I dropped in to this nail salon on a Saturday to get dip powder removed from my nails. I did not have an appointment but was quickly accommodated, even though the salon was quite busy. I really appreciate that this salon makes an effort to accommodate walk-ins, even for small, less expensive services. The dip powder removal was $10, and the nail technician did a great job. I went to get a pedicure last night around 6:30pm, and pedicures are a big deal for me seeing as though I have a baby at home and rarely get to treat myself! (Hence why I am just now writing this review) I chose a white color for my pedicure, and after two coats, it seemed streaky, so I asked the nail technician to add one more coat to my nails. To make a long story short: she put one extra coat on ONE TOE! Then proceeded to rush me out of the chair, before my toes were even dry! I came to MB because they have a collection of over 400 powders for dip nails. This is my first time trying it so I wanted options. My nails came out gorgeous and the technician was super nice. I work in MB on Saturdays and needed a mani/pedi before heading out of town for the holiday weekend. Read the reviews, called the salon and they got me in right away. They were so helpful, had great magazines, and even worked with me when the gel mani was not the perfect shade that I wanted. I am actually sitting in the chair as I write this review. The atmosphere is nice and the place is clean. However, I made an appointment on Monday to get a full set and a pedicure. I show the lady a picture of what I wanted (an ombré) and their response... "you didn't tell us that's what you wanted over the phone and there is no one here that can do it..." WTF? I have an event to go to today so now I'm scrambling to find a place that can do my my full set the way I want. I would have just walked out but they were already working on my pedicure. read more

I've finally found a "nail home". I've been coming to this nail spa for about a year, and LOVE THEM. Most of the staff are really friendly, and always make me feel so appreciated as a client and I feel that what matters the most. Especially if you try to make a habit of maintaining a flawless mani/pedi set which can be a pricey expense. Special shout out to Sunny, she always makes me smile. Just a friendly reminder, IF you have some where to be, or don't have a lot of time I suggest making an appointment and coming EARLIER to be sat and taken care of in a decent time. I was able to make a last minute appointment for a facial and gel nail manicure. The facial went well. This is not a luxury spa so you won't change into an Egyptian Cotton terry cloth robe. However, the aesthetician did do a good job with the extractions and the massage was great. So when you go wear something sleeveless so she can do a shoulder/neck massage. The manicure was good. UPDATE Review I went in to see Tran my fabulous nail tech and she apologized for my previous bad experience at their establishment. I really appreciated that tran took the time to apologize and make sure I was happy. Well that in itself made up for my previous bad experience. My suggestion is to see Tran, two, sunny and Nancy for excellent service. For my manicure and gel I'm hooked on Tran she is super detailed and meticulous! So thank you MB nails for the apology! Unfortunately I was unable to get her the last two times and what a horrible experience. I always pay for the most expensive mani and pedi plus a gel as a treat for myself. I got Rachael who did my nails and another lady who comes in to help once in a while. I have allergies and while I was getting my nails done I repeatedly asked Rachael for water she said wait and I knew that if I didn't get water my cough would become worse. Finally after she could tell I was in pain she gave me water and then Had the nerve to ask me to wear a mask. I was so embarrassed and I explained to her I'm not sick I have allergies!!! I felt like telling her because ur lazy butt wouldn't get me water when I asked repeatedly. The service has gotten worse and everything is always rushed now. I will still see Tran and of it wasn't for her I would've given this a one star instead. Hopefully the owner reads this and at least apologizes but I highly doubt that given the other real reviews that have gone unacknowledged. Pros: Clean salon, gel lasts 2+ weeks. Cons: Even with an appointment I feel like I'm always waiting to get serviced. Wouldn't come here for a pedicure as the basic pedicure is VERY bare bones and doesn't take more than 15 minutes, start to finish. Update - I needed a pedicure and decided to give them another go, this time I decided to upgrade the service and it was SO worth it. I recommend you do the same! read more

Everyone here is really nice and sweet. The only thing I find ridiculous is the price for gel. It's $18 EACH for mani/pedi. When gel came out it's was like $5 extra and now to charge $18 seems extremely high. If you just want a regular mani/pedi this is a good place to go. read more

