This place was fantastic! Ordered the mole enchiladas which were saucey and delicious. The blood orange margarita was great. My mom ordered the chimichangas and I liked hers better than my own food. The service was incredibly fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is colorful and lively.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will certainly come back!

Mexican vibes from a family owned establishment...you're welcomed into this restaurant with smiles and great service. They want you to enjoy the food but they also want to genuinely make you feel at home. Amazing home made hot sauce! Everything is delicious. The corn?? You. need 2! And the empanadas are packed with flavor all around not just in the filling! Please go!

Cafe Maya is a staple in the community for those who grew up in the area. Cafe Maya is an ever popular Mexican restaurant in Fishkill, NY with a wide variety of Mexican and Mexican-American dishes served in a family environment. The restaurant space is pretty large and they do have a nice sized parking lot. If you are going on a weekend for dinner, you can almost certainly expect there to be at least a little bit of a wait. In addition to the wide variety of dishes, they also have a rather extensive drinks menu with a whole assortment of margaritas. This visit, I decided to go with the enchiladas. They were tasty and the sauce was very well seasoned. The beans and rice that came on the side were fantastic too. The vibes here are great, and although it's been several years since I last came for brunch, I remember their weekend brunch being immaculate. Always a good option for a meal!

Went here with one of my daughters. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Food, ambience & service were all good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bathroom was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall good experience. Large portions & staff constantly checking to see if everything was ok & if we needed anything. Will definitely be coming back here again & bringing others.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Mexican music plays softly below the chatter. Complimentary chips and salsa were delicious. I usually don't get an appetizer, but today I ordered a special tostones: steak strips & caramelized onions over plantains. The Carne Asada and Mole was delicious. I've had better fried ice cream, but overall the food was great. The sangria will keep you returning for more. In fact we took, some to go.

The place is nice, plenty of staff( i think too many) the service is good, but it feels like swimming with sharks!! The food is ok, no really tasty, the mole was ok almost mediocre, the mole no taste, the chicken no flavor, the rice dry, the been water down The Prices Very $$$$$$ for the quality of the food, i will not recommend There are better places and cheaper

Good food but way overpriced. Nothing special but we still enjoyed our meal. $22 for an entree is insane, but it is NY.

There is a difference. The staff is cordial and more than happy to explain what's on the menu. The lunch is more than sufficient. A full bowl of soup AND the main. The soup is a meal in itself; shredded white meat chicken, carrots, celery, potatoes, scallions, a touch of cilantro, the broth in itself is enough to fill an appetite. Nothing is overwhelmed by herbs or spices. Succulent chicken, tasty beans, the Maduros were perfect. The atmosphere is inviting. The kitchen is clean and there's additional seating in the back.

You can see in the photos it appears they're trying to be more of a cocktail lounge/ restaurant as there was a stage in the front. Wasn't thrilled with table as the corners were broken and they gave us fold up chairs. This just gave me a local food spot feel vs cocktail lounge. As we sit down we were approached by 2-3 servers. Put in our drinks and appetizer order. Both of which were good, tasty. Our dinner was arroz con pollo and pernil. Found it odd they added bits of fried chicken cutlet on top of the areoz con pollo. Dessert was passion fruit cheesecake. We enjoyed our time but not sure I'd come back to dine in. Would likely order takeout. Staff was nice. Friendly. Food was good. Hot. Cheesecake was frozen even though it tasted good. I think with an increase in Latin/Caribbean cuisine places in the area, this is just okay. Not sure how the night scene is.

Came around 4:30/5 and it was fairly busy, considering it was early for dinner. The line moved quickly. The staff was polite to me but I noticed one or two of them were a little passive aggressive to each other. Food was fine. It was Chipotle. Filling, but a slop bowl. The ingredients were fresh and portions were good. As others have mentioned, this location was very dirty. There was food all over the tables. Garbages overflowing and needing to be changed. Which... if they're not getting changed over between lunch and dinner, then I imagine the restaurant would probably stay that way through the rest of the night. Come here for the convenience, not the experience.

This customer base is... brutal…read more I came in expecting chaos because of the low rating, but what I actually saw was customers getting upset over pretty normal end-of-day issues. People were frustrated about things like brown rice being out around 8:40pm and utensils not being fully stocked. The staff stayed polite and patient the whole time. I ordered a basic chicken, rice, and beans bowl. It was hot, fresh, and exactly what I expect from Chipotle. This isn't fine dining -- it's fast food. If certain items run out late at night, it's because they've been popular. The employees were doing their best, and my experience was completely normal. The rating here feels more about unrealistic expectations than actual service problems.

We received our order pretty quickly and everything was warm (not super hot). We ordered beef and cheese empanadas - they were very fresh and crunchy but bland. We ordered a large maduro - fantastic - large pieces of banana perfectly cooked - soft and sweet. I ordered the pernil combo with rice and gondules and yuca fries - the pernil while soft was pretty salty. The rice was very good - good portion - needed some hot sauce. The yuca fries were very good - the sauce it came with was too spicy for me. Hubby had a pastele which he said was very good. He also had the pork chunks with rice and gondules which was also a bit salty. We decided next time to try some other items. We will be back.

Their chimichuri sauce was really good and helped elevate the steaks flavor. The tostones were soggy and packed with the garlic drip dip. It was oily and spilled inside so a lot of the tostones and the garlic on it, which my kid didn't like. The black beans look as if they were poured out of a can with the clear liquid and they were super salty. The potato salad was also too salty and not edible. Not sure why there were apples in there. Spent too much money.
