I would give it zero stars if I could. We attended a wine tasting at their restaurant and their manager Kamyer pretty much ran us out of the restaurant stating we were being too loud. We asked if anybody complained and he stated that he thought we were too loud nobody complained. We asked to speak with a manager and he pulled his manager card saying it was his call. Not worth the stress when there are so many options out there. We will be back but not here. read more

This hotel was built in 1927 and has still kept the charm and elegance of that period. It's smaller and almost in the boutique category. It's also listed as one of the Historic Small Inns of the World. It's location is convenient to shopping, restaurants, entertainment venues including the Fifth Avenue and A.C.T Theater and is within walking distance of Benaroya Hall. The room we had was quite spacious and the bathroom and dressing area had obviously been retrofitted. Like most older hotels, the bathroom itself was small with a pedestal sink so it was a bit of a challenge to accommodate the usual toiletries and medications that one takes on a trip. But otherwise the shower/tub was sufficient and the dressing area had cabinets, closet, and drawers to store clothing. The staff was very helpful in assisting us with addresses, directions to venues and basically how to get around the area. We also discovered that the Mayflower Park is connected from the upper lobby to an attached walkway to the Nordstrom building, monorail and light rail. Very convenient, especially during inclement weather! The other pluses of this hotel are the two restaurants that are attached. Andaluca serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is Spanish and it is excellent! The other small restaurant/bar is Oliver's which opens later and mostly serves light fare and cocktails----and on Sundays it's open for lunch. It's a great option for those wanting just a sandwich or a small plate meal and/or a professionally made cocktail! I might add that a small maintenance issue came up while we were here. A tableside lamp malfunctioned when the light was switched on. My husband went down to the front desk and reported it. We went out for awhile and when we returned to the room a short time later, we discovered that the lamp had been replaced! I would highly recommend the Mayflower Park as a place to stay on a visit to Seattle. For a small hotel it really offers a lot of amenities as well as good customer service! read more

Our family and wedding guests spent a long weekend at this lovely hotel and it was perfect. All of the staff are fabulous and extremely helpful. Whenever we had a question, someone took the time to find the answer. We held a bridal Tea Party at the hotel and it was lovely! The rooms were very comfortable and nice (great comfortable mattresses). Centrally located right in the heart of the city and we loved the history of the hotel and that it is locally owned. Oliver's Martini Bar was a perfect end to a fantastic wedding day! read more

The front desk was really attentive, welcoming, and helpful----the rooms were small, but very cozy and quaint. We loved our 11th floor corner room, as we had two great windows and a lovely view of the city. Parking at the hotel was odd, as we parked in the parking garage RIGHT NEXT TO the hotel, but had to enter and exit through the mall. Awkward hauling pillows and luggage through the mall to access our car, but the proximity was worth the "trouble". Honestly not sure what else you are supposed to do---that was the closest parking to the hotel, and it only cost us $14 dollars for 1 day + over night parking. read more

This is such a nice hotel!!! WOW I didn't realize how nice looking the hotel is until I got there. I was really skeptical because it's not a big name down in the Southwest. I was there for a weekend getaway and wanted to see what the Pacific Northwest is all about when it's not raining. I fell in love with this hotel and its surrounding. Pretty much I step outside and I'm in downtown. If I didn't need to drive to Portland, I wouldn't have rented a car because everything's within walking distance. The bed is comfortable, the decoration is nice and sophisticate. The lighting is low so you can sleep in and won't be disturbed by what's going on outside. The parking is valet- so be prepared to have ones and fives. If you expect a huge room then this is not the place for you, the room size is adequate, not too small but I wouldn't say it's big. It is best for honeymooners and business trips. I hope to come back to this hotel one day soon. It is within walking distance to the fish market as well as the shopping center. read more

Stayed here a few times based on the central location (easy walk down to Pike Place Market, to Belltown, Pioneer square) & they also typically have great deals on their website online. Rooms are smallish but perfect for 1-2, queen sized bed was incredibly comfortable. Very clean, has a classy look without looking worn & tired. Free wi-fi. Fitness room is small but sufficient if you're training inside. Would stay here again anytime. read more

