Good food, great customer service. Not the best sandwich I ever had in my whole life, but definitely the best I've had in El Cajon.

This used to be a pretty good place but when it changed ownership things kind of went downhill. I don't think they have ever gotten my order right, the meat portions are rather small, food doesn't taste the same. I am certainly a creature of habit so this change did not make lunch very appealing. Fortunately there are more lunch options available. The owners are nice just very cheap. read more

YUM! I've driven by this place so many times and never thought to go in until today. I was going through yelp trying to find somewhere different to eat for lunch and stumbled upon this place. I read the reviews and the menu and knew I had to try it out for myself! I'm so glad I did! First off, THE PRICES! It's perfect for someone like me who only needs a half sandwich and maybe a bag of chips. Today I got my whole meal (drink included) for 6 bucks. It's hard to find food these days that are cheap, fresh and delicious. I ordered the avogobble on wheat and added sprouts and onions. My mom ordered the roast beef sandwich with a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. Both of us loved our sandwiches and loved the soup! We arrived around 12:10 and by 12:30 the place was packed! Our food came out really quick which was a nice surprise. Maya's will become our new weekly lunch spot. We were already deciding what we were going to get next week! read more

Best Sandwhich place in town! My husband introduced me to this great place. I will recommend it if your around the area and just want to grab a fresh sandwhich and fresh fruit smoothie. I even did their catering for my baby shower. The Owner is really nice, everything time we go he greets us with a smile. We have been here a couple of times. We absolutely love the Turkey Berry sandwich. It is reminiscent of the Gobbler Sandwich from Pioneer Chicken. We called ahead and our sandwiches were ready when we got there. I asked for it without mayo and my husband had it without onions and they did a great job. Nice people but to cheap. The prices are low if you weren't paying for mostly bread and lettuce . They only put one one strip of meat on your sandwich and the rest is lettuce . Tried this place two different times and they are consistent in low quality meat and quantity of meat. As nice as they are I won't be going back. I work next to Mayas Deli and I recommend it highly. There are daily specials, great portions and healthy options. A big perk for me is going in and being recognized and having suggestions given to me based on my individual tastes when I can't figure out what I want. I would eat here every day if I could afford.
