I've eaten at Ghidotti's a handful of times in my visits to Park City. It's always a solid option. They have good cocktails, the food is consistently good, and the service is friendly and attentive. Anything with the Bolognese sauce is my go to when I eat here. It's very, very good. I almost always ask for extra baskets of bread. It's amazing. The restaurant is welcoming. They have an obvious Italian theme and they go really hard on it. The place is comically large. I usually get sent here for work during the off season, so I can't imagine it even getting up to half capacity. It's a LONG walk to get to the bathroom. read more

We had reservations for 4, and were promptly seated. I ordered a sangria, soup, and calamari for our appetizers. The drink came after 15 minutes , so I asked about our appetizers and they said there was a mix up and they never came out. We ordered pasta allá vodka, pesto pasta, fettuccini Alfredo, and a kids pasta and meatball. All the food was good, except the pasta in the allá vodka was dry and stale. We then ordered the cherry torte, tiramisu, and a chocolate thing. All were good except the cherry torte. Overall good place, but they need to get it together on the orders. read more

The staff is outstanding. We had a reservation for 10. When we arrived we told them it would be eight. They quickly adjusted the table size and made it a table for eight and it looked like no one was missing. Everyone except one person ordered pasta of some sort at our table. Everyone stated that the pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauces were delicious, and cleaned their plate. One person who is gluten free ordered a salad for dinner, unfortunately, the salad came with croutons all over it. She had mentioned that she was gluten-free Most people ordered sodas one person ordered an Italian soda. They said that it was delicious. Two people decided to have dessert at the table and it was a beautiful presentation with a chocolate dome and gold flakes on top. They thoroughly enjoyed their desserts. The rest of the table decided to get their desserts to go. That's where things fell a little bit short . The tiramisu came in the bottom of a large plastic cup and the two people that ordered it were quite disappointed with the size saying that it was much smaller than they anticipated. One person ordered the cherry tart, it was extremely spongy when they opened it that evening about 10 minutes later after getting home. It was more of a sponge cake with cherries and not very appetizing The interior of the restaurant is nice but very dated and could probably use some updates. Look past the interior and know that the service is impeccable and your dinner will be delicious, skip the dessert. The flowers out front were absolutely beautiful and extremely welcoming as we walked into the restaurant. One downside was it was very hot in the restaurant. We dined here on Thursday night, one of our last nights in Park City. The restaurant itself was absolutely beautiful - the entryway, the fireplace, the breathtaking bar, the white table cloths. It was stunning. We did have a reservation and were seated quickly. Our waiter was prompt in greeting but everything else from that point forward was slow. We ordered drinks immediately, and they took about 25-30 minutes to arrive at the ta el. We also ordered dinner at the same time and it took almost an hour and half for our dinner to be served, and the restaurant was not very busy. My husband had the rigatoni balagnese which was rather bland, and I had the pesto strozapetti with salmon. The entire dish was dry - the salmon and the pasta. The best part of our dinner was the grape and Gorgonzola salad - AMAZING! Definitely the highlight of our dinner. The dirty martini was also delicious. Hilariously the waitress even tried to upsell the wine and then a few minutes later mentioned she doesn't drink. Weird Utah things I guess. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. But the food was lackluster all around. The Cacio e Peppe was a greasy glob. Think buttered noodles with cheese you served to your kids when they were little plus pepper. The beet salad sounded so good with a mix of roasted and pickled beets. But I couldn't find any pickeled variety and the roasted ones seemed under cooked. I reviewed this restaurant 5+ years ago. The golf group, playing Thursdays, has decided to make this our regular spot when another restaurant in town didn't seem to appreciate our business. However the Italian Manhattan was terrific and we love Seghesio Zinfandel. The appetizers that we really enjoyed included the Arancini, and the calamari. They served both with a zesty marinara sauce. The salads were good, but the beet salad needed to have more beets. The main dishes that we ordered and loved included the chicken parmigiana, with linguine, the Aglenotti with squash and added shrimp. The pappardelle with Bolognese was also delicious. The family to go meals you can order online are some of our favorites. The Alfredo and chicken Parmesan are always great. The bruschetta is a MUST. There Thursday local night deal is a good deal as is the family to go dinner option. