    Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir

Galentine's dinner was very pleasant, enjoying the ambiance of Maynard's!! A very nice restaurant in Silverdale, serving fine dining. The staff was very pleasant and attentive, from the moment we arrived. Since it was Valentine's night, they had a special dinner menu that had great options. With a fully stocked bar, I selected a delicious red Cabernet Sauvignon that was amazing!! The only reason I'm giving it 3.5 stars is that the food was lukewarm in temperature. Our side dishes were almost cold by the time we got them. I'm assuming because it was an expected busy day, but I wish it was at least good to enjoy while warm. Otherwise, a great restaurant if you're going to celebrate a special occasion. Very large dining area, fully stocked bar and an open kitchen concept which made the experience very fun!! Definitely would go back to Maynard's on a regular day to dine!!

    Appetizer: Beef Diablo. Perfectly spicy.

We went for our anniversary dinner and this place never disappoints! From the appetizers to dessert and my dirty martini, I wanted more! Service is always fast and friendly. The owner stopped by our table and said hi which is always a nice touch. The restaurant is beautiful with an open kitchen but you can't beat the view! Whether your looking for a special occasion or a nightly meal you should check them out. Is it worth the drive?...yes!

Came for the early bird special... stayed because our taste buds and eyeballs refused to leave. We wandered in on a whim for their 3-course early bird deal and honestly? Best impulsive decision we've made since that "just one more pet" situation. The place is absolutely beautiful -- warm lighting, elegant decor, the kind of vibe that makes you want to pretend you know things about wine. Started strong with a blood orange drop that was so good I had another -- for hydration, obviously. Partner grabbed a beer and we settled in for what turned out to be a seriously delicious ride. For starters: the smoked beet salad with whipped goat cheese was smoky, tangy, and silky all at once (who knew beets could be sexy?). The Caesar salad? Classic and crisp -- no notes. Then came the New York steak, cooked to absolute perfection with a side of roasted veggies and garlic mashed potatoes that were so creamy and garlicky I briefly considered proposing to them. And now... dessert. A white chocolate mousse and flourless chocolate cake duo that made us question every past dessert decision. If licking plates in public were socially acceptable, we'd have done it proudly. The only downside? The service was sloooow. Like, "did they forget we exist?" slow -- which was surprising with just five tables in the place. But honestly, the food and ambiance were so good we just leaned into it and called it leisurely fine dining.

Outstanding dish..This was the salmon with pomegranate glaze and roasted pears with a dirty martini.. Because my wife is classy!!

Now this is what I like, from the food to staff, this place has it all, even the bathrooms are nice. once you walk in, your greeted immediately to the left with an open kitchen where you can see everything being prepared and cooked. That's outstanding, but how does the food look? How does the food taste? I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. I had high expectations and they were met and exceeded. The prices for what you get are fair and comparable for the area if not a little below value, I was very impressed with the plating and even more impressed with the way the food tasted. Oh I almost forgot the views from this place are great!! Perfect for a date night.. and they have a huge parking lot plus an overflow lot.. I almost forgot to mention their huge deck out back, wow!!

We are new to the area and Maynard's might be our go to spot! We came in for the early bird special. There was ample parking and the atmosphere inside was classy. We ordered the coconut mule cocktail and it was delicious! The balance of the ginger beer with the coconut cream was fabulous. All of our courses were also great and our server was perfect. She anticipated our needs and made conversation. 10/10!

    Gnocchi

Dining on my own, I was seated by the fireplace, which was awesome! I ordered the gnocchi appetizer for my dinner, since I didn't want leftovers. It was the perfect amount! Delicious and very rich. It also gave me room for dessert, the bourbon bread pudding, also very tasty! Thanks to Shannon's suggestions, dinner was a hit!

The Smoked Beet appetizer is a must have! Absolutely brilliant, stunning dish!

Maynard's has always been our go-to date night, nice dinner, celebration meal restaurant ever since they opened. We've always been greeted warmly when we enter and generally sat within a very short period of time if not immediately. Service is always very professional, attentive and knowledgeable which is rare in our county so very much appreciated! On most nights, the owner and chef can be seen chatting with customers, working in the kitchen or expediting orders, it's reassuring to see him still so involved. As for the food, I can't remember ever going and not getting the smoked beet appetizer, it's out of this world and I've never had it anywhere but here! Hubby is pretty loyal to the tomahawk while I venture around the menu and get anything from a pizza to the special and everything in between! It's a beautiful restaurant with stunning views, especially during sunset, and outdoor seating for our short summer evenings! The reviews on this place are all over the place but I have to say, we've never had a bad meal or a bad experience including our visit last week!

    Lunch menu

I don't understand why this place has 3.something stars. It has a great menu, great food, great Happy Hour, great patio... You get where I going with this right? This place is great...

