The back of the seats in the MPX !!! You pay more for trash

The decline is bad. I went to watch BeetleJuice with friends who drove down from Visalia, and I was embarrassed. The service was horrible. No one was at the podium to scan our tickets but we couldn't enter because a girl at customer service told us to wait. Then, we go to order food and we're told the kitchen is closed at 730p on a Thursday. Then they don't have any memorabilia left when the movie just came out and tickets were not a high demand. Once inside the theater the seats were incredibly damaged, photo attached. Ultimately paying more for trash seats and service.

All right the only reason why I'm giving this theater in Delano a three is because we like the movie other than that the service was terrible we went to see a 5:45 movie that place was completely empty It took 20 minutes for fries we were supposed to get a text message saying they were ready 15 minutes later I think I'm going to go check on the fries see what's going on they haven't even been started to cook yet they seem like they forgot them and it was no reason for it because that place was dead it was nobody there they refunded my money but that's not the point The customer service should be a lot faster when there's no one there

I love The Maya Theater and will always hold special memories here. Being that my wife and I would always come here on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Fridays, Saturday and you get the point! We have Maya Rewards so we were here every chance we had. The staff have always taken care of us and we loved just being here.

Selection of food was good. But food was ok. Kinda wish they had more place to lounge. And they don't serve alcohol. Their arcade games were cool tho

Delano is becoming a nicer place to come home to bc of the addition to this beautiful cinema. I'm not familiar too much with the Maya Cinemas brand but I am nothing but impressed with the beauty of this new Delano gem. It's so nice to know I can drive 10 minutes instead of the old 45 to Bakersfield to watch a movie. The facility is clean and modern. Some theaters have reclining seats, which is reserved for the newer movies. The older theaters have regular seating, which means it's the same style of seat it just doesn't recline and have a foot rest. Whenever I'm back in my hometown my mom and I have a movie date! Cheers all around to Delano's amazing theater!

Don't waste your money or time at this establishment. I tried buying an extra ticket after the movie had already started & they would not sell it to me even though the theater was empty. I asked to talk to the manager & he was not any help as well. This will be the last time I spend my money here. I'd prefer to drive to Bakersfield or Tulare next time. I hope this cinema goes out of business. Poor customer appreciation and service!!!

Cue the dramatic trailer voice:…read more In a world where movie theaters can be sticky, chaotic, and somehow out of popcorn... one Bakersfield theater dared to be clean. Studio Movie Grill was a solid date-night win. From check-in to the bar to seat-side service, everyone was friendly, helpful, and on it. The seats are comfy enough that you may briefly question whether you came for the movie or a sanctioned recliner nap. We usually stop at the bar first, where I stay loyal to the Not-House Chardonnay while my husband goes full action-movie lead with the cocktails. A Tito's Bloody Mary feels like the brunch sequel nobody asked for but everyone secretly enjoys: bold, dramatic, and ready for its close-up. Then we order food, head to our seats, and let the magic happen. I also just learned SMG has a free rewards program, which honestly deserves its own plot twist. I've been using Fandango credits, but SMG rewards looks better since you can earn credit on menu items too. That's a very strong supporting character. Plus they support "special needs" humans with free movie nights...bonus for the non-profit twist. So why 4 stars and not 5? Because the plant-based menu is still waiting for its big breakout role. I think there's basically the avocado flatbread if you remove the cheese, which is fine, but I'm ready for the plant-based options to get top billing. Overall: clean theater, great service, comfy seats, drinks, food, and a fun date night that does not require awkwardly whispering, "Did we just spend $80 to sit in public?" Well... maybe, but at least it was worth it.

We were in no rush (and where were we gonna go really?) so we thanked him for being up front about the delay. My espresso martini and the hubs voodoo ranger came out in about 10 minutes but after another 10-15 minutes we pressed the button to find out about our daughter's Sprite. The lady in front of us must have pressed her button as well and when the server came she started yelling at him about the delay. I swear I'll never understand why people yell at the ones that serve their food but ‍ oh well. Our food took around the 40 minutes he originally told us so we were cool. I've decided however that I don't like eating in the dark. Especially not salad. I ordered the chili lime chicken salad and I was disappointed. The tortilla strips were stale and the chicken was hard as a rock. I figured the servers were already dealing with enough so I let it slide and just didn't eat the salad. When the hubs went to the restroom, the server thanked him for having such a nice family. He told him that we were the only ones that did not complain about the delays and he offered us a discount. The hubs took the discount and gave it to him as a tip. Moral of the story guys is, Be patient with your servers. They try hard but some things are just out of their control.

We…read morehad all been wanting to see Obsession, and when they told me they hadn't seen it yet, I thought it would be the perfect activity since we're all fans of scary movies. We found parking quickly, check-in was fast and easy, and the theater itself appeared clean and well-maintained. The auditorium was a bit on the smaller side, but it still felt comfortable and wasn't overly crowded, which I actually appreciated. Before the movie started, we made our mandatory concession stand stop. I was especially excited when I spotted kettle popcorn, but unfortunately they told me they were already sold out even though our movie was fairly early in the day. That was definitely a letdown, but luckily I still enjoy classic buttery movie theater popcorn, so I was able to pivot without too much heartbreak. I also liked that the drink station had touchscreen machines with plenty of soda and juice options to choose from. My mom decided to get an ICEE, but she was a little disappointed when she went back for a refill during the movie and found the machine was out of service. Between the missing kettle popcorn and the ICEE issue, the concession experience wasn't quite as smooth as we had hoped. One of my favorite parts of the visit was definitely the reclining seats. Being able to kick back, put my feet up, and get comfortable made the movie even more enjoyable. I also appreciated that the auditorium wasn't freezing cold like some theaters tend to be. As for Obsession, I personally didn't find it all that scary, but it was entertaining and suspenseful enough to keep me engaged throughout the film. More importantly, it was a fun way to spend quality time with my family. Overall, we had a really nice movie day together. While there were a couple of minor hiccups with the concession area, the clean theater, comfortable seating, easy parking, and convenient location made for an enjoyable experience. Since this is the closest theater to my family's home I would definitely come back to catch another movie the next time I'm in town.

Purchased popcorn and drinks and found our seats. As the trailers for other movies were playing I noticed a few employees helping customers with their chairs as they were not working. The employees were professional and took care of the chair issues promptly. The theater was full and with the movie being geared towards kids there was some excess noise yet nothing too distracting. The employees kept coming in and watched over the theater which definitely helped the movie experience. Overall, had a great experience! The only note is that the screen was dark which made the visual experience a bit lacking.

As you enter the "lobby", you first get a perfect look at a charming facility. You then immediately walk up to ticket counter/snack bar a few feet from the front door entrance. You then have the option to enter the actual theatre room located directly behind the snack bar from two sides with a door on each side of the snack bar. Upon entering you walk into a rather large theatre with your traditional movie screen. Then you're left wondering how did they fit this screen in here? This place is a gem and a must if you're in the area. If you've driven by the theatre don't waste your time thinking, "I wonder how that place looks like inside?" Stop by, find out for yourself, and enjoy a great movie at a great location! P.S. This place needs to come out in a movie (horror, teen drama or romcom, or some comedy by Seth Rogan) because it has too much charm to go unnoticed.

Padded upholstered seats lean back and are most comfortable when you bring your own pillow to put behind your back (small town theaters are perfect for that kind of casualness).
