So much fun! We called ahead and they said the wait was over 2 1/2 hours and they didn't take reservations. This had happened maybe a few months before and I was told the same thing so that time we decided to go bowling instead. We were almost turned off again this time but decided to go anyways. We decided we would go, get on the list and just hang out meanwhile maybe watch a movie or something in the car while waiting. Much to our surprise the wait was only about 45 min! Cool go carting spot. Beside go karts they also have a laser tag section and another arcade section, but we were here for the karting. First time at this location and cant complain. Although it is pricy but thats everywhere its a fair price for karting. We went on the weekend which is a bit pricier I guess monday thru Thursday they have a 2 race deal for $30 per person. Our races consisted of 14 laps which was around 10 minutes of karting. I think overall its a good spot. Definitely fun. Will be returning. read more

When we went to talk to the manager, he told us to talk to the cashier cause there was nothing he could do? I've taken my son to MB2 Raceway twice in the past month. The first time was decent, but the most recent was terrible which why i game them 2 stars overall. Let's start with the PROS: - Overall the track layout is quite good. It's a large track by indoor karting standards. The building is very large and there are plenty of other activities there such as laser tag and a large assortment of arcade games. - Cheaper: Compared to other indoor karting places, MB2 is about $5 per race cheaper. Now the CONS: - Information: Their website asks you to call if you have questions that aren't covered online. I've tried calling them about a dozen times but never had anybody pick up the phone. The system sends you in a circle with phone extension options. Reading the other reviews here, this seems to be the typical complaint as well. - Staff: The staff here are either overworked or just don't care. Just not a friendly staff overall. - Cellular Signal: For all the electronics in the building, there is no cellular reception in the building, which is understandable, but there isn't a customer wifi either. So if you're meeting friends or trying to organized a group of friends and need to text or speak to each other on the phone, forget it. - Timing: The most recent time we were there, it was raining hard and the timing board went offline. See picture. But the staff didn't seem to care and just went about their business. - Ambient Noise: It's a large open space so there's a lot of noise coming from the karts and arcade. But they have their PA system turned really low so you can't hear the announcements for your group. I had to keep bothering the poor guy working the pits. But so did everybody else. They need to turn up the PA. - Slow Jr Karts: If your kid has some experience, he/she will be disappointed with these junior karts. They're really slow. The K1 junior karts are significantly faster. - Sanitation/Hygiene: I never once saw them sanitize the helmets after each use. I watched as child after child put their helmets back on the same rack, and another child picked up that exact same helmet and put it on their head. There was nobody there to regulate where used helmets went, and certainly nobody sanitizing the helmets. - Interruptions: All the course workers hang out in the staging area. With such a large circuit, each time a child spun out or stalled, they would stop everything and run to the child across the building. This happened repeatedly so the kids never got more than 1 race lap at a time. A better plan is to have some of the staff hang out on the far ends of the track so they can respond faster and reduce the caution or stopped periods. - Neglected Arcade: Many of the arcade games are out of service and there seems to be little or no effort in fixing them. See pictures of one such example. If you live in Santa Clarita or Sylmar, MB2 is located nearby. But if you're coming from Los Angeles, the Valley, or West Side, it's a long trek for such a disappointment. Don't waste your time there, because there are many better indoor karting options available. read more

We had a 30th birthday party here on a Saturday night and it was amazing! This place is fun for both kids and adults. We booked the birthday party a few weeks in advance and they were very helpful getting us set up, changing our party size, and helping us order food. We ordered pizza through them for convenience, and we also brought in our own water bottles, chip/dip, veggie platter, fruit, and dessert free of charge. If you want to bring in any other food, it is an additional $50 charge. We also upgraded to the VIP room, which was incredibly spacious, had a speaker system, Xbox, and a pool table. Since we had 15 people racing and another 15 people attending but not racing, the larger room with activities was definitely worth it. As for the actual racing, everyone in the party got 2 races. Since we were a larger group, we were split up into 2 groups, but they allowed the birthday person to race in all 4 races, which was super nice! We also had no other people in our race, just the party, so that was another nice bonus. After the racing, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners got medals, and the birthday person got a goodie bag with a framed photo they took, some candy, a wristband, and a t-shirt. While the party is a bit on the pricier side, I do think it was worth it. We got a lot of help throughout the night and it was a really fun evening overall! read more

