped for after being involved in an accident. My 2020 King Ranch F150 was damaged on the MOPAC and the other driver was found liable. F150 was still drivable. State Farm Insurance (other drivers insurance) called me the next business day to start the claim. I contacted Maxwell Collision the following day and spoke w/Taylor. He had me drop the truck off that day and had the rental folks on standby. Taylor gave me an estimated 1month for completion, but was expedited and finished 13 days sooner than planned. Happy to be back in my truck. It looks great and was freshly detailed. Taylor did an excellent job keeping me informed through professional, accessible communication. Would recommend to others. I was having a decent experience until I actually got my car's repairs were finished. I never received a call the the repairs were finished and I had to call to check on my. Was told that a voicemail had been left that the repairs were complete, but I received no voicemail and had zero missed calls. Once I arrived to retrieve my vehicle I was told someone would meet me at my car to go over anything I may have questions about, but no one ever and after waiting for 15 minutes I left. This is where my troubles really started. I noticed that my rear taillight was out (it was not out when I brought in my car) and my parking lights were not coming on when I was remote starting. I was told me more than once that the did not touch the rear of the vehicle as the damage had been to the front and was made to feel like I was an idiot for asking about both issues. I brought the car back in to check the parking lights and no one seemed to understand what was going on and was even told by someone that the parking lights did not come on for my model even though I've had my car for 6 years and remote start daily. Gaslighting is not acceptable. I was lied to again (this time by Able) and told that my taillight had a "bad LED" and that was why it wasn't working. (I later bought a replacement from Nissan and it still did not work.) I asked about the vehicle's fuses since I knew for a fact that the front and rear lights were on the same fuse and as told they weren't and suggested I take my vehicle to Nissan to have them figure it out. I did and was told that not only were all of these issues were connected, but that my side lights were also not working and that a fuse had been blown and not replaced. I had been told that if Nissan found an issue that been a result of Maxwell not competing the repair to then return and when I did was told that Maxwell were not taking walk-ins at the time. I feel like my concerns about the repairs not being fully complete were passed off as my problem that was no longer their concern and was not at fault. I even sent emails about how my 2015 Nissan Altima did in fact have the parking lights turn on during remote start before I had Nissan make the repair and never received a response. The repairs that were completed were done well so I can't complain about that, but the fact that once they had my money and the money from the issuance they couldn't have cared less. The fact that I was made to question myself regarding the parking lights and lied to about having a bad LED in my taillight soured my experience. They will not take responsibility and own their mistakes. I had never been in an accident before so all of this was new to me and feel like that ignorance was taken advantage of when said mistakes were made. read more

Took my Cadillac to get repaired after an accident. When picked up car. The light that was to be replaced was not on correctly. I came back after they fixed. Noticed that my license plate holder and plate was not placed back on. Went into shop to ask my plate for the front. It was found but bracket was never found. I went in several times for a replacement but keep getting brushed off. Now the light they replaced does not work. I am very weary to go back to this place. read more

So was recently in an accident and my Insurance Company stated that Maxwell Collision was part of their team. I have a 2019 Ford Explorer. I figured this would be perfect because they will have it ready in no time and it will be done correctly. Paul me service manager called me 12/11/19 about 5:30 pm to tell me that my vehicle is READY. Unfortunately i do not get off until 6, so i made time during my lunch 12/12/19 to drop the rental and go pick up mu SUV. The front office rep was so kind and so was the Collision rep Jose (thank you both for being great!!!) I told Jose that the scratch on the bumper was part of the collision and he told me that it was just dirt as they put on a new bumper. I couldnt really tell if it was dirt or if it was the original scratch, which a day later i realize that it is the original scratch from the accident. So i get my keys and i leave as my explorer looks brand new again, i get down the road and my brake pedal goes all the way down and the vehicle takes forever to slow down. There were no warning signs that there were any issues with my brakes which was a little concerning. I called and told them and immediately brought them back. So i have to say, normally i would not make a big deal about this, however when brought to my Collison Rep Paul, he was very dismissive about my concerns, I told him that i was not happy, and his response was " why are you not happy? its fixed now" At the end of the day, why didnt anyone drive the vehicle to make sure that my brakes were working. If you supposedly had it test driven 2 times then the brake issue would have been caught. Imagine if i had gotten into an accident upon leaving, we would be in a completely different scenario. Im sure they would blame it on me. Im debating on asking my insurance company have another collision center take a look at my car, i found a few things wrong and some items are loose and its terrifying!!! To say the least. Go here if you want to, it was a bad experience for me and i hope yall have a better experience, maybe you will get a better Collision Rep that will care about your concerns. ***UPDATE**** 1/10/2020 I Truly want to thank Joe the service manager for reaching out tome. He and and his office personnel went above and beyond to take care of me. My Explorer looks brand new again. Words can not express how they have made me feel. In a good way!!! Thank you to all the Maxwell Collision Tech and Office staff who went above and beyond to make sure that my vehicle was safe for me to take home to me and my family. I will definitely recommend them, we are all human and make mistakes but it takes a strong community to correct them. Im not saying they made mistakes but im just glad i was acknowledged. I took my vehicle to ford which needed some work done to the front bumper and passenger quarter panel and hood. They refused to do all the work properly because it was "to much work". I asked if it's common for them to get money and still do half the work, they said they do what they need to. They did not want to complete all the work for the hood to repair it properly. Paul Martinez was they guy getting upset when I talked to him about doing the work properly. He said I could take it somewhere else when I started asking questions to begin with. About a year later I went back to get something else fixed on my own and they gave me a great price, were really quick, and did the job right. I've had a couple of glitches with communication that I've chalked up to them being really busy, but I'd definitely trust them with any other collision repairs I might have. read more

