I went to MB Auto without an appointment and the staff took my Wrangler into the garage and spent an hour doing a complete search of the engine which found the mouse and it's nest. Wow ... I have never given a 5 before but this place deserves that and more. I had my whole family heading for a family vacation and after driving for 5 hours we pull up to a gas station and our truck would not start. My husband was able to get it on and we started calling to locate the part. We finally found the part and asked for a good mechanic. This family owned business was highly recommended and really made us feel at home. They even allowed for our dog to wait with us in the cool waiting room. We are back on the road again and the price was reasonable. We thought since it was an emergency they would see a need and charge us more but NOPE. Very honest and knowledgeable people. Came in for an oil and transmission service for my car about 2 weeks ago. Was greeted by who I believe was the owner (nice guy we talked sports). Was told it would take some time, he offered me a ride home, but I like to stay while my car is worked on, I have trust issues when it comes to my car. The waiting area is way better than anything I've been to, TVs and sofas. Got my car back and everything has been great since. If you have a distrust of dealerships, like me, you need to come here. People are nice, area is clean, and THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! This is the only place I trust to take care of my baby. read more

Good service BUT I've only been here twice. Each time they quote me a price, then when I go to pay they command a number almost twice as high. No tax is 50% and no service fee merits that kind of price jump. Going here was a mistake and I won't make it again. read more

Went over to MB Auto Center this morning because I had a nail in my tire. Both guy's that worked there were very nice and professional. They told me they can put a plug in the tire and put air in all the tires to 36. Had a great experience and highly recommend this place. read more

I decided to give them another shot. When I brought my diesel truck to them, they were slightly higher than the dealer which I couldn't understand but I figured, maybe because it's a diesel. Yesterday, I brought my wife's SUV. The cost was a little more than double what the dealer charged for an oil change. They're probably great people but I don't think I can do it anymore. read more

I came in for a leak in my steering wheel, and these guys went above and beyond to help me. They worked on my car for close to one hour, after closing time, and only charged me $63. Amazing!!! to say the least. Will definitely recommend them. read more

I went in to have my radiator chexkes bec it was leaking. They said there was a $40 diagnostic fee to see what was wring with the radiator. The mechanic openes the hood and said "yup there's a leak and need to replace the whole thing". He didnt even turn the engine on. I paid the $40 and He quoted me a high price but said I can just buy the parts amd just charged me for labor. Later that week I went to another shop that they charged me for the diagnostic but he turned the engine on, did a pressure test and test drove the car. Needless to say I had my car fixed there and not MB. My thing is if you want to charge me $40 for diagnostic fine but at least attempt to do a diagnostic. Mechanic said I had a leak. Man I already knew that. read more

I just took in my Class C for service at MB Auto Center in Castaic. The service bay was large enough for our 30 foot motorhome. Byron, the owner, and his crew did an excellent job changing the oil (synthetic) the rear differential fluid, air filter, and changing the Onan generator oil. It is a family business and we met the family too! This is a full service automobile service facility located across from the Castaic RV Park and one block away from the freeway. Prices were very reasonable and I like to support local businesses. We were in and out in one hour. read more

I live very close to this shop, and my regular mechanic is on the other side of town, so one day I decided to try them out, based on the few (but positive) reviews they had. I had them do an oil change and everything seemed to go fine. While I was there, I asked them to check out this noise that was coming from my front end. They checked and said they couldn't find anything, and not to worry about it. A few weeks later the noise was getting worse, so I took it to my regular mechanic across town (a fantastic guy) and they were able to find the problem - $1300 in front end work that would have gotten more expensive the longer I let it go. Ok, no one is perfect. Maybe it was a rare miss by MB Auto. But then today, I go back to my regular mechanic for an oil change, and it turns out that MB Auto left me with a jerry-rigged dipstick when they last changed my oil. The top part of the dipstick was missing, and in its place was a piece of rag, held onto the stick with a zip-tie! I don't know if they broke my dipstick when they worked on the car, or if they lost it and replaced it with this or what, but they should have just told me. The issue is that now there's no way to tell what the true oil level is in my car, because the dipstick doesn't extend into the engine the way it's supposed to. Meaning, now I have to go find a new dipstick! This kind of shady incompetence is truly appalling. You can bring your car here if you like, but I think you're taking a big risk! read more