We had a perfect time here. I loved every aspect of it. Location... cleanliness, service...we stayed in a corner double queen suite (2 bathrooms) and were very satisfied with the value we received. It's true that the tram that leads to the Space Needle etc is very close by. The Pike Place Marketplace is only a few blocks away..you cannot stay in a more perfect location or establishment in downtown Seattle, I am convinced. read more

A very friendly hotel! Everyone who we've encountered that works at the Mayflower Park Hotel has been very personable, respectful and strikes up a conversation with you! We made a reservation for this hotel at the last minute and were very surprised by the decor in the lobby and rooms. The lobby is absolutely magnificent- no wonder they are a historical site! Our rooms were very upscale but still kept the historic feeling. Their rooms include a coffee maker, TV, hair dryer, and iron with ironing board. We were able to get WiFi on the 8th floor. Andaluca and Oliver's are connected to this hotel, although we did not eat at either of those restaurants. If you are visiting Seattle then definitely check this place out! read more

Thoroughly mediocre. The room was quite small, the "deep soaking tub" is indeed fairly deep, but has an overflow drain placed where you can't fill it more than a regular bathtub. Sort of defeats the purpose. I've had better amenities in something like a Marriott or a Hyatt. Aside from location there's really not much to recommend this hotel. You could definitely do worse, but could also do much better. read more

I loved my experience at the Mayflower. They go above and beyond to assure your stay is excellent. This is a renovated historical hotel. That means room size and bathroom size are on the small side. What you don't get in size you get in quality of service. Also, the location is perfect. It is right by public transportation to the airport, walking distance to the waterfront, pioneer square, pike street market, and the monorail to see the space needle/Seattle center. If I ever come back to Seattle this is where I will stay. read more

Mayflower Park in downtown Seattle is a historic, elegant, charming place with all the comforts of a modern hotel. The service was exceptional; we were greeted by a friendly staff member every time we stepped foot inside. Our deluxe queen suite was large yet cozy with fantastic views of downtown Seattle including the Space Needle. The hotel also happens to be in walking distance to a plethora of fun things to do and see; Pike Place Market, shopping, restaurants; it could not have been more perfect! It was a treat to stay in such a bustling, lively exciting part of this city, especially for my first visit. I really got a feel for the place. P.S. My wife and I stayed at the Mayflower Park on St Patty's weekend, which just happens to be our 17th wedding anniversary. Of course, we let them know when making the reservation and asked for an upper floor. Reservations were easy and then even honored a corporate discount for the company I work for. Nice! We got a King Suite which was well appointed and roomy considering this is a historical hotel. The bathroom was a little crapped but the room was large. Unfortunately, we were placed on the 2nd floor and not as high as I had hoped. The real reason why I wanted a higher floor was to avoid any road noise from the street below. I've stayed in downtown hotels before and the road noise would keep you awake all night. Once I was in the room I was pleasantly surprised to find that virtually no noise made it in. We were there with another couple and once we made it to our rooms and dropped our bags on the floor, we made a B line for the bar. My wife and I are on a low carb diet so we stuck with the cheese platter: huge!! Both girls had very tasty and STRONG Martinis (pink - flavor unknown)... They loved them. I recommend kick starting your night here. We caught a cab and hit the town. Too make a long story short, when I woke up in the morning I found a card addressed to my wife and I. A little confused, and thinking it was a bill of some kind, I opened it up. I was absolutely amazed at what I found. The staff had actually gotten an anniversary card for my wife and I, and personalized the text with our names and anniversary. If that wasn't enough, the staff had individually signed the card with a personal message from each. What an incredible sweet and thoughtful gesture and I will never forget it. When we checked out, I thanked them for the card and let them know how much it meant to me and my wife. I do a lot of traveling for business and have never seen a personal touch such as this. They even comped our parking charge because they weren't able to get us on a high floor. read more

