Honest dine in experience: well worth having to find a parking spot: 5/5 will be back the next time we're in the area! When I think hole in the wall, this place has all the vibes to give you some of the best indications that the food is going to be simply amazing... we were met by some warm greetings as we were taken to our table; it was nice and cozy and welcoming and we made it work as it was just 3 of us. We were even offered a larger table when it came available, but we made it work happily. Between my fiancée and I, we tried the blue cheese burger and the monthly breakfast special. I'll highlight some of the best touches of our meal down below: -Parmesan crusted potatoes: 5/5 I still remember this bite of potatoes a month later... grated Parmesan cheese over what feels like a poached potato that's fluffy on the inside and crusted on the outside with panko, simply just a well rounded bite to complement our meal. Croissant monthly special: 5/5 Decadent and just light and fluffy you're met with a sandwich that had the buttery flakes you'd expect from a croissant and the lightness from the greens. Add the savory fillings from the sauce and combining the egg and you're just met with a balanced bite that alone just gives you a savory experience. My fiancée had the blue cheese burger and I will say... that was one of the best burgers I think we've both had to this day from a local diner, on our 4000 mile trip, this was the best first stop we could have asked for. Definitely earned the 5 stars!

Really cute, small eatery. Clearly popular as it was very full and we had a 30 minute wait. Service was prompt and friendly. Quiche was just okay. A bit overcooked. Nice pancakes. But the star was that tri tip dip sandwich and salad. Good flavors. The salad had a lovely raspberry peppercorn vinaigrette. I'd love to stop by again if we're ever in the area to try other menu items. The two gender neutral restrooms were single stall and clean.

Had the French Dip, French onion soup, children's quesadilla, mixed green salad and everything was perfect. The French Dip bun was soft while the meat was tender and the au jus flavorful. I actually didn't try the quesadilla but the child ate piece after piece, foregoing the side of chips that came with it, which is evidence in and of itself that the quesadilla was delicious. Green salad was deliciously tangy and sprinkled with crushed sunflower seeds. The coffee also was aromatic and yummy. The restaurant itself is small, almost like a hole in the wall but cutely decorated, with fresh cut flowers adorning every table. For those of you passing through and wondering if Elko is a safe stop, it is. My party was all Chinese-American, and we felt welcome from the time we walked in until we left. The servers were efficient and friendly.

This is an adorable little place off Main Street. Kylie was our server and she was just so bubbly and informative about the menu. There were three different variations of quiche available with interesting ingredients in all of them. Kylie explained to me that they used leftover items from different dishes to make their quiches, and it was just based on their imagination. I could eat a different quiche there every day and be a happy girl. The pancake were delicious, and I normally don't clean my plate but at this breakfast I did. I wish Elko wasn't such a long drive away or I would go more often.

Homemade pastries and good breakfast. On the pricier side for a small town, but they've got good quality food so you're getting your moneys worth. Not good for large groups. Great service, very kind people there.

High-quality breakfasts. Instead of the more typical "ham and eggs", McAdoo's serves things like a chorizo breakfast burrito, Canadian bacon, egg, and arugula on a roll, or an avocado, sausage, and egg muffin. Fresh squeezed orange juice. Can still get pancakes, French toast, etc...

This was our second time having our breakfast here in McAdoo's Elko. When my husband attend the mining expo every yerat, we always have our brunch here, because the food tasted homemade and the ingredients they used were quality. I ordered the blueberry pancake, just to check if the batter is a premix or from the scratch, and it did not disappoint: the pancake is fluffy and there's no store-bought-pre-mix-pancake after taste. I usually order it's artisan coffee, but this time I chose it's brewed, and it also tasted good. I tried my husband's quiche, and the crust is not thick and overpowering like the other quiche that I tried in other restaurants. Expect a full-packed morning, but it was worth waiting for your seats. The staff were efficient and can handle a busy brunch. The ambiance is inviting and comfortable. I don't find the diners noisy, even though it was full-packed when we came. I will recommend this restaurant when you visit Elko, Nevada!

Roasted Turkey sandwich with roasted potatoes on the side.

On a roadtrip and stopped by McAdoo's for lunch. Great service, ambience, and delicious food. They were busy and we were a big group but we were seated immediately, and the service was prompt. Our family ordered the veggie wrap, roasted turkey sandwich, kids quesadilla, and tilapia tacos. Everything was delicious. The veggie wrap was amazing - the filling and the wrap - and the side salad - so much better than a regular house salad - in fact my five year old gobbled up with her quesadilla. Highly recommend stopping here if you are in Elko.

It's my fault lettuce was sticking out...this was so good and those potatoes were outstanding.

