Terrible experience. Purchased a 2017 Dodge Ram. Worked with Pete. Was assured it was 'the best truck on the lot.' They didn't budge on the price a dime and strongly recommended the full aftermarket warranty which I paid. Drove it away realizing it had no fuel and in need of an oil change. 100 miles down the road a check engine light came on. Took it to a mechanic who said it needed an entire exhaust system. Took it to another mechanic and they not only confirmed it needed a new exhaust, it also needed a fuel filter and an air filter. And the exhaust system was NOT covered under the expensive warranty I was sold. Total repair estimate: $5,400. Auto rep said they couldn't believe MB motors sold me the truck in that condition. Clearly they had done NO vehicle inspection prior to sale. Called Pete at MB Motors, he claimed an exhaust is like a timing belt, it's 'one of those things you have to replace periodically.' Total BS. He suggested I price shop and then call him back. I did, found another mechanic willing to do it for $3k. Called Pete. He wasn't there, and didn't return the call. Called again, same response. Another rep promised to tell his supervisor. Nothing. Wrote an email to the company explaining the whole situation and asking for a call back. Nothing. Several weeks later now I've paid out the $3k on my new car with a bogus warranty and still have not heard anything from anyone from MB Motors. Do not buy from MB Motors. Total scam. read more

I drove up from Redmond to Bellingham to speak to Emil about a specific car he had on the lot. I texted him a few days ahead to confirm the car was available and then the day before to confirm that it wouldn't be a problem to have the car inspected by an independent mechanic prior to purchase. After the 1.5 hour drive I arrived and found Emil to be working with another party. No problem, I waited and browsed the cars on the lot - looking for the specific car I was interested in. While wandering another customer saw me looking at a Range Rover he had been interested. He paused to let em know that car had been previously wrecked and not disclosed by MB Motors. After about 15 min another salesman (named George) asked if I needed help. I told him about Emil indicating the car would be available. George seemed surprised and apologetic - the car was not on the lot. I asked where it was George said he could have it back on the lot in 15 min. I agreed. While continuing to look at the cars on the lot I spotted a lot of cars in dodgey condition. Peeling plasti-dipped wheels, poorly re-painted bumpers, the like. In fact, another customer pulled up in a BMW 6-series and began to loudly complain after the purchase numerous dashlights began illuminating (check engine, tire pressure, ect). All in all, this is a lot that buys wrecked and abused luxury cars from Canada, imports them, puts lipstick on a pig and marks them up to unsuspecting buyers. Grab a coffee, this will be fun. Tl;Dr: Don't buy a car here unless you drive it first, and take it to a trusted mechanic. Zoom in on their pics. Not even kidding. So I bought a 2016 Jaguar XJR in July 2021 for $54,000 plus $1500 shipping from Washington to Illinois. The online pics (attached) did not clearly reveal numerous issues with the car, nor, surprisingly, did the salesperson. When it arrived, I took it to the car wash, where a piece of the windshield cowl flew off and it had a conniption of proximity alerts. It was missing pieces of trim, there was broken glass in the trunk and the rear cameras were sunken in and malfunctioning. Some of the body panels were loose, and the rear door seals were detached, leaking and deteriorated beyond repair. There was glass embedded in the rear seats, and the front and rear window moldings didn't line up correctly. All of this was clearly indicative of an accident, though the vehicle report came up clean, which took me all of 10 minutes to deduce, and none of which came up in a few hours of conversation with the salesperson. But by far the most egregious issue was the exhaust. There wasn't one. The muffler and catalytic converters had been deleted, replaced with straight pipes from the manifolds to the tips. It was so loud it