Our overnight stay was great at this lovely hotel. The front desk staff were helpful, we loved the lobby especially the one on the mezzanine level...like being in our own living room. And the convenience of having a connected entryway to the mall and monorail to Space Needle! The hotel is centrally located and there are many store and malls within walking distance. It's only a 7 minute walk to Pike Place Market and about a 15 minute drive to Pier 91 which is where our cruise ship was docked. As well the rooms are lovely with comfy beds. NOTE: We reserved two rooms, one for me and hubby, the other for my mother and our son. We requested an early check in for one room so that we would have a place to rest in case mom got tired early. The room we got was smallish with a King bed and had a tiny bathroom! An "oversized" person would have a tight squeeze getting into the shower which was blocked by the sink. Another thing we noticed is that there is a small glass shelf above the sink making washing your face a bit of a challenge. I actually kept bumping the top of my forehead on the shelf. Since it was only overnight, we didn't really mind having such a small room plus the bed was very comfortable and the place was charming and cozy. We got my mother and our son's room later that day and they got a HUGE room twice the size of ours with two Queen's. Their bathroom was larger than ours as well. It was great because we had my sister and her family travelling with us and all eight of us fit pretty comfortably in this large room. Overall, we all enjoyed our overnight stay and would definitely stay here again! read more

We loved this hotel or rather our room at this hotel! I don't know if we were upgraded but the room was on the larger side, especially for a hotel in downtown. It had a separate living space, with couches and a tv and anyone with kids knows how valuable those are!!! We were on the 3rd floor and that was a little noisy, street noise as well as elevator noise. Nothing that was awful though. We tried room service and the portion sizes are huge!!! I'm having a very hard time reconciling the overwhelmingly four star reviews I'm seeing on Yelp with the decidedly two star experience I had during my recent visit to this hotel. While I believe the hotel prefers the euphemism "historic", my experience was that the hotel was getting a bit threadbare; the rug in my room was wearing thin in places, the fixtures in the bathroom, which looked to have been updated at some point in the past decade or so, weren't all working, the walls in the bathroom were starting to show scuffing and the wallpaper was separating a bit, and the furniture in my room...which DIDN'T include a desk so doing work was a notable challenge, simply felt cheap. I certainly wouldn't say that there were no pros to counter the cons listed above; the staff, save one person with whom I interacted, was lovely, the restaurant where I got my breakfast and the breakfast itself were quite nice, and the hotel's location is fabulous. At $200-$250/night, I might even have considered being a bit more generous with my rating....but I paid the very four star price of $360+ per night (all in, including taxes and fees) for this very two star experience. I plan to be visiting Seattle with some regularity in the coming few months....and I won't be staying here for any of those trips. read more

We stayed at the Mayflower for our 3rd anniversary and my birthday, it was great! Boy has the city changed! As a child of the city I've seen many places come and go or just change in weird ways, not the Mayflower, or Ollivers. Over the last 20 years Ollivers has been the same, great casually classy bar to count on for a meeting place with freinds and coworkers. All that time and I never stayed at the hotel, so glad we did! Great room, we stayed in the deluxe king room. Nice bed, clean comfortable rooms. Do you like water pressure in the shower? I do! And, boy howdy did this room have water pressure, that water comes out Like a cannon! The final comfort came after we came back to the room after dinner and found the room pasted with pictures of JP Patches, pictures I had requested while reserving my room. This team came together to make my stay a memorable one. Finally I wanted to mention the value of valet parking at the Mayflower. $35 bucks for 24 hours of parking. In Seattle that's a great deal and we went for it. They guys did a great job by not keeping us waiting and my car was stored and returned in a safe garage over block away. Overall I give the Mayflower Hotel 5 stars because it is a true crown jewel of our city and its not to be missed. (Wait what's a JP Patches?) read more

The staff is awesome, the hotel is smack dab in the middle of downtown, our room was small but very clean, and the hotel bar serves the most amazing peanuts. Love this Hotel, they believe in old school customer service. My wife and I had our wedding at the hotel with 85 guest. Andrew was awesome, he helped us plan our wedding and made sure we felt comfortable the whole time. He made our wedding night the best night to remember, even with Torch light parade going on, we got free parking. The hotel suite was clean and comfortable, you could not find a better hotel for food, drinks and entertaining, they are close to all the shopping centers and night life. my friend and i stayed here after we rolled the dice on a hotwire find. small, boutique hotel in the heart of downtown seattle. the room was small but had all essentials and was clean. housekeeping was excellent and got our rooms cleaned efficiently. this is the perfect location... it's one block from the lightrail, surrounded by the shopping district (right across from the macy's), and a couple blocks from a bunch of tom douglas' restaurants. i would definitely stay here again when i'm in seattle for its rate and location. read more