First time here ..not sure how long this restaurant has been around..only in elko when I work..ok so let me say this place is so clean so simple but very pretty..thats the best way I can describe it..I had the egg and bacon croissant with these awesome potatoes..first time I ever had such great potatoes..garlic and cheese so much better than regular hash browns..I highly recommend this place and the service was just as great..thank you.

Great little place. Can definitely tell it's a mom and pop shop. Great friendly service that makes you feel like a regular. Its breakfast menu consists mostly of breakfast sandwiches but they do have pancakes, waffles, and French toast available.

Stopped in to McAdoo's for brunch after my doctors appointment this morning. I had never visited before, so today seemed like a good time. Monday morning was slow, therefore there wasn't a wait to be seated and parking right up front was a breeze. I entered, and they allowed me to sit at their cute little bar where I got some good pics of their holiday decor and the front of the house. Seeing as how I arrived shortly after 10:30, I was given both breakfast and lunch menus which was nice because at that time I wasn't sure which I'd want. Now I have to admit, I believe it was over priced. Even a simple breakfast sandwich was over $18. That's a lot for a bagel with some bacon. So I wanted to make sure and order something I thought would be worth it. I've also been recommended their Quiche by locals, and at $13 it's not bad... but by 10:30 am on a Monday they were already out of Quiche. Le Sigh. So I ordered the Grilled chicken with marinated, house-roasted bell peppers, mozzarella, red onion, and chopped basil on toasted Garlic Ciabatta, with Side Salad and some Coffee. This sandwich was AMAZING. Juicy flavorful grilled chicken, yummy melt in your mouth bell peppers. The basil added an herbaceous element that was a nice contrast to the rich peppers and fresh mozzarella. The Garlic ciabatta was soft and delicious, not hard like some ciabattas can be. If I had one thing to say is I wish it had one more slice of the mozzarella so that it covered the entire top of the bread. Otherwise the sandwich was well worth it and the customer service was great. My waitress was super nice and made conversation with me. It was inviting and welcoming and the food was awesome! I can't wait to go back!!

This place was charming and the staff was very friendly. Ambiance is inviting and makes you want to return here. The food is yummy and exceeded my expectations for this kind of eatery. Stopped in to eat lunch while visiting. Really enjoyed the French onion soup (seemed better than most places) and the healthy menu options. They also have like ten different mimosas you can choose from which was very tempting. Overall, a charming little breakfast/lunch spot with delicious food options and friendly service.

Snobby food. I heard someone call this place snobby food. I guess I like snobby food because I have come here three times while working in Elko. The food is always good. The pancakes are always amazing...and the price is always just a little higher than I would like to pay. ;) But seriously, I had a tomato soup that was thick and chunky and tasty...I could have easily put it over a bowl of pasta. The burritos that I have had for breakfast have been just splendid. One thing that you might want to beware of...sometimes they run out of stuff. For me, I like that, I would rather know they have ran out of stuff, than feed me something that could be pushing that expiration date. It just means I need to be flexible. Plus their location is right next to a really great coffee place. Maybe the best in town....so far at least. They have daily specials so keep an eye peeled for those too. read more

We went here on two different days on one day it wasn't busy and the next it was very busy, but both days the service was great and the food was consistently delicious! The French onion soup is superb! The veggie wrap is totally satisfying. The Orzo Spinach Salad surprisingly filling and delicious! The chicken sandwich with roasted red peppers and mozz..yum! There are two small tables outdoors, but inside is quite charming. The restaurant is clean and staff is professional. I love this place! read more

Nice little place in downtown Elko. Had French Onion soup where was nice. It was hot too. Can't count the times I get soup that is lukewarm at best. Really liked the steak sandwich served in grilled sour dough. Ordered it with green salad. Only drawback was that it was swimming in blue cheese dressing. Can't knock that because I should have ordered dressing on the side. For those who like a little salad with your dressing, it would be perfect. Overall, great food, great service, prices not too inflated. Will definitely stop back next time through. You should too! read more

So. Good. My family and I are driving cross country-- from Miami, FL -- and in over 3,000 miles this has been the best meal we've had. We had the croissant sandwich with potatoes and the chorizo wrap with pancakes. Every item was delicious. The coffee was fantastic too! Great service and very clean. Do yourself a favor and plan to have breakfast here. read more

We are on a road trip and we stopped in Elmo for lunch. Because of the high ratings on Yelp, we stopped in at McAdoos. The staff were very friendly and nice. Everyone had smiles on their faces. The bathrooms were clean! My husband and I split the blue cheese burger. It came with potatoes coated with toasted panko breadcrumbs and topped with Parmesan cheese. We also split the side salad. The burger was delicious as were the potatoes and the salad. The salad dressing was wonderful! It was definitely worth the stop and we would visit again if ever back in Elmo! read more