My two friends and I came for a spontaneous visit on the track. We found MB2 through Groupon and were excited to hit the track. It was three races for $39, but unfortunately I misread it and it was for one rider. This review is based on: the venue, employees, and overall experience. 1) The venue is a decently large warehouse in upper Sylmar. It features virtual reality, laser tag, and go karts. It has decent parking and is a clean facility. 2) The employees had terrible attitudes. They wouldn't even look at me when I spoke to them. One employee even walked away while I was talking to him. 3) The race itself was extremely short. They had so many rules for the drivers. One thing that was interesting was it wasn't a race, moreso whoever has the best laptime. They allowed about 6-8 drivers per race. You are assigned to a race number and there is no real way of tracking when that race would be, so if you miss it you got to wait. Overall, I will probably not come back here given the employee's attitudes. I would love to come back but unfortunately the way we were treated as customers was not acceptable. read more

We had a blast! I booked a party for my son's 10th birthday. It was super easy and fast. 1 call did it all. We set up the time, date, and the party package. I added the VIP experience. I would recommend it! The VIP room has the pool table, Xbox, darts, and lots a space. It was perfect for the kids and adults to hang out in between races. First time here. Came with my husband to celebrate my birthday. Place is clean, 1 hr wait time, staff was patient when I had card issues. Since it was just us two, we were places in a group of random adult men. it was our first time we didn't know how to drive. So at first we were so happy because we got the hang of it. That's when I was blasted so hard my neck started swelling in pain. They didn't penalize the guy. Oh well this might happen right. Then again. And again and again This was so painful. My joy turned into panic. I became so frightened at how serious these men were being smashing through everyone. Without being stopped. DO NOT i repeat DO NOT go to this place. I went here for two rounds of go carting. I went here with a few friends for a 14-lap race. When I got there I had to wait 2 hours before I even got the chance to race. Once we were finally able to race, the place scammed us and gave us a shorter experience. Instead of driving 14 laps around the race track, we only got to drive 8 laps. However, when I asked and checked to see the paper of how many laps I completed, the paper said I completed 13 laps. I think what they do is markup the total laps you completed on the paper and rely on your ignorance to get away with pulling this scam. I hope that other franchises are better, but ultimately, this experience was an utter disappointment. read more

Came in on a Saturday night around 9:30pm with my girlfriend. We had been planning this for weeks with our motorcycle helmets and gloves all ready to hit the track. The girl at the front was extremely rude and dismissive. Since there was a "tween" birthday party happening at the time her reply to us was "your lucky it's ONLY a 1.5 hr wait". You'd think this place was selling floor seats to an NBA playoff game or something. This is just an indoor go cart racing track in an industrial warehouse!! Honestly I had a terrible experience, I payed $40 for an incomplete race that I waited almost 2 hours for. Every lap was stopped because the same people kept bumping into each other and the workers did not do anything about it. We thought we were gonna get a redo race because of this, they even gave us new cart numbers as we were exiting and then after told us to get off. We booked our son's 12 birthday at the Sylmar MB2. We worked with Krystal to plan and book the event. MB2 was very booked up leading to his birthday so HIGHLY recommend you reach out to them MONTHS, not weeks in advance as they book up for parties well in advance. We got the room with pool table, fridge, etc. The kids where able to do 2 races and eat pizza etc. Honestly, out of all the venues we have booked over the years this was the most well organized by the vendor (MB2) and the kids had a blast. Krystal was awesome to work with leading up to and after the event. We had a host that helped us in the room and for the races, JJ. JJ was awesome to the kids and he was on point for all aspects of the party. Honestly great location, and I highly recommend you consider this location for parties or other events. read more