could literally be heard from half a mile away (no joke, my wife and I measured while talking on the phone and using geo-location; she could hear the car from 0.62 mi away at 1500 rpm.) The sales person described the exhaust over the phone as "really turns heads!" A better description would have been "may cause bleeding from the ears" or "will frighten tow trucks". So I got quotes and estimates from my local trusted mechanics and body shops; the cost for replacing and repairing just the exhaust came out to over $8,000. When I notified the sales person, I was told the sales manager, George, was on vacation for a week. That turned into two weeks, which eventually turned into two months, and a million voice mails and emails. All my claims were "declined by the team". No real explanation as to why, just that the pics of the car were accurate and the salesperson couldn't have known the exhaust was modified, as he is not a mechanic. "Did he not hear it????" "Uh. I couldn't say. I don't know." "How could you not? It wakes dead people." George eventually offered to buy the car back (which took 10 more days, a million emails, voice mails, ad nauseum) and finally their offer was $40K buy back or $45k store credit. I would lose either $14,000 or $9,000 respectively. When I asked if he would accept that deal if he were me, he just sat quiet on the phone. Stymied. By this point I had already made my first payment and the car was just sitting in the driveway (quietly at least), so I countered by offering not to ask for reimbursement of the cosmetic issues, just cover the items required by law, namely the Krakatoa exhaust (loudest recorded sound in human history, 172db, circled the globe four times; you're welcome). George felt the quote I got was too high and he could do better, which was fine, get a donor car and ship me the parts for all I care I just want to drive it. Please, man. But of course his 2-3 day promise for a resolution turned into two weeks, so I just went out and paid for the repairs myself. I sent them an invoice for $3500, half the original quote, but they just stopped replying. I didn't even bother to invoice them for the trim, cameras and molding, another $6k. I feel foolish and scammed, but the exhaust sounds great now at least. Sticker price: $48,999. Total out-of-pocket: $64,800 Don't buy here. Do not trust these guys if you are having them ship your car!! They do not care about customer cars they just car about the sale. I bought a car from this big dealership about a month ago, could not make it out so i had the sales guy facetime me and over facetime i told him show me all scratches and anything wrong with the car. He proceeded to walk around the car showed no scratches and said car has been serviced by our "fine mechanics". had the car shipped a few weeks later. I take it to the car wash and then i realized what they gave me. Im not even going to talk about the scratches, ill ignore that. Lets talk mechanically first, im driving it a day later my wheel get covered in brake dust and i hear nasty squeak noise at my breaks. I open the hood theres zero i mean zero brake fluid. Thankfully i had some to top it off. I open the trunk theres no spare on this 1 owner 40,000 mile car they didnt tell me that! Another thing, its a nice hot say turn my ac on and its blowing hot air, ok so i refill it just to find out theres a ac leak! Engine bay was covered in trash looked like rats have been living in it once it got here. Nice to know how they prepare their cars for customers. And it scares me to see what kind of mechanics they are employing that dont check ac, fluids, and keeping cars detailed. read more

Garbage dealership. looks fancy on the outside with nice cars but unprofessional and all the cars and shi**y canadian cars with issues. bought a Cadillac Ats from them with low miles and took it to cadillac Bellevue less then a week of having it and the inspection came back with a million things wrong and the car not even being drivable because the rear end could sh** itself. How does MB Motors make it up to me you might ask? by not answering the phones after waiting several days and leaving voicemails with several employees. read more