I'm giving it five stars not because it's this amazing luxury diamond level superior hotel, but because for what it is, a mid-level hotel, it is superb! Here to sight see and enjoy the city for three nights, I will be out of the hotel room all day and just need a safe clean and comfortable place to sleep. I paid only $150 a night when everything else around this hotel was $250 or more. It's perfectly located in the hotspot of Seattle and the service was terrific. read more

I arrived at this hotel with 2 other adult travelers. We originally requested 2 rooms to accomodate 3 of us. One of the rooms was supposed to have a double bed. The day before we were to fly out to Seattle, we received a call and their representative said that they were unable to get us a room with a double bed. They told us that they would be able to provide us with a wheel-in bed. We said okay. When we arrived, they told us that they CANNOT provide a wheel-in bed for either of our rooms because they are too small. They lied to us over the phone, the day before 3 GROWN ADULTS were supposed to spend 4 nights in a hotel, with two of us having to share a queen-sized bed in what was possibly the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. After spending one uncomfortable night sharing a queen-sized bed with my coworker (we are good friends, but still -- adults traveling for business SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SHARE A QUEEN-SIZED BED), we complained to the front desk. They told us that they were fully booked and that they would not be able to move us into a larger room or to comp our stay. Maybe they saw how pissed we were (or maybe they lied to us again at first but changed their mind), but they finally relinquished and let us move into a larger "deluxe" room in which we were able to get a wheel-in twin-sized bed. They did, however, charge us $20 extra per night WITHOUT TELLING US. I only found out when I arrived back home and looked at our bill. In addition to the lack of transparency in the room booking process and their poor handling of our request for a room change, the accommodations themselves weren't too impressive. The hotel is clearly "historic," which is a euphemism for OLD. The room triggered my roommate's allergies. I don't even know why we picked this hotel in the first place when there were so many other choices in the area. Never again. read more

I was here on a business trip while staying in downtown Seattle. The hotel has the NICEST staff you'll ever find. That was my favorite thing about staying here. The king room was a little small in size but the bathroom was extremely small (I had prepared myself from seeing other reviews). I will say that the bed is very comfortable. I was fortunate enough to have quiet neighboring guest, so only heard noises a couple of times. It could be a different story though as they walls are pretty thin since it's a historic hotel. I worked out in the gym. It's small with an ellyptical machine, stationary bike, free weights and a treadmill, but it got the job done. Just don't forget to turn on the stand-alone A/C machine or it is like a sauna in there. My other favorite thing about the Mayflower Park Hotel is that you can't beat its location downtown. There is an adjoining mall with a few stores and eateries (Lush, Zara, and Pressed Juicery (Freeze) were my favorites). There's also another mall with so many great stores just a few blocks down. You also have a Nordstrom's and Macy's nearby with so many other stores close to the hotel like Sephora, H&M, Tiffany's, etc. I would totally stay here again but I would most definitely upgrade to a nicer room. read more

Nice hotel really glad we ended up there. It's not the most fancy but it is nice for the age and price. I love the location, it is in the middle of everything. 10 minute walk to pike pl market, across the street from Macy's, and right next to a mall. The monorail is connected to the mall so you can hop on that and get to space needle for $2.25 or I think it was $4 round trip. 5 minute walks to many good restaurants. If you are looking to come out here and not really worried about a fancy expensive hotel you will like the mayflower. read more

This is the first time we stayed at this hotel. It is an older hotel with smaller rooms but it is very clean and actually really cute (in my girlfriends words). It's in a great location to access downtown. Has a nice upscale bar and a restaurant (which we didn't visit). There's a Buffalo Wild Wings right next door and we are beer and wings type of customers. I stayed here for a long weekend with a friend and I could not have picked a better hotel!! I love how the hotel embraces the 1920's decor and feel. I loved my room, bed was so comfortable and the room was spotless. The service was impeccable - from check in through room service to housekeeping. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and I will stay here again next time I am in town. Oliver's is the best place to hang out, have a classic cocktail and people watch from the huge windows. The concierge, Robert Mendelson, made the trip extra special by being so helpful in planning our day trips - he really seemed to care that we have the best experience while in Seattle! read more