Like many in these parts, we were just passing thru on this balmy 1 degree morning. Flyin into town on fumes and needing to fill our belly's we stumbled onto this little gem of a spot. We were nearing the end of an almost 3,000 mile road trip with four other couples and stopped at McAdoo's for lunch. The server, Chelsi, was fabulous and got everyone's order correct the first time. They gladly seated our party of ten and were very prompt with the service. The food was to die for! Every person in our group loved their food and most of us left with some baked goods for the drive home. The next time we are in this part of Nevada, we will definitely be stopping in for a bite. read more

I am giving them a 4 because the food took a very long time to get to us - 40 minutes from order. However, the food was excellent! The breakfast sandwich with egg, sausage, avocado & aioli was a 10! This is the kind of place you hope to find while traveling. The selections were limited but prepared with attention to detail and apparently locally sourced ingredients. I had the breakfast burrito which with each bite I found an ample amount of meat and egg. The service was excellent. Each person tried to balance the needs of the clientele with a sense of humor and friendly demeanor I don't understand the few negative reviews as it is hard to see how they could improve on our experience. read more

We came across this gem during our drive from Utah to California. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. My husbands turkey sandwich was delicious. Our side Red potatoes were a bit undercooked. My egg sandwich was too stuffed for my liking but I understand that a lot of people enjoy "the more the merrier". Regardless it was a great experience. Fresh ingredients. read more

We stopped by after seeing all the great reviews but our lunch left us a little disappointed. Service was pretty slow. We were never offered refills on any of our drinks. Food was decent though. I had the tri-tip sandwich and potatoes. The potatoes could use more seasoning. Seating is tight in the small dining room. Definitely room for improvement but overall pretty decent. read more

McAdoo's is a small, bustling place in "downtown" Elko with friendly service and decent food. We appreciated the variety in the menu, which included several tasty vegetarian options. It would have been nice to have the option of french fries with some of the sandwiches; the skillet potatoes they serve really aren't my thing. Fortunately I was able to get a nice side salad instead. I kind of got this "ladies who lunch" vibe here, probably due to the extensive menu of Mimosas available, but there were a few dudes eating here as well. This was a great lunch stop on a long trip from Salt Lake to Reno, and far and away more satisfying and memorable than any fast food would have been. Check it out! read more

Was visiting the area and happened upon McAdoo's for breakfast. I was looking for just breakfast basics such as an omelet, but got the breakfast sandwich with Parmesan potatoes, and loved every bite!! Service was a bit slow and only saw my waitress to take my order, and wasn't checked on again. Great breakfast would visit again. read more

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Elko. The food is always outstanding and no matter what I order, I am always delighted with my meal! I've tried it all and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu - for breakfast or lunch! I make it a point to eat here every time I'm in town, and dream about it when I'm gone. Servers are great and always efficient, happy and polite. Highly recommend!! read more

The food was decent, about what I expected. But where they lose major points is how slow they were. It took an hour for us to get a sandwich and a salad that basically was just dressing over spinach. If you go, be prepared for a 2 hour lunch. read more

We came to this restaurant for lunch in a group of ten, and were nervous when we saw how small it was. However, McAdoo's accommodated us perfectly. Service was quick and kind, and the food was at our table in no time for all ten of us. This is a great local place and probably the best eatery in Elko. I would probably give the food 3.5 stars if McAdoo's were in a larger town, but a meal like this is incredible for Elko. The service was EXCEPTIONAL as well; The people working there are some of the nicest servers I've ever met! And after my vegan friend ordered potatoes that unknowingly had cheese on it (their fault), the house gave her a whole new plate without cheese. I had the veggie wrap, and it was extremely fresh and satisfying. The tortilla did however unwrap a bit when I picked it up, making it a little messy. They should take a bit more care with wrapping it. The side of potatoes was incredible! They were piping hot and topped with delicious bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese. I heard from the other guests that they made a very tasty burger as well. Many of their sauces are made in house and are delectable. For dessert, I ordered a petit flour, which was a small bite of a kind of layer cake. You can order one specifically, or you can let them surprise you with the flavor. I got the chestnut, and it was delicious! It melted in my mouth and it wasn't to heavy either. Overall, a great little local eatery that deserves all the business it gets! read more

A must-stop in Elko on the way to Park City. Delicious coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, wraps and fluffy pancakes. Everything is house-made and the service is generous and perfect. Extremely happy with the COVID protocols and we will be back! Thank you! read more

Can you smell those fresh croissants? Unbelievable breakfast sandwich and flakey mouth watering quiche. Fruit side was fresh and varied . Coffee hot and very tasty. Passing through Elko make this a must. read more
