Was initially disappointed with the service as we had waited over an hour for our pizzas to come out and our waitress didn't seem very hospitable. The experience was recovered when the MOD came out to apologize for the delay and offered to comp our pizzas and a few appetizers to hold us over. Hubby and I grew up in New Jersey and this is the closest we've come to having that style of pizza out here. Very well done. Tried the cheese and it was amazing. Maxwell's always seems to be hit or miss for me. I've had times where the pizza is fantastic (their Philly Cheese is delicious too), but I've had other times when I wasn't very impressed. I had one of those "meh' times today when I just got a plate of fries to eat with my beer. They were floppy and flavorless, and even a bunch of salt and ketchup couldn't help. They do offer some good beers and the service is always great though, which definitely helps. Maxwell's is a pretty good place to check out In Park City, but your best bet is to stick with their pizza. read more

Great bar/restaurant, eat here every time we come to Park City! Excellent pizza, thin crust that doesn't overpower the flavor of he sauce and toppings. Great topping options. Something unique about this place, you can order pizza by the slice! Amazing. Great house salad if you want something with nutritional value however recommend you splurge and just go straight for the pizza. Always have excellent service. Only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is they do not serve Wasatch brews, otherwise would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! Always have good service. The pizza is yummy and cheap, I was full off a single cheese only slice, huge! $3!! I made the mistake of ordering the caprese... Tiny tiny with crappy tomatoes, that said, the mozzarella was delicious. Anyhow, I sent it back and replaced it with the cheap pizza, which was a fabulous idea. Lots of things to love about Maxwell's! Great atmosphere! Large, dark wood bar, with lots of TVs and friendly bartenders. And, great booths. It's the kind of place you are comfortable having shots at the bar with friends, or sitting at booth having pizza with the kids. I don't have kids, but that's the impression I get from all the families having dinner. I really like the pizza. Some people don't like that it's so thin, but I love it thin. Plus, I love that you can just get a slice. Many times, I order a salad and a slice. The house salad is a good size, lots of toppings and the balsamic dressing is great. The Philly cheesesteak is good. The bf gets that a lot; I sometimes get the chicken Philly. As far from we are from Philly, it's as good as you can get in Utah. The Risotto is a daily special and I've had a few different versions and it's always great. Lastly, my other fave it the Eggplant Parmigiana (sp?). I love it! It's not too heavy. Not that I think it's healthy, but it's not ridiculously heavy. All in all, if you want a great bar atmosphere, with good food at reasonable prices, give Maxwell's a try. Went here with friends on a recommendation. They have a bar and was pretty busy with sports on t.v.. The guys ordered the cheesesteak, son ordered the ravioli with "gravy", friend orders slices of pizza, and I got the spaghetti with a meatball. The pizza is thin New York style. The guys loved it. I prefer thicker crust pizza but it smelled good. My meatball was larger than a softball. I did not need the pasta! Yummy yummy yummy. Everyone loved their meals. This evening heading out of Park City after a weekend of skiing, we made a stop for an early supper before heading to the airport on a recommendation from a friend that lives locally. This place did not disappoint one bit. I was very impressed that they even use the Amoroso bread which they have shipped from Philadelphia. I grew up on the east coast so I immediately recognized the distinctive flavor and texture. We had pizza as well. The crust was perfect and they used the REAL sweet peppers. To top it off was the gracious service from our server Paula. She was very thoughtful, courteous and attentive. This will become a regular stop whenever we visit Park City. read more