I've been calling this place every weekend for four weeks. They never answer. Never ever! I finally decided to drive out to do a little racing. Upon my arrival I was told the way it would be a minimum of two hours. There were about six people in line and I'm sure others waiting that had scheduled multiple races. Honestly they were only about 30 people in the entire building. I asked why no one ever picked up the phone, very nice girl at the front desk told me that they were too busy. And then she hears that all the time. What that tells me is they don't answer their phone for anyone. My guess is that they don't want to tell people the wait times because then they wouldn't come. I get it, you're busy but you are nowhere near as busy as other businesses that I visited over the weekend and they all would answer their phone. I drove 30 minutes because I wanted to blow off some steam and have some fun. I'm so grateful I did not bring my 15-year-old kid because he would've been utterly disappointed. And because I know they don't answer their phone, I probably never will again. I watch the counter and the employees for about five minutes before I went to the desk. At no point in time we're all of the employees so busy that they couldn't of answered the phone. For god sake's if you call the cheesecake factory they answer their phone and they have a two hour wait. So, try being honest and just say that you don't want to answer the phone because you don't want to give out information. Thanks for a lousy customer service. By the way, the girl at the front desk asked me if I wanted to speak to the general manager, what the fuck was he going to do? I used to really like this place, but it's gone down hill. It's nearly impossible to get on the track anymore in a timely manner. But the real issue, one they don't seem to take any stock in and creates a rather dangerous environment is how people drive. These karts go fast, they aren't meant to be bumper carts. Yet last time I raced, I got intense whiplash left and right because some a-hole was constantly bumping into me! I don't truly blame him though. I blame MB2 for not enforcing the rules they apparently are supposed to have in place, and not do anything about the situation when it's brought to their attention. They're one incident away from someone getting hurt and a lawsuit. So I won't be coming back. Will try out other places that actually show they care about the well being of the people racing. read more

It was very hot inside the building. ZERO air circulation. I'm not even sure they have air conditioning. Quite a few people were NOT wearing masks indoors. More attendants are needed to make this establishment a respectable business. Many of the staff were helpful. Some, just hid in the back, leaving the front counter unattended for long periods of time. Obviously, there is NO designated clean-up crew. The place was messy. There were food wrappers discarded every where except the trash receptacle. The arcade bill exchanger ONLY accepts cash. What??? Someone let this place know, we're a quasi cashless society now. Hello?! I bought the Triple Play pass but, after noticing the very questionable (and NOT very reassuring) disinfecting procedures, I skipped the VR experience. Overall, not the greatest experience. Drove 45 minutes and when I arrived, they told me that the private party had extended their time until closing. There were at least 12 - 15 people outside being turned away for the same reason. Now look, I get that they want to make the extra money off of the party, but don't tell guests on the phone that your facility will be available at 9pm, and then sell the facility out for longer than that. I asked what the manager could do since my friends and I just wasted an hour and a half of our lives (45 there and 45 home) based on what they told us on the phone and he offered to SELL me a buy one get one free coupon. Poor customer service. There might have been one 18 year old working there. Everyone else was 15 or 16...idk who hired a bunch of kids that have never worked a job before but the place is a zoo. Trash everywhere. All the employees talking, hanging out behind the counter while guests are waiting for help to play VR and laser tag. Bathrooms were dirty with no toilet paper or paper towels stocked. Employees wearing masks improperly. Other guests saw that some employees weren't wearing masks. So guests started to not wear masks. I grew up coming here every month. After years of not going I went about two weekends ago. It was disgusting. Tables were gross, bathroom needs plumbing, no mask enforcement. The arcade area was completely open and there were no cleaning supplies in sight. After u pay for a race u need to make an account the keyboards were greasy, therefore leading me to the one sanitizer bottle near the front door. It wasn't hand sanitizer it genuinely think it's cum. No safety video, no chance to read the terms and conditions. My friend had a broken cart leading her into an accident after 1 lap around the track. She didn't even finish her race and didn't get a refund. It was a mess. A young man came in with two friends both wearing mask but him. My friends and I watched as they waited in line to see if they would say anything. He went up, paid, and no word of needing a mask. At around 9:45 (closes @10pm) they announced for everyone to wear their mask. There was no one there at that point. There was a group of 7-10 teen boys all without mask wondering around touching the games, carts, and racing results. It was very inconsiderate. Our race was at 9:52pm. We waited since 7pm and had time to go get dinner then come back and still waited an hour, the helmets weren't cleaned or sprayed in between races. The carts weren't either. Going back to mb2 after all these years definitely ruined my opinion on this place. Never will go back. They need new management and employees who are responsible. It was a terrifying moment to see a cart go airborne over my friend who's wheel and seatbelt were broken. And no refund.... who runs this place. We had my sons 9th Birthday party this past Saturday and the kids had a blast! It was the easiest party I have ever hosted. The venue took care of everything! We had 15 racers and each child was able to race twice, once before lunch and once after. We had a party room with balloons and paper goods for each child. The feedback we got from the parents was that it was the best party their kids had ever attended! Worth every penny! One tip, if your party starts at opening do not show up early because the doors were locked. That's my only issue. They need to open early for the host, but otherwise they did a great job! read more
