Walking into this deli I had high expectations. Nice look and menu. Total fail by the manager and staff. After ordering two sandwiches and a salad, we sat down and waited... and waited... and waited... Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I finally got up after half an hour to see if they lost our order. I brought my order number with me and the manager's response was, "it's always busy like this on Sunday's." Okay, I managed a food service operation before If its ALWAYS busy on a certain day/time, then you bring in more staff. Anyway, they finally brought our order out about 10 min later. My wife liked her salad, but I was very disappointed in my Reuben. I'm a huge sauerkraut fan and I couldn't see or tasted any on my Reuben. We were running late by now, so there was no way I was returning it. I love everything about my this place. Very friendly management team and staff which makes it a great place to take the family. The menu is quite diverse for a deli and almost everything is good. I get something different almost every time, sandwiches, soup and/or salads are all good. The outdoor seating area is nice, especially for a large group. Upon return to Montgomery from a day in Atlanta, we stopped at McAlister's Deli in Auburn. There's always something good on the menu plus great sweet tea. I had the Reuben with potato salad, Mrs. Bunny had the Club and Son Of Bunny had the Turkey Reuben. It's a shame that we couldn't support McAlister's while they were in Montgomery. We have been known to suffer the brief drive to their Prattville location. Yes, it's that good. read more

Terrible, we have used curbside twice and have been shorted food we have paid for. The second time we paid for our food using their app. Nothing was mentioned about being out of chicken bacon and sour cream which we paid for online. When I asked for a refund the girl told me it was against so policy to refund for items not received. When I asked for a full refund she told me since I paid for online it could not get a refund. An excellent chain of Deli Restaurants, and this one is no exception. The food is always good, and the sweet tea lives up to expectations. I almost always have good service here, one time receiving my food as I sat down at my table. The place can draw big crowds which will noticeably affect service, so I tend to show up a bit early. read more

I ordered food from the Auburn, Alabama McAlister's tonight through the Tiger Town To Go delivery service, about 5:50 pm I believe. The food came, took a while, but their delivery time prediction was accurate. However, when I got my food, my sandwich was wrong. I had ordered a full-size sandwich with a cup of soup on the side, and a baked potato. The potato and the soup were correct but the sandwich only had meat and bread on it, instead of with the cheese I added and it was only a half sandwich. I called the restaurant to ask them to give me a credit or to send a new sandwich and was told they couldn't help me. I asked them why that was and was given non-answers and finally got the manager on the phone. I didn't get her name, but it was whoever was working Monday evening, 2/26/18. She was not very polite and seemed shocked and frustrated that I would want a refund/new sandwich/etc. She finally told me that she would comp the sandwich from my bill and I asked how that would work, considering I paid the delivery driver with cash. She told me I had to call the delivery service and tell them to come back and give me money back. We ended the call, but I thought about it and realized I had no proof to give the delivery service as to why they should give me money back. So I tried calling the restaurant again, but the line was busy for 15 minutes. I finally got someone to answer the phone but the poor girl who answered had to keep running back and forth between the phone and her manager because the manager would not come to the phone, for whatever reason. I told them that I had no proof, and anyway I didn't think it should be my job trying to rectify the situation since they were the people responsible for filling my order incorrectly. So then the manager said that they would give me a new sandwich, I only had to go and get it. Now, if I had a way to get to the restaurant and avoid the delivery and service charges from the delivery service, I would have done that in the first place. I told them as much, and I was told once again that I could not be helped if I would not come to get the sandwich. I asked how they were going to fix the situation then and they told me to call the delivery service and get them to come back for my sandwich. I said no, once again, they messed up, I would prefer it if they fixed their mistake. So then, she rudely said "Fine. I will call them and get them to bring you your sandwich." Then she hung up before I could ask when that would be. It has now been almost a full two hours since that last call, and I have not gotten my sandwich. I know this isn't a big deal, just a sandwich, but I paid for a meal and would like to get what I paid for, without being treated like an imbecile. I am not happy with this McAlister's and would give it a negative stars review if I could. Please be wary when ordering from this restaurant, and be prepared to deal with possible rudeness. That being said, the cash register girl I spoke with was very polite and helpful. Edit: it has now been almost three full hours since I called and was told they would get somebody to bring me a new sandwich, and no new sandwich has shown up. I called again and I spoke with a different manager and he said it's not in their company policy to call tiger town themselves, so they made me a new sandwich, but it's just been sitting there because they never called anyone to pick it up and deliver it. read more

My friends and I love going to McAlister's! The service is alway fast and the staff is super friendly! The food is delicious and the tea/ lemonade is really good. This restaurant is my favorite place to go for a speedy yet healthy (some times) lunch. read more