I still don't have my car back and it's clear that they've had trouble diagnosing issues with my car's steering throughout this process. I've had to cancel vacations and get a round without a car throughout the holiday season and it's likely to take another week. I have never used Maxwell Ford Collision Center before. I was drawn to them by a series of problems I had trying to get service from shops I had previously patronized. Maxwell Collision was the only shop willing to work with the particular insurance company involved. Daniel Matteson, the collision estimator and my contact throughout the experience, was upfront with me about possible costs that the insurance might not cover. However, he said that he would do his best, and he is a man of his word. A definite asset to the organization. My whole experience was nothing short of awesome. From the greeting I received when I first entered the shop, to the final delivery of my repaired car, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Not only was I greeted with a smile from Susan, but a while after, one of the associates walking through asked me if I was being helped. Definitely a great first impression. Daniel Matteson is an expert at working together with other factions to achieve the desired result for the customer. He was able to show the insurance company the necessity of the repairs and was able to work with them without any problem. He was also very thorough at making sure I had not left anything in my car. He explained everything to me about what to expect. Susan contacted the rental car agency for me. I was grateful to Daniel for taking my calls, every time I had a question, and Susan and Gina, the ladies at the reception desk were also friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough in helping me through the experience. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Insurance and rental went through very quickly and easily and the team was great about communicating.

First and foremost, a Geico driver hit my vehicle and immediately claimed fault. I then decided to go the Geico repair route and took it to this shop instead of taking the money. The damage was to my left fender, door and the alignment whereby the car would shake at relatively low speeds. I notified Geico and the shop that there was both cosmetic and mechanical damage. Upon picking up my vehicle, I drove it for 30 seconds and it began to shake. I immediately returned back and notified them that the car was not repaired and asked if it had even been test driven and was met with an "I think so" and was told that "I've never seen an accident cause this type of damage" despite the fact that the vehicle was struck at be wheel base and pushed over a curb. Only after writing an email stating that I would retain an attorney if not repaired did they choose to do so at no cost, causing my unnecessary expansion of time and effort. I missed a meeting as a result of this fiasco. Likewise, now my battery iPhone case charger ($60.00) that was in my cup holder is now missing. I contact the, apparently, regional manager to notify them of this and asked if perhaps it was misplaced and was met with "I've never received a call like this." When I reminded him of the situation with the vehicle repairs I was met with "well we weren't provided all of the information" and "we're not responsible for items left in the vehicle." The responsible individuals are Lucas and the Manager. This is he most unprofessional, incompetent staff of mechanics and administrators that I've ever witnessed. He stopped replying to my texts and then didn't even inform me of anything. When I called the dealership to get information they would either hang up on me or transfer me to a line that did not answer. This review is for their collision center. My husband and I were in looking at the Ford Edge. Next day I was in a three car accident (not my fault). My salesguy from Maxwell had emailed me as a follow up so I told him what had happened and asked for shop recommendations. Of course, he said the dealership shop. They came and picked it up and went to work. At first, everything was great. They said it would take a couple of weeks and they dealt with my insurance adjuster. Wait for it...problems. The parts were delayed. The paint shop was delayed. They couldn't get the alignment right. There was a "God awful noise" they couldn't figure out. They sent it to another dealership to look at it and then another. I HAD a full tank of gas when they had it but when you drive to North Austin and Georgetown that tends to empty it quick. I came to pick it up and ummm...wow. I had never been so pissed in my life! The headlight was sticking out about a 1/4 inch, the hood wasn't lined up, and the fender was also sticking out.They had the nerve to tell me that it was all due to aftermarket parts and there wasn't anything they could do about it. Their customer service manager admitted that it looked like SH*T...her words, not mine... and that if I wanted a better job to speak to my insurance company. My convertible top still wasn't working right (mind you it wasn't part of the accident). They had done something to it during the front end repairs and had sent it away to be fixed somewhere else. I drove it away furious. I got onto 35 and it pulled horribly to the right. I exited and called the front desk. I informed them that if a manager wasn't there to meet me then they would have a scene straight off Broadway. They got me into a rental car and three weeks later all the aftermarket parts they couldn't manage to work with were replaced with factory parts. The headlight filled with water the next time it rained and they replaced that too. The three week job turned into about ten weeks of misery. No apology from anyone. No follow up service. AND no one bothered to put gas back in my tank. Not only will I NEVER go back for service, I will tell anyone who will listen that Maxwell Ford cares nothing about their customers, provide horrible customer service, produce terrible work, and what work they manage to get out the door they refuse to stand behind. I brought my vehicle to Maxwell Ford Collision for repair after being rear ended. Basic safety checks were not performed before releasing my vehicle as repaired. Just a few hours after leaving the shop I became aware that the vehicle's break lights and rear turn indicator lights were not functioning at all. After speaking to the collision center director, it is clear that both the technician who serviced my vehicle and the estimator assigned to my claim should have performed basic checks to confirm repairs made and vehicle readiness. Both opportunities for checks were completely disregarded resulting in an unsafe situation not only for myself, but those drivers around me. I brought these issues to their attention and they were repaired the following business day. While I did not expect perfection from Maxwell Ford, I did expect a basic level of care and due diligence, neither of which were met. read more