I missed my favorite nail shop and all ladies here after being closed for a few months due to Covid 19. I am glad to see that they are back and safely reopen. I love all the safety protocols the MB nails is taking to keep everyone safe during this time. Completely set up for safety guidelines: call to check in , mask required for both technicians and customers, checking temperatures, plexiglass at spa chairs and tables, sanitizing between each customer, and limiting the numbers of ppl inside. My favorite nail salon in LA! I travel a lot and have started getting my nails done using the dipping powder after some really painful experiences with gel. The ladies at MB nails are super sweet, were gentle on my nails, and my manicure with dipping powder and pedicure with gel (both French tips) stayed absolutely PERFECT until it was time for a refill 3 weeks later. I've been going here for a while. This last time I went I was disappointed. Made an appointment for pedicure & dip manicure. Pedicure was great; but nobody bothered to start the soaking process to remove my previous dip manicure until my toes were done. By the time they stated my hands, I had been there for over an hour and could not stay another hour for them to do my dip manicure so I opted for them to just clean my cuticles and trim my nails, no polish. Half way through, the manager who was doing my manicure switched with another tech without saying a word. the tech was really forceful which I hadn't experienced with anyone else there so that threw me off. Then they proceed to charge me full price for the manicure when I didn't even have my nails painted due to them running behind. There were other people who came in after me and got their mani and pedi done at the same time. I had an appointment so I'm not sure why I didn't receive the same service, but I don't think I'll be returning after this last visit. Felt they catered more to the caucasian ladies, i tipped 3 workers $5 each then and only then were they extremely gracious...Too bad, NEVER coming back. The most upsetting part was they kicked me off the chair right after the last coat, i asked for a fan, they sat me next to the door for the breeze, im assuming. After 15mins NO ONE came to check on me, i asked a random worker if she can gently test one nail, she said i should be fine. 2 secs later as i try to pay, all nail the polish was smudged. read more

The manicurist did a nice job, but forgot to to the nail oil and lotion/hand massage. I then had to wait 15 min for my pedicure. When I left they asked if I had a loyalty card, I said no, they then proceeded to hunt for one only to say they must have run out. I used to drive all the way to Long Beach to get my gel manicures - until this spot opened! Excellent service, professional, very clean, and a generous selection of colors. I've been here at least 10 times now, and have been satisfied every time. I've had about 3 or 4 different nail techs work on me - everyone is friendly, professional, and pay attention to detail when servicing you. I'm terribly picky about my gel manicures, but I do get irritated when you get nail techs that don't shape your nails correctly, or don't fix those bubbles that form under the gel polish. That never happens here! A++! Very sweet too - they really try to get to know their customers by a first-name basis. I tried a mani/pedi for the first time tonight. As a man, I was unsure of what to expect, only hearing that if NBA players get mani/pedis, I should be open minded and give it a shot. I just left the salon and had the best hour of my life. Susie and Mai were so friendly and kind and made me feel very comfortable. More importantly, they did incredible work on my hands and feet. I actually love this place! Tina did a wonderful job on my gel manicure! It was so pretty, and lasted a very long time. On a different occasion another gal gave me a great pedicure. The reason for only 4 stars tho, and why I may not go again is because: 1. They don't take American Express, and 2. They are now charging $1 to use the credit cards they do take. Now I know $1 is negligible to some, but it is the principal of the thing I object to. They are new, clean and very personable, so maybe I will return, but maybe not too. read more

The BEST experience I have ever had at a nail salon. The cleanliness, quality of work, and quality of service was amazing and exactly what I have been searching for! The staff is very friendly, genuine, and seem happy to be there. I am especially happy with their kindness and service with my mom. My mom had recently had surgery and also has low vision and they were patient, helped her get settled, and truly just fantastic. It was great to see my mom have such a good time and relax! We did not feel rushed at all. I live in Santa Barbara and come down to visit and this is definitely going to be our go to spot for some R&R! No place better in my opinion. read more