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It has a classic vibe with beautiful chandeliers. THE BREAD SAUCE! We went here after a day of tubing at Soldier Hollow. The food was delicious, service on point. Our server told us as soon as we sat down the kitchen was backed up and suggested that we place our orders right away. We did so I had the bolognese with home made pasta, hubs had swordfish. A bit disappointing. I used the online order system (surcharge) to order a vegetarian pasta w/Caesar salad and Foccacia bread. No problem with ordering - quick and easy. Great system informs you that they've received your order, are processing your order, and when your order is ready. The ETA online gave a window up to 30-50 minute later. I had pulled up to the outside of Ghidotti's to the pick up curbside spot and called the number on the sign...and was told, "I don't know why the sign says curbside pick-up, you need to come in. " I walk in, young girl behind the counter. No greeting. I state that I was the one with the online order. No move to get the order, hand it to me, etc. I ask, "Is this mine?" and nod towards the bag across from her stand. The pasta was cooked well, but the vegetables were sparse and what appeared to be spinach? was extremely limp and soggy looking. The cherry tomatoes were few - but tasty. The sauce - blah. I needed parmesan or something to add some zest - but, there was none in the bag. The Caesar was fine and crisp. The Foccacia was the tastiest item here. I do wonder, who received the tip I left via online order? Hopefully, it was the person who packaged my dinner. Improve: Customer relations. There are many places to eat in Kimball J now. Stand out. Came here for a birthday dinner with 12 people and the service was slow because we had such a large party. We constantly needed to ask for water refills and that was the bare minimum. Anyways, the food was decent it wasn't anything crazy. The cocktails were not good at all. Utah just isn't very good at alcohol lol. Parking is easy, there is a big parking lot that is free. I highly recommend making reservations because although they have a lot of tables, the restaurant fills up quickly. I've been here twice and it was full both times. Loved the Spinach Artichoke appetizer and my husband loved the lasagna, said it was the best he has ever had. The seafood risotto was good, but the calamari was a little rubbery. The servers' Spanish accent was a little hard to understand, but all in all the service was good. Unless you're sitting near the kitchen entry where staff are yelling out "corner" every 3 minutes. We skipped the $10 appetizers to save room for dessert and the Tiramisu did not disappoint. The atmosphere brings a sense of elegance without being pretentious and the prices are far more reasonable than other Park City restaurants. Our server, Aldo, was amazing. Incredibly friendly, personable, always on top of things with a smile on his face. Even offered us an appetizer on the house, as it was his favorite. All 14 people enjoyed their meals very much. I'll say it again, this restaurant is gorgeous. If only the service and menu were as consistent as the decor. There was plenty of space on a Wednesday night and there seem to be enough servers floating around and yet somehow we were always looking for ours. She was a sweet girl from Argentina who probably shouldn't be a waiter in a nice restaurant in Park City. She didn't speak much English or understand the questions we had regarding the menu. We kept it simple and ordered drinks first. One of our gang wanted an apertol. About a half hour later he was served a peach Bellini. We ordered a bottle of wine but after the first glass we were serving ourselves. Same goes for the water. It was there when we sat down and ever after we were hunting people down for the pitcher. Bread came next which was mealy and flavorless. They had some sort of mustard sauce as opposed to a butter which didn't sit well for most of the people in our group. The pesto linguini was big enough to split if you were counting on dessert after which we were. However my boyfriend was sorely disappointed with his veal. The plate seemed to be more radicchio salad and sauce with tiny slivers of veal mixed in. Needless to say he left hungry. The scampi too was tasty but small for the price. Welcome to Park City it's rare that you get your money's worth here anymore. As for the tiramisu it had a unique texture and appearance and did not really taste like tiramisu but it was yummy nonetheless. It was not surprising that we were the last table in the house. But it wasn't because we had an amazing meal and scintillating conversation. It was because everyone ignored us down to having to ask twice for the check. Service was great and very attentive. We got the oso bucco and the pappardelle bolognese to share. The pasta was great, we both loved it. The oso bucco was very tender; however, the risotto that came with it was somewhat blend. We both agreed that the pappardelle was better. We also got the choclate piastachio bombe. It was very creamy but at the same time a little underwhelming. I give it a three stars mostly due to the price point. If it was a little cheaper, I would give it a four. read more
