Cable didn't work and when we went to the office to discuss they provided a Cable box. That didn't work either. WI-FI, its an open WI-FI so service is spotty and we had very little of it. So when they advertise WI-FI just know there isn't a password. You may or may not get Cable i guess it depends on spot your in. We were just told a water main broke so we have a little pressure tonight. Water being shut off tomorrow morning and service starting about noon. WHAT ??? now no water!!! When we were given our initial spot they were putting us in a place where there was a fire hydrant in the middle of it, obviously we weren't gonna fit and had to call emergency line to speak to someone to move us. He was great and we were given another spot. But... no cable!!! For the price we paid we won't be back. Its too bad the resort itself seems decent and the people in surrounding spots friendly. Alot of people are here fulltime and they have homes and rental cabins. Not our cup of tea. Should have just gonna to Parker i think. Sorry Arizona Oasis, we've been to much nice for less and full hookups with cable and WI-FI were just that.

Everyone knew each other and everyone was super friendly. You never have to worry about being unsafe in any situation here. Everyone waves, helps you out, feeds you, and shares! The amenities are really good. Bath houses are super clean and there is always hot water. General store was awesome. A great place to get hot coffee in the morning if you don't have a way to make it yourself, which we didn't. The river is beautiful. Even on Memorial Day weekend, I didn't find it to be too crowded. Even when everyone was bringing in the boats, everyone was patient and collected. People here are all about relaxing and having a good time with their friends. I can't wait to come back!

With three females in my family it was a welcome reprise from the Havasu/Parker s&!% show. Grass, flush toilets, showers and exceptional water. In the last few years it has fallen into a steady state of decline. The grass is more dead that alive, the bathrooms are a disgrace (same toilet paper on the men's bathroom floor for three days, showers are a breeding ground for germs, you have to be Wilt Chamberlain to use the toilets without a stool ... and the girls say theirs is no better). More I could say but see no sense in beating a dead horse. Not sure what has happened but if you are thinking about going there for your hard earned yearly vacation, you might want to reconsider your options. Steve M.

So, have a picnic, fish, jetski, boating, hunting or wildlife watching there's lots 2 c. The people r usually friendly so go for a hike or Bbq and just have fun. There's lots of birds, owls, deer and desert flowers to see. Just have fun. Stores nearby and even gas. But only 1 hot food place close by. So bring water, toiletpaper & supplies, sunscreen & deepwoods off and proper clothes n u'll b ok. Don't 4get 2 tow your own trash to show u appreciate the hospitality. Visited Walter's Camp on my first canoe camp trip on 3/13/25. I was pleased to see that it wasn't…read morebusy. Tabitha, the camp host helped me get set up and gave me the lay of the land. The general store has a few items, merchandise, and even a bar back that is used when the camp is in full swing after Memorial Day according to Tabitha. I chose a far site at the edge of the property underneath two tamarisk/salt cedar trees which was great for shade. I launched my canoe at the concrete boat ramp and paddled the old Colorado River channel right out in front of the camp which is not lacking in it's scenery of Cibola Natl Wildlife Refuge and the beautiful Trigo Mountains Wilderness viewable eastward. Nighttime is where things came alive! Dozens of braying burros, coyotes, and owls that would hoot up a storm in the trees above me. An a/c or refrigeration until by the general store ran in cycles all night and was about as annoying as someone running a generator. The facilities provided had showers and pit toilets, all in good condition. Taking a moment to stretch/yoga before the morning paddle in the communal hang out area in front of the general store was a great idea. I was greeted by an amazing SW sherbet sunrise over the calm waters of the inner channel of the Colorado, it was spectacular. I'm typically a dispersed camper, so some of my gripes about the noise you can probably take with a grain of salt. Would I stay the night again? Sure, but I'd prefer something a bit more isolated. Thank you Tabitha for all your advice on boating the river as a novice, appreciate what you do!

Stayed in campground site 111. Very nice new upper loop. Full hook ups. Unfortunately not many of…read morethe sites are level. We needed 50 amp due to heatwave 100 plus weather. A real challenge to get a class A motorhome level. You would think when making a new campground the sites would be level. Most sites short only 37 ft. Today's rvs are much larger. If you have a trailer it easier to level. Most staff very helpful but the main ranger thinks he is a drill sergeant with attitude. We wanted to see the actual park before coming as this new loop we had never seen. We were at another state park and had reservations for this park. No way. You have to pick off the website that does not show accurately the way you will face. So our site got all afternoon sun. We couldn't even enjoy the outside with such hot conditions. Five star campground if sites were level and the jerk ranger wasn't here.

If you're looking for rest & relaxation, this is for you! Important to know they're are only 4 site at 50 amp & the rest 30 amp. So book in enough time to get a 50amp or come prepared with you stepdoen adapter. Grocery store with everything you need within 20 minutes. Beautiful arizona sunsets over the lake. Plenty of shade trees on your site. We will return if ever in the area

Very clean, small state park on the Colorado River. They have large RV and tent camping spaces…read more There is a gift store, camp host, restrooms and full hookups. There is a nice little boat ramp into a cove next to a small island in the middle of the river. The park is downstream from the Parker Dam and the flow of the river varies based on the power needs of the area. You can look up the flow rates at the government Parker Dam website. Usually it is at it's lowest levels over night, and moderate level between high flows. Usually high flow is early morning and afternoon and is about 8x faster than the overnight flow. Moderate is about 3x faster than low flows. Keep your boat above the high water level. The park is located between two cliffs and has hiking that goes back to the other near state park. You can get awesome views of the river and over the park. There are abandoned mines to explore. There are lots of birds and around the river. I did not see much wild life in January. If on the river just passed the island on the upriver side there is a sunken boat. The water is very cold about 48 degrees all year. Lots of RV parks above and below the park. Kayaking is nice up and down, but going upriver gets pretty hard about a half mile up river. Nice place
