With that in mind, I can honestly say that Bre and Oscar are perfect examples of the kind of people every business wants to have. I've had a 3 year problem with termites in my walls. Call it a nervous breakdown, it was very hard to sleep and feel safe! For three years!! The owner of the building was friends with a family member, so I couldn't handle this *major* problem legally. My family member asked if they would have my place treated, and their first response was for her to tell me 'termites are everywhere, it's not a big deal'. After asking again, they agreed to have a 'name brand' company come to inspect. That person only looked around my room and said there was no problem. Even with all the pin holes and peeling paint. So to make me happy, the owner had them come do their cheapest treatment, foaming my walls. In the two years prior to this, I learned more about termites than I ever thought I would. Two things: 1. I knew foaming only my walls wouldn't work because there are six units in this building. 2. I know more about termites than the person who came to spray my walls does. Scary fact! This worked for three weeks, and then I started hearing them again. If you look up 'termite head banging', you'll know what I'd been hearing every day for two years! The owner said that's the best they can do. Wrong. According to city laws all rental units with an insect/rodent infestation are considered uninhabitable. Social Security doesn't pay enough to live on, so I arranged my life in a way I could start saving to make this go away! I looked here for a highly rated termite/pest control company and found Premium, with the full 5 stars in every review. I called them and Bre was a delight. She even showed empathy for how long I'd been dealing with this and all the sleep I've lost because of it. She was genuine and I felt great about her. A quick appt. was made and then Joel showed up. I didn't know he was the owner. After five minutes he asked me to go outside with him and he showed me clear evidence of termites (frass) in a circuit box below my window, then showed me a large hole where the stucco and roof meet. A hole going right into my ceiling. The other company didn't see these issues, but they also didn't really pay attention or look in every possible place. Joel told me what would work, and Oscar came to treat it within a few days. He was very nice and showed me exactly what he would be doing inside and out. It all made sense. He had to come back to finish one area. When he finished to whole area I heard nothing. WOW! I had to get used to sleeping again in a quiet room! I have a 2 year guarantee I won't hear them again. Not even 1 star is worthy of this company. I asked them to remediate a rodent problem. The…read moreservice man showed up promptly, I thought listened to what I said, and laid 2 traps in the attic, saying there was no evidence of rats. Proceeded to dust exterior of home for spider webs (apparently part of the service) but never bothered to look for intrusion points of the rodent. Rats continued for 3 days, with no show from Orkin. BTW, Orkin attempted to sell me an annual package, $313 for initial visit , $110 monthly. I knew I was in trouble when the man showed up with a clipboard and asked me to sign a bunch of documents. I "negotiated" the one time $313 fee which included unlimited visits for a month. After 3 days I called a 2nd company. This service man immediately found the intrusion points, stuccoed it shut, went to the attic and found the traps laid nowhere near where the rats were entering (of course since Orkin never looked for this), found evidence of rats, which again Orkin couldn't or didn't look for. Orkin was scheduled to return so he told me to have Orkin lay traps by the intrusion points in the attic. Another Orkin service man showed up - I explained to him that his colleague did not seal the intrusion points and asked him to lay traps at the attic intrusion points. 2 more sleepless nights passed. I called the other company, he came out and found Orkin's traps nowhere near where I'd asked them to be placed. There is so much more but I'm so over this horrible company - they should be condemned by the Better Business Bureau and be put out of business.
