Buyer beware, their normal return policy has been replaced with NO Returns due to COVID. Acceptable, except, that is not what is posted anywhere in the store, verbally stated or anywhere on the receipt. Had to return an item, was made like a thief for asking to return an item. Manager stated she now can't sell it, even though it's in a box and the box wasn't even open. Very poor customer service training. If the return was to be accepted why have to go in and make such mean comments. Also called me a bully because I requested they honor their return policy. I love this store. My mood is instantly improved the moment I walk in--the place just has a sunny, happy energy about it. I don't shop here as often as I should, simply because it's tucked away and I forget to visit. I never regret going, though, and always walk out with something I need. They often have amazing sales on essential oils (even organic ones), and they have a small but high-quality selection of bath and body products which I cannot find anywhere else local--especially not for such a low price. The employees are always cheerfully helpful, but they don't hover. I believe I have met the owner a couple times, too. I've lost 12% in body fat in eight months. Nic and Daniel the owners are two of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to nutrition that I've ever come in contact with. They put me on a solid regimen of products and supplements. I go in there every week and weigh in and I love the smoothies there. This coupled with a great gym routine have really helped me cut massive inches off my waist and bring my body fat countdown. They also have a machine in there which measures your body fat percentage as well as your weight. Everything the recommend is based off of this. I'm a regular here. read more

I've been in for smoothies several times, which are great. That said, I probably I'll go elsewhere for smoothies in the future after my experience today. I went in searching for a brand of vitamins I've previously purchased online but have also seen in stores in Seattle. When I entered and stood waiting for some help, the overly-tanned guy near the counter reluctantly pulled himself away from a personal conversation. I asked about the vitamins, and he proceeded to inform me that you can only get that brand by prescription from a naturopath. I told him that that wasn't quite the case and explained how I've purchased them in the past. He did NOT appreciate being wrong (perhaps it had something to do with who he's been conversing with prior to my arrival...?), and became actually argumentative and hostile. I want to first start out by saying I love this place. The most amazing smoothies I've ever had. Great staff. Except for one person. The older lady with the short greyish-brown hair has been so rude to me the last few times I've been there that I actually kind of dread going there when she is working. She makes me feel rushed when I'm trying to decide my smoothie order and the demeanor she has at times almost makes me feel as though she doesn't want to make my smoothie; Especially if it's later at night. At one time, I couldn't decide what I wanted and saw her role her eyes at me, and I could feel her annoyance from behind the counter. Keep in mind that I've been going to this store infrequently before and this guy remembered me from before and what I've bought from them in the past. I was very reluctant to make the trek to Poulsbo to Maxx Nutrition from Bainbridge. Couldn't I just order online? But here's where my problem was: I am training for a long distance open water swim in the Puget Sound, and I need some help understanding recovery supplements. I've never used anything in my life, but it's become clear that if I'm going to be able to swim 9 miles in 54-degree water, I'm going to need supplements. I can't get a personal conversation with an extremely knowledgeable person if I order online. So I made the trek. And now I'm a total convert. I worked with both Nick and Alec (at different times) at the Poulsbo store and both were attentive, asked good questions and helped me figure out what would work best for my body. These guys know their stuff. I give them highest marks for customer service. In addition to being attentive and knowledgeable, they let me return two products that didn't quite work for me, even though I'd opened them. (Let's not make a habit of this, people!) I traded them in for two that are a better fit for me (no sucralose, no dark chocolate/caffeine) and I'm on my way again. read more

Organic smoothies with real fruit! I feel like that says enough. There isn't a smoothie shop in the area that can compare. I feel like I should add that the taste will be different than your average smoothie shop. They are an organic based smoothie so you won't get that sweetness that you are probably used to. Those places add about a half a cup of sugar to your smoothie among other not so natural additives. I don't do much shopping in the actual store part. I will say they have a very good selection of natural/organic skincare, hair care and hygienic products. read more

Pretty much since they have opened, We go to Maxx every weekend after soccer with the kids (age 5 and 6). Not only are the smoothies great (and they always make sure they are) but it helps to reinforce how good eating/drinking healthy can be. If you go and you find you don't like something, ask them to fix it and they will absolutely do right by you. Besides smoothies, they are great for info about overall health. During the flu season they had a great supplement for us. Also, the 'oreganol oil' is great if you have dry skin. Seriously, check them out and you won't be sorry. read more

Was not at all impressed by their drinks. I ordered a drink that was strawberry based, that tasted more along the lines of a Pina Colada. Verrryy disappointing. After that I told myself I would never go back to Maxx, but on my way to class in Poulsbo I decided to stop by the Poulsbo Maxx Nutrition and give it another taste. I mentioned to the guy making my drink how I really disliked my drink in Silverdale. He told me that I need to go back and give them another try. So I did. And it made no difference. The drink was still terrible. On the otherhand I did like the drink I purchased in Poulsbo, but I would drive all the way to Poulsbo just to get my drink than to get one from Silverdale, I learned my lesson. read more

When I tried to return it to their other store the clerk talked about its virtues for 15+ minutes (time I'll never get back!), then realized he couldn't return the product because they don't carry it at that branch. I'm visiting family here in beautiful Washington. This was a quick stop for me and my husband as I ran out of my vitamins and herbs the day we flew here. I would say the price are a but expensive, they were gracious enough to give us a military discount and told us about shipping any where in the world. I feel the prices were extremely high though ( I mention this again because I live in a high cost area as well and my products weren't this much) I wanted to try their smoothies but totally forgot, their customer service is amazing! While I'm not sure if I trust the level of knowledge of the people working there about their supplements, I did enjoy their prices. The protein supplement I normally use was about 20 dollars cheaper than it was at GNC and 10 dollars cheaper than I could find on base at the NEX. Needless to say, I'll be shopping here simply because it's better priced than anywhere else in the area. Protein shake I ordered here was excellent as well. Fresh bananas make all the difference.
