I loved this place. This was only the second time I ever ate at a McCallisters. Both times were really good. They have some interesting pairings like a pick two that could include a soup, salad, app, wrap and other things I cannot remember. Premium choices are an upcharge but at many places the choices are not even available. Let me say this, if you follow me you already know this. I hate places that ask for a tip at the counter but I do all the work. I thought this was the case here but the only thing I did at the counter was order and pay. My drink was filled(I had tea and it was behind the counter), my meal was brought to my table and my table was cleared by the staff. I would have tipped here if I understood the process. I had the half pecanberry salad with the half prime rib baked potato. The potato was actually a whole potato, probably just one of the smaller ones in the box. It was cooked perfectly, had the right amount of butter and was served with au jus. I thought it could have had more prime rib but it was a half order and I did not want more anyway, The salad was maybe better than the potato. Fresh blueberries and strawberries on a leafy salad topped with a vinagrette dressing. I see a lot of mixed reviews but most of them are for take out or delivery. I placed an online order on 8/31/25 for a grilled chicken Ceaser Salad. Once I got home later that day, I opened the box to only see Lettuce & Dressing (no croutons, no cheese, no chicken) I called & asked for a refund. I was told they would let the manager know the next day to process a refund. I called on 9/2/25 to confirm that a refund was processed. They said the manager was busy & would be calling me back. Never received call so I called again the same day. They said the manager has to leave but the refund was processed & was told to call back the next day to confirm. I called again on 9/3/25, they said the manager was busy but they sent an email to the IT department to process the refund. I waited until today 9/12/25 to see if I would get the refund, still haven't gotten it. I called today 9/12/25 spoke with the Manager "Mark or Marsh". He said he doesn't see that the refund was processed & all he can do is offer to remake the salad. 13 days later (9 business days) . I requested a refund, they told me it was processed & were lying the whole time. He said he can TRY to process the refund but it may have been too much time passed. At this point I am deserving more of just a refund. I had to call 5 times for a mistake that you made. No apology, no call back & multiple people lying. Do better McAllister's - you serve good food but you should be embarrassed serving what I got today - 2 inedible pieces of pineapple (consistency of cardboard), one small half piece of a very, very soggy strawberry, two very small and very smushy grapes, and 4 pieces of decent tasting melon. Either do it correctly or take it off your menu. And this is not the first time I've received an inedible side of fruit from this location that I've had to throw away most of. I went to this location in the early evening with my lady, and upon entering the establishment, there was one patron in front of us. My lady and I discussed what we were looking forward to ordering, and waited patiently as there was only one staff member, a young female, behind the register. After waiting for a few minutes, the patron in front of us was having problems with his card which was noticed by someone in the grill area who I assumed was the manager, and directed the young staffer to move to another register to try to complete his order which was understandable. By this time another staffer, a young black male, approached the register, clocked in while having a frown on his face giving off the impression that he didn't want to be at work, and walked away. My lady and I were taken back for a good amount of time had passed and up until this time we still were not greeted or acknowledged leading us to make the decision to leave the establishment disappointed to go to another restaurant where service was more inviting. With a quick acknowledgment things could have been different with feeling like a valued customer oppose to just another face. I'm not sure if we would return to this establishment because we believe that the quality of the food would mirror the quality of service that we experience which was very disappointing and distasteful. I'm not a big fan of delis. Cold cut sandwiches sound so boring to me because they're something I can make at home and usually bring to work for lunch. So to go out for lunch at work and pay more to get the same thing is very unappealing. Tagging along for lunch one day, though, I went to McAlister's Deli. Not only were there cold cut sandwiches, there were hot sandwiches, salads, soups, and baked potato options, as well as full-on hot comfort food entrees like meatloaf and roast beast with gravy. I loved seeing the corned beef and pastrami on the menu. Mmm... A lot of sub/sandwich shops don't carry those two meats, preferring to stick with "the basics." I went with the Muffaletta, though, because it's fun to say and sounded yummy. Half Muff, please! We returned on another occasion and I wanted something fairly light, but it was also a chilly day. The soup and salad combo did the trick. I was one happy boy. The entrees are good-sized and there is plenty of seating so customers aren't all on top of one another. Good place with a lot of options for lunch. You can even customize your sandwich here if you aren't feeling up to their many sandwich options. I think all McAlister's feel a bit the same... you get "herded" to the back of the location to a bank of registers to order. The staff at most of these locations are pretty friendly and helpful... sometimes you feel a little rushed if the line is starting to build and they try to get you through. You are given a number to place on the table and the bring out the food to you nice a hot/fresh. This location offers free wi-fi but I haven't brought my computer to test it out yet. I've seen people working or meeting with laptops here. The thing I HATE about this location in the university area is the parking lot. It is impossible to get in and out easily and the spaces are all for compact cars, which makes for some interesting parking lot stories and near misses. read more

They keep the restaurant clean and tidy at all times. They ensure that all orders are prepared and ready (both "to go" and dine-in) in a timely manner. And I have never been the slightest bit disappointed with any menu item I've ordered. The food is both excellent and consistent, something I don't experience in many restaurants. But the staff is what makes it such a great place to eat. I've often thought they have the best employees, based on how the place is run, which says a lot about the management. Both were delicious and together very filling. The salad was fresh, crisp, & flavorful and the potato was hot, cooked prefect, & loaded. It's a great luck spot & I will be back to try some other things on the menu. The cashier was very friendly & offered me suggests one being the salad I ordered. The manager named Angel was in the front greeting customers as she was helping her staff & answering calls. It's always great seeing a productive and helpful manager.