I bought a truck online from Emil Vinberg at MB Motors. I was told all was good with the truck. When I asked about the tires Emil quickly said they are about half tread life. After making the trip from Alaska on April 8th to pick up the truck I headed to Seattle to barge the vehicle home. I noticed lots of road noise on the trip to Seattle so when I pulled over to check only then did I notice rear tires were studded and the front were practically bald. This was on April 8th. Way past the date required for Washington residents to remove studded tires. I was sold a vehicle which was illegal to even be on the highways at this date. I emailed Emil on April 9th regarding the issue with the tires. I didn't hear back and was able to reach him on April 14th. He said he didn't have time to read the email and forwarded it to George since it's his job to deal with post sale problems. George contacted me and we talked about the tires. He agreed that the truck shouldn't have been sold with the tires on it and agreed to get me new tires. He said I could check local tire shops and we would get the tires replaced. When I called George from the tire shop he said they were too expensive and he would ship tires to me. Ok, fine. Sounded good to me. When the truck arrived in Alaska it was also past the date for studs to be removed so once again still illegal to drive truck on the highway. After several weeks of looking at the truck in the driveway that I couldn't even drive the tires arrived. Once again, I thought ok. Finally. But George sent the cheapest tires he could find and the max pressure for these tires is 44 psi. Ford requires 55 for the front and 60 psi for the rear. Now I've got tires that don't meet Ford safety specificationand the TPMS shows low pressure due to not meeting the required PSI specs. I've tried so many times to reach George to rectify this problem but he has ghosted me. He even went as far to hang up on me once I was actually able to reach him. I talked to Emil but they are just oh so busy to deal with me. I tried hard to get the issue resolved but they just hide behind the phone. If I was in Bellingham at least I could go to the dealership and talk to them but I'm not. As of today no contact, no tires that meet Ford safety standards and just poor customer service. read more

George, I believe the owner, was more than communicative during the entire process. He wasn't pushy, he disclosed everything he knew about the car, and the selection was top notch. Our family was looking for a second car and I kept coming back to the cars here at MB Motors. I'm in Seattle, so I was really trying to avoid heading all the way up to Bellingham. However, the cars George and his crew bring it are different. They have better options, better looks, and he seems to pick some really nice examples to sell. I looked for almost a month and kept coming back to his selection. He kept in touch, via text and email, the entire time I was searching. I missed out on three cars I had my eye on and finally jumped on a gorgeous 7 series. We ironed out all the details ahead of time, which was easy because he had the lowest prices in the state. We arrived in the morning, took a long, unaccompanied test drive, and were back in the dealership to sign and leave. Without counting the test drive, I believe I was at the dealership for less than an hour. And that was with a 10 minute wait or so for them to make sure the remote had a fresh battery. They honestly had to go to the parts store to ensure they had the proper fitment. Fast forward a few days and something unexpected popped up. Now, I'm sure George could have stuck by the "as-is/no warranty" and I'd likely have little to no recourse. However, George was understanding and worked with me to come to a great solution. He really did do more than he had to. I don't have any needs on the horizon, but this is for sure going to be my first stop next time I need a car. With the service, selection, and treatment, I don't see a need to work with anybody else. I was really surprised it worked out this well. read more

We stopped by MB Motors in Bellingham last week looking for a new car. There was nowhere on the lot for us to park so we had to park at the near-by chiropractor. After walking around the lot for some time and not being greeted by any sales representative, we were ready to leave. The on-site photographer caught us on our way out and was able to answer most of our questions and directed us inside to speak with the Sales Manager about any cars we are interested in. They have a great selection and a beautiful building but not being able to park and not being greeted by anyone besides the photographer makes it difficult to purchase a vehicle here. read more

A nightmare of customer service and follow through...it is easy to walk through the door and be greeted with such excitement but when you make that purchase it all goes out the door!!! I purchased my vehicle from Emil and George who processed my warranty paperwork incorrectly right out the door. They said at anytime if I need service "warranty" work done that they would assist with the whole process. WRONG! After 2 months of my vehicle being in service....no contact or communication from George when he promised he would call and inform me of the status...Don't count on it! I have my vehicle back and still no word from George to follow up and make sure the issues were resolved, which no they are not resolved. Funny story though we talked to one of their Ex-employees who then informed us that George didn't even know what he was purchasing when he original bought the vehicle for his dealership. People need to know that this company has bad customer service and they file paperwork incorrectly when purchasing a vehicle from them. They also need to know that they lack actual knowledge about vehicles...anyone can sale something. I would never recommend this company to anyone and if I could have filed a civil case against them I would have. read more