So some dishonest jerk (who happens to own a Balkan/Serbian restaurant in Austin too) backed into my parked car and luckily I was standing on the sidewalk to see him or else he totally would have hit and ran (and still tried to run after I confronted him). After the arduous task of getting his correct insurance information, since he gave me fraudulent insurance and contact information(did you read that part about being dishonest?!!), I took my car here for an estimate of damages. The collision shop gave me a fair estimate and repaired my car in a speedy and efficient manner even with the upcoming holiday weekend. They also cleaned out the inside of my car and polished my rims. Now the real reason I want to review Maxwell Ford is because my favorite Service Advisor EVER now works here. If you've read my review of Leif Johnson, you will know that Paul Ward was my favorite service advisor when he was still working there. With some sleuthing I discovered that he now works here! After my car was repaired at the body shop I figured I would bring it by the service department to address a weird connectivity issue with my SYNC system. Keep in mind it was July 3rd. Not only did Paul remember me but he got my car moved right in and the issue was resolved shortly! That is excellent customer service my friends. If you drive a Ford family vehicle and need service done on your car, I would recommend you bring it here and ask for Paul Ward. He genuinely goes above and beyond for his customers and he's extremely understanding and easy to talk to. I'm not the most car-part savvy customer but he clearly explains everything to me so I understand what I am getting into. You can't put a price on excellent customer service so I genuinely appreciate Paul taking care of my car for me. read more

Overall positive experience with definite pros and cons. I wrecked my 2012 Ford Focus and took it to the Maxwell Ford dealer collision center. They replaced two doors and some panels on the passenger side. PROS 1. Most of the employees were very nice and accommodating. They really went out of their way to ensure that I was comfortable and happy after having been involved in an accident. The one employee to watch out for is the old country boy whose name escapes me. He's rude and crass but everyone else is just lovely. 2. The work was IMPECIBLE. No odd gaps in the body work and no strange after effects like rattling body panels or dodgy electronics. Superb repair. 3. Very communicative, I never wanted for information. CONS 1. They did not manage my expectations very well. Initial time estimate was at 1 week and my insurance caused the process to take 2.5 weeks. The delays were NOT Maxwell's fault but they are experienced and should know better than to build me up like that. 2. Like I said, that one old man is really unpleasant. Spent over $6K in 2018 and the plastic wheel well cover was not put on all the way and rub on my tire right after I picked it up. Called them 3 times and 2 email no reply. Brought it back down and they denied they had anything to do with it although they just did the whole front end work on. Super friendly and attentive staff that keeps you updated through out the process. They made sure a rent a car was ready for me before I even finished paperwork. Around Day 10 I started calling in every day asking for an update; their supervisor Sue is conveniently out of the office every time I call. DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! The worst experience I have ever had with a body shop in the 35 years I have been driving! I recently (2/24/10) was in a accident in my 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid where I was side swiped from the rear to the front door passenger side...a little over $3700. After waiting 2 weeks for Maxwell Collicion to fix my car (a ridiculous amount of time) , the paint color was off, the front door was not hung correctly and there was overspray all over the rubber gaskets and a spot on the inside of the door where I was told by the manager that an employee accidently hit it with a hammer and tried to cover it up with touch up paint, thinking I wouldn't notice . Neither the manager or the assistance came outside to inspect the car with me and so I had to point all these things out. So the car went back into shop for about another week. This time when I went back in, I noticed a roughness in paint all along the inside of the door frame...like they had not buffed it out or something. They also forgot to attach the Hybrid emblem on the side door after this second paint job. Again the Manager did not bother to even speak with me and all the assistant could do was say I'm sorry about a 1000 times. To make matters even worse. my 9 month old vehicle's sound system went totally out when it was in the body shop. No sound whatsoever from any component was coming through the speakers. I'm sure the body shop was to blame for this, but I have no way of proving it. The system was working correctly when I brought it in and of course is was still under warranty. So to summarize, this shop does sloppy work, has no quality control whatsoever and they makes empty promises.