We ordered take out for dinner. Their pizzas rock! They are huge also. I would say one pizza feeds four people. We had five people and ordered two pizzas and had about 1/2 to 3/4 of a pizza remaining and we had one big eater who ate 4 slices. Otherwise everyone else had two slices and that was plenty. Ordered The Godfather and Italian Stallion. Everyone loved both of them. What I really liked was for $24 (expensive) I felt as if I didn't get taken to the cleaners. They put a lot of toppings on and cheese (which they should for $24). And the crust was amazing. Everyone was raving about the crust. Not sure how to describe it other than thick and doughy, but cooked with nice crunch. We also got the seasonal arugula salad which was what you would expect. Very good. Quick and easy. Our food was good but I'm giving two stars because our service sucked!! Our waitress took forever on everything and our food took slightly longer than it should have. I ordered coffee and it came cold. 20 min later she finally comes back and I ask for a refill with HOT coffee and it comes very warm but not hot. She did not ask how our food was, could she get anything for us, asked nothing. She did not clear our table of any unused plates. We had no room on our table and was completely cramped. We had extra cups at our table for no one. We also had no extra napkins. So of course my 3 year old spills his adult size water and there's nothing to clean it up with. We can for lunch in between our daughters soccer tournament games and maybe they were just ill prepared for the crowd. I get help is hard to find but when you wait 50 mins for a pizza at the bar amd the Bartender forgets to submit your ticket you would think they would give you a discount or some free drinks. Nope. You get an apology at best. It pure chaos in there and the owners are nowhere to be found. Tonight the website says they are closed. Gotta find a New place. Bummer cause they were great. read more

Ok I guess wasn't totally impressed with the quality of food. I ordered the chicken Marsala and I have made better at home. I also ordered a bowl of clam chowder and am pretty sure I just got a cup. I did however got the opportunity from my two vegetarian dining companions to sample some of their eggplant parmigiana and it was fantastic! The atmosphere is very busy and is a little more leaning on a sports bar. Also the menu is confusing I was handed one entertaining the idea of fat kids pizza and the other side of Maxwell's and servers were to busy to answer my questions so I ordered in the dark lol. I'd go as far to say that Maxwells/Fat Kid makes the best pizza in Park City. I have been pleased with all of the food I have eaten there - except the cheesesteak - I'd pass on that. It's a nice little restaurant. Always busy so be prepared to wait a bit - but it's a fun place to wait. Lots of outdoor seating. Stopped here to grab some grub before dancing the night away at a concert at Park City Live. And what better than to indulge in everyone's favorite carb... pizza!! I am so happy my group had decided to eat here. Even though it was a Saturday night around 7, we ended up only having to wait about 10 minutes. The pizza did not disappoint and it was absolutely ginormous! We ordered 2 to split between 6 of us and had more than enough left over. I really liked the fact that they let us order different things on each half of the pizzas. We were all very indecisive because everything sounded so good! Everybody seemed to enjoy their choices in the end, seems like you cant really go wrong with any pizza. What made this experience five stars though was really the service. From the second we walked in we were warmly welcomed by the hostesses and our server even took the time to talk to us about things to do in the Park City area. Visiting Park City I heard of Maxwell's and had to visit. The server was awesome and had some great tips. Pizza was phenomenal, thin style with great toppings, and chewy crust. My only con which brought it down a star was the mushroom chicken mushroom. It was good except the consistency of the "sauce". It was more like a soup which made it difficult to eat with the spaghetti. The flavor was good but it needed to be reduced more or thickened with some flour to be a sauce. Recently came back to Park City, visiting Utah for the first time in two years. We went to this location once before. We went on a Sunday night, so it was a great place to have some appetizers and drinks on an off night during the off season at a place that was still open. The bartender we had made decent drinks, and while the place wasn't busy, I still liked how attentive he was. The manager was also very nice and stopped by often to engage in light conversation. The beer selection is lacking, but luckily we came for the liquor. Even though I said that it was a great place to have appetizers and drinks earlier, the appetizer selection is a little disappointing. The boneless wings we got were pretty good though. So in short, tasty apps, in spite of selection. Haven't had their pizza in a while though, which I do remember is amazing, and as close to NY style as you can get in Utah. read more

The worst part of our experience was having the manager come over and yell at my kids for making a mess in the bathroom. She didn't come talk to us first, or try to show us a mess in the bathroom.
