Guys were here about an hour and were nice enough, but made a mess out of our kitchen because they didn't take their boots off or really make much of an effort to limit how much snow and salt they were tracking around. They also left all of the garbage and boxes from the appliances for me to deal with, including the pallet the oven came on. They'll take your old appliances, but leave the garbage from the new appliances? Really? I've never had a large item delivery where the person delivering/installing didn't take garbage, so this just really annoyed me. Finally, the cooktop comes with caulk so you can either caulk a gap for a flush install or close the gap between the glass and the counter if it's just sitting on top. Our cooktop sits on the counter, so asked if they could caulk it and they said no. I'm paying you for an install - THIS IS PART OF THE INSTALL. Hello? I left a 2 star review through their chat bot when prompted and they called this morning to ask about it. Learned that it's their policy to leave their garbage. Well, you should change your policy because it's terrible. The guy also told me that if I'd asked their installers had booties they could have changed into. Why is it my job to ask? Most delivery services do this automatically so I just assumed they didn't have them when they didn't change into them, especially on a day when you're very clearly going to be tracking snow and salt into a customer's home. Do yourself a favor and if you're even a little handy and comfortable connecting a few wires and putting in a couple screws do it yourself and save the money. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 is that the appliances work. For $450 this was a joke.

    I'm a firm believer in service after the sale. Initial purchase experience was good…read more But, and there's always a but, not happy with their service contracts rebates & service after the sale. The convoluted paperwork for the rebates is time consuming and idiotic. Then you find out they are not rebates but vouchers that must be used in their store. Unfortunately, the amount is so small all you can buy is nickel and dime products like cleaning products. Of course they don't have the products in stock. So they have to order them. After waiting over two months they call and say they're here and "we need you to pick them up asap" because they need the space. So lo and behold when I get there they don't have everything. But, will contact me when the rest of the stuff shows up. It has now been 6-months and they haven't contacted me. I sent two emails to Jason and he responded with "I'll check." Needless to say he didn't.

Friday 5/9/2025 I began to notice our hardwood floors feeling wavy by the washing machine. I felt the floor in areas I could reach, and it was not wet in the front. The machine is in a tight space about an inch between the wall and appliance. So, I shined a flashlight to see in the small gap between the wall and the machine and noticed it was wet in the back and the hardwoods were discolored from water. I immediately called the Greece store where we bought the washer. I told the women about the issue, and she informed me it was under warranty still so gave me the number for GE. I made a service appointment with GE and the technician came out to look at the washer 5/14. When he came out to diagnose Pat discovered indication of a leak coming from the hose. He then went onto say during install sometimes the installer cross threads the connection creating a not so tight seal allowing water to leak. As a result, this has led to significant damage to our hardwood floors. I then went to Orivlles with this new information. I supplied photos of the connection, and the floor damage. I also supplied the technician note from Pat who came out which says...WORK PERFORMED EXPLAIN OPERATION FILL HOSE IMPROPERLY INSTALLED PROBLEM DESC DEFECTIVE FILL HOSE (HOT) . Brian from Orville's calls me this morning and says to use my home insurance. Well its not covered by home insurance because it was due to improper installation which cross threaded the hose making it defective and creating a major leak which had been going on slowly over time due to poor install. I WOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT WHO YOU PURCHASE FROM AND SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND STRESS IN THE LONG RUN! NOW WE ARE OUT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS DUE TO FAULTLY INSTALL FROM ORVILLES. Show less

I had an entire kitchen quoted and ended up only pulling the trigger on just an oven. I'm now very glad I didn't buy the rest from them. First, we discussed in the showroom about the struggle of delivery we had in the past, so I know for a fact we discussed delivery terms with the sales women. Fast forward to today our oven gets delivered at 7am (were told between 8 and 10) and the guy says he doesn't go inside houses. How exactly are you supposed to offer delivery and not go in the house? He ends up dropping it at our back step outside and its supposed to rain today. So now we both have to take time off work and struggle moving this oven by ourselves before it downpours. We called and got forwarded to about 5 different people, only to be told there's nothing they could do. I brought up the fact that this is definitely something we discussed at our appointment to which I was dismissed and told "that's just their policy". I find that asinine, god for bid they had an elderly customer... How does a company selling appliances have that type of policy? With an upcoming remodel, they lost out on a good opportunity. I will never buy from them again, and I would NOT recommend them to anyone.

Her washer and dryer were not working in her apartment. She went to use my dryer and it didn't work. It just made a humming noise and so I thought it was the belt. I called Discount Appliance World in Geneva, New York, and a nice lady named Judy said that she would wait for me to come and pick up the parts if we needed them as she was going to close in 15 minutes. She also told me that if anything we had bought from her wasnt needed, she would take it back as long as we didn't open the packages. Well, after fiddling with the dryer while my daughter had the whole thing apart, it worked! Didn't need the parts after all. So she took the parts back today and Judy took them back, issued a check and said she almost called us yesterday to see if everything was okay with the dryer. Now, THAT is customer service. And that was after she had told me to call the store number any time over Christmas if we needed to ask questions or needed something else. Even CHRISTMAS DAY! I had bought the dryer from them a couple of years ago with hesitation because I could have gotten the same dryer at Lowe's for $50 less. But they offered same day delivery and take out my old dryer. That already was worth the extra. But the fact that the money helped a local business out and THEN went above and beyond for my family cinched my five star rating for a local business. AMAZING!
