When the job begins and you tell him this is what we agreed to he denies he ever said that and then tries to get more money from you. Truly shyster way to do business. Now for the best deck ever (Jim's words) - at best the deck is average or below average with the workmanship not what it should be for the price. Decking not even with uneven gaps on the side, terrible cuts that should have been redone due to their error but of course they don't fix as it adds cost for them. Then leaving all trash on site not only from your job but from other jobs doing for the entire project (So much for everything including container). A suggestion for anyone thinking of using this company (big mistake IMO) would be to make sure every little detail is included in your contract to state exactly what you talked about and don't take Jim at his word as he is not reliable.

He went into this ridiculous slide deck presentation that tried to establish fear in us for thinking about going with smaller local companies. When he tried to pressure us into signing a contract on the spot and we said no, he was clearly agitated. We have had two other companies come out. Both of the other reps were here for 30 minutes, were respectful and honest. Here are the three quotes. We have a large house. Quote #1 $28,000 Quote #2 $69,000 (Long Home Quote) which was eventually lowered to $52,000 as we refused to sign the contract. Quote #3 $25,000 All of the materials were of the same grade. All insurances and warranty were the same. DO NOT TRUST LONG! **** Thank you to the customer service person that responded to my post. But that changed nothing. The rep was taught a high pressure presentation. He also seemed worried that if he didn't close the sale, he would be in trouble. He even had to call his manager during our meeting. You need to change your sales approach. Your price was twice the two other quotes for the same service and materials. I am sure the high pressure tactics end up bullying people into signing. Not us. I have been in sales management for 35 years. This is NOT the way to treat people/customers. It is dishonest and driven by greed. Remember pigs eventually get slaughtered. Change your approach as a company.