    Cod & Chips

Food was fantastic (Cod & Chips), service was perfect, and the atmosphere was clean, calm and airy. The pizza tasted like pizza in Italy. The service for children reminded me of how places were in the 90s.

Our 1st dinner at Maynard's was 4 years ago, on our 1st date. My date at the time, had to politely spit the anchovies out into her napkin as they were unexpected and not pleasant. Overall we weren't impressed. After 4 years, we decided to celebrate and give Maynard's another chance. I ordered the prime rib dip sandwich. It was good, but there was a lot of bun and a bit lacking on the prime rib. The fries were good. My now fiancé ordered the Capricciosa Pizza. After one bite, it was apparent that the combination of flavors were not complimentary. The mushrooms added an odd beef fatty flavor to the entire pizza, offset by the Kalamata olives. Her exact question to me was, "do they taste this before they put it on the menu?" I tried a bite of the pizza and thought that it tasted old and unfresh. Service was great. Like any "nice" restaurant, drinks are overpriced.

Chef Maynard himself is very friendly and involved in the everyday things around the restaurant. It is clear he takes pride in and loves his restaurant. He makes us feel welcome from the first and every time we have been here. Their cod n chips are our new favorite in Kitsap county (and anywhere else really). We also think they have the best burgers. And the best traditional chicken wings (I am a Tracyton PH addict). I normally dont like ginger but I love their ginger kissed wings. Try their cinnamon rolls which are better than Cinnabon's (which we don't have around here so I can name drop them). The interior has vaulted ceilings, is comfortably lit, and is utilized very nicely. The decorations are classy and not overbearing or gaudy. The landscaping is very modest, clean, and has a very nice view of both nature and Silverdale. Maynards loves their guests as they do lots of extracurricular events like free movie nights on the lawn, cooking classes, and parking lot car shows.

Fried chicken dinner and the road to Maui pizza.

I like this place. We had dinner with friends on the patio on a sunny Friday evening and it was great! We were able to bring our dog and there were a couple of other well behaved dogs out there too. I'm a non-drinker so I always appreciate a few mocktail choices. I had pizza, the road to Maui. My boyfriend had the fried chicken. We both liked what we ordered. Our server was great too! The outdoor area is big and has a great water view. There was a 40th birthday party outside too but the area is so big that it wasn't an issue. I'd recommend, especially if you're looking for a dog-friendly option.

Yes! There's a new special every day. Yesterday's was a bacon candied pecan salad with buratta cheese.

Excellent food and wonderful service! Love the morning…read moremuffins and quiche and scratch made breads!

Lost a 20 year loyal customer. I never leave reviews and it's a long one, but please stick with me…read moreas what I have to say comes after thoughtful consideration as a long time patron. I've been coming here since my son was born 20 years ago - when it was 'Monica's Bakery' - and it's always been stellar. Best tuna sandwich I've ever had. As my daughter grew up she loved the egg salad sandwich, and the whole family were big fans of the delicious cookies. The quiche was also fantastic. Everything WAS positively cravable. I'm so sad to report now that the new ownership of 'Old Town Kitchen' has officially taken over it's gone way down hill. No longer will you receive fresh-baked pillowy bread for your "sammy" nor can you purchase a delicious loaf of that same bread to take home. No longer will you find the exceptional baked goods you're accustomed to. There's no longer choice as to what's in your sandwich, no more "build your own", they're now only "pre-built". The bread looks impressive but is udderly underwhelming. Dry as a bone and unpleasant. IT'S A TOTAL DEAL BREAKER. There's now largely more bread than filling where the opposite used to be the rule. I actually felt the need to remove half of the bread in order for it to be edible. Had the bread been soft & fresh that would've been unnecessary. The filling recipes have changed too. The tuna filling was previously perfection and now it's very...meh. Also while I'm not averse to onions, I didn't need them or want them in my filling. No more are the tasty pickles that elevated the already amazing sandwiches. Now it's a bag of chips or a tiny, and I mean miniscule, side of cold pasta salad. It's like 3 bites worth. Also sadly very lackluster in flavor and texture. The cookies and baked goods were all just generic looking frosted things and none seemed unique or even particularly appealing. While change is inevitable, the hope for a beloved locale such as this would be at the least, the constant of quality. The new ownership has not only changed the name but sucked out the heart & soul of the place. Remodeling a building cannot compensate for food devoid of quality and great flavors. There's no 'cravability' here. We are so very disappointed that after loving a local business for 20 years it's been gutted. There nothing here worth returning for, therefore we will not be returning. I definitely cannot recommend The 'OTK' to anyone, least of all the local loyals who have come to rely on this establishment for consistent quality because sadly it no longer exists. What a shame :(
