Visited Mayami Wynwood on the last day of a girls' birthday trip to Miami. While some of the group had already departed me and my girlfriend decided that we couldn't leave Miami without going to brunch. Let's just say the bartender took very good care of us so well I don't necessarily remember if the food was good or bad. It's a decent serving but it was wayyy too salty. My friends ordered the taco bowls, they are literally a bowl with meat and avocado and corn tortillas on the side. So you make your own tacos. Overall I give the food a 3 SERVICE: SUCKS THIS IS WHY I WOULDNT GO BACK. Valet seemed to only have one person on a Thursday night before rolling loud which means it was busy. The guy working there was on his phone talking to one of the bouncers and wasn't even paying attention to the valet. On Thursday's before 9pm you aren't required to buy a bottle we arrived at 845 checked in and the rest of the party arrived at 855. It's pretty sedate for dinner, and the club atmosphere doesn't kick off until after 11:00, although they had a dj during happy hour who was spinning some great tunes. This was my first time at Mayami, I remember trying to enter on another day but they have a strict dress code and didn't let me in because I was wearing a Marlins jersey. This time was different, I came dressed appropriately and ready to eat and drink. The drinks were perfect, well balance and flavorful. Props to the bartenders. I ordered the Bana Vibe which offered a small hint of banana. At first I thought "I wouldn't like it" but honestly the banana taste was not overpowering and complimented the drink very well. The food could have been better however my favorite was the Taquitos de Wagyu. Unfortunately it was kinda dark so it was hard to see what I was eating. I almost felt like I was dinning in the dark. Came here on a Thursday night, admission was $20 for everyone - both females and males. Though in turn they give you a $20 slip for a drink. The music included a variety of genres, there were two DJs and plenty of space. It wasn't pretty crowded and the crowd itself...well not exactly what I would prefer, there seemed to be a lot of older men sort of just prying on the women. Bottle service is pretty reasonable. The space itself is nice, gives you magical foresty vibes with lots of laser lights. The only issue was two of our entrees were cold. But, they reheated the food, but did not remake it. My companions seabass was smaller from bring reheated. After two hours we were informed if we wanted to stay we had to purchase a bottle of alcohol. So we purchased a bottle of tequila and enjoyed the performers with fire and the cold smoke.
