Our first time at McAllister's Deli was today and we were very pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity of food. Plenty of parking and seating, superb customer service folks at the counter (Karen was most helpful). After we finished our meal (and boxed up half of everything to take home) we talked at length with the manager (Heather). I got the club sandwich with the cranberry sauce. I was disappointed as the bacon was very under cooked, sauce didn't taste right. I complained & they asked if I wanted another sandwich which I said no, they offer if I wanted something else which I took a salad which was good. As far as the club sandwich had a lot to desired. Wow, my wife's dinner was fine. Mine was made wrong. 30 min later it still was not remade. I asked for a refund. Manager could not figure out how to refund. I am sad as I like the place and have been a regular for the last few years. Covid or not manager needs to know how to run the pos. My first time here and it was pretty good. Like Panera but a little less pretentious. Menu has a wide variety of choices which is nice and they also have a pick two option similar to Panera. Though the place was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon, but we were able to get our order in quickly and able to find a table quickly as well. Our food came out pretty promptly and the portions were a decent size for 8 bucks. My only gripe is the half Rueben sandwich I ordered didn't have any Thousand Island dressing, which as any sandwich enthusiast knows is an essential part of a Rueben. We went to McAlister's for the 1st time tonight and it will be our LAST. I ordered a baked potato and knew it's hard to screw up and sure enough they did SCREW UP. It came to the table with the fixings I asked for and 1 butter. The baked potato was cool and 1/2 the inside of the potato was missing so I brought it up to the counter only to be told by a skinny girl to wait. I then told her it's luke warm, some of the potato is missing and I want a fresh hot potato. She told the kid (young boy wearing a green shirt) that she needs a fresh hot baked potato that's hot. He rolled his eyes at me and was pretty rude so I asked for the manager & the corp. phone number. The skinny girl also had a severe attitude. I told the manager that this is our 1st time there and will never come back. She didn't know what to say. Didn't even offer our money back. Do NOT recommend. Awesome food with great service, I will definitely be coming here again! When we came in, the line was a bit long and I was disappointed assuming we would be standing around for a while. However, the guys at the desk moved everyone along efficiently and it was our turn within a few minutes. I ordered my sandwich, to which the guy taking my order told me was also his preference. Said it was the best sandwich they make...and he wasn't lying. My first visit to McCalister's was fantastic, I'm extremely pleased. I wouldn't even give this a 1 if Yelp gave me a choice. I ordered nachos through door dash...I've done this many times as they have been delicious in the past. FLIES IN THE VINAIGRETTE! I would not recommend ever going here again. I went to put some balsamic vinaigrette on my sandwich since it was pretty bland, and right before I poured it out, a fly came crawling out the lid. I then looked into the bottle to see DOZENS dead and floating around. It was disgusting. We returned our food and got a refund. The staffs reaction made it seem like this wasn't uncommon. The manager said "it's Florida, sometimes flies get in. I'm sure you understand." No. That's unacceptable. Then she whispered to one of the servers to collect the rest of the bottles. Mayyyyyyybe if the bottles were kept outside I would kind of understand, although it would still be gross. Liked it during the day but if you come in at the end of the night they make you feel very unwelcome. I came in 45 mins before close and the bathrooms were dirty. They automatically make your food to go. If you eat in the lobby they cut the music and talk among themselves with no courtesy that people are trying to eat in their restaurant. Don't come in late unless you want to feel like an unwanted house guest. read more

The food here did not live up to the hype. Every time I have driven by this place it was packed. I was quite excited to have a deli open in Clermont, unfortunately a deli it is not. I ordered a turkey club and although the lettuce and tomato were super fresh and crispy, the turkey itself resembled super thinly sliced prepackaged lunch meat that you would find in the refrigerator section of the grocery store and the bread was super thin and mushy by the time I received my food. It's the type of place where you order at the counter and someone brings it to your table. I believe that it was probably ready for some time before It was brought out to me and that is what led to the bread being mushy. I also did not like that you cannot see them preparing the food in the kitchen, unlike places as Jason's Deli. I will not return here. read more

While our sandwiches were good, it took some time to get it right, and it still wasn't fully correct. We ordered 2 sandwiches, one of them toasted, the other not. They toasted the wrong sandwich. And then, the sandwich that was supposed to be toasted, they must have thrown just 1 piece of bread on the toaster, and that was it. The sandwich was barely toasted or warm. The Reuben sandwich is awesome. My wife had the Savanah Chopped Salad and she said it was very good too. It is a little pricey for a deli. I think the drinks are overpriced but the sandwich prices were decent for what I got. Busy place, we had to wait a little while for our food but it was worth it. I have eaten at McAlister's a few times and have been impressed, not only by the attentiveness of their service but, the quality and taste of their food. Their menu is complete with a wide variety of salads, wraps and sandwich's; most importantly, everything is made fresh daily. Also, I recently had the opportunity to utilize their catering service. McAlister's catered a (40 person) luncheon for one of our top customers. Of course, they appreciated us for providing lunch and were very complimentary that we used McAlister's. I encourage you to try McAlister's just once and bet you'll become a regular customer. read more

EXCELLENT!!! We are remodeling our kitchen and having to find healthy alternatives to eat out in town. Ate dinner at McAllister's last night, and it was extremely good and very satisfying. Delicious salad and huge portions. Sandwich was super fresh and bread was delicious. Also, sandwich serving was very generous. Food is fresh and was as good or better than if I had made it at home. We ordered a veggie potato and Reuben with Mac and cheese. The potato was crunchy and a little over cooked with frozen veggies. The Reuben was good except it wasn't grilled enough and was soggy. The Mac and cheese was luke warm and tasted like packaged frozen. Overall not the best experience. On to brusters for ice cream!!! read more

I loved McAlister's when I first tried it! My manager and I would eat lunch there weekly, always getting the choose 2 with the chicken salad croissant and the spud max. After months of eating there we went for our weekly McAllister's fix and my manager picked up her croissant sandwich to take a bite and noticed the whole bottom was covered in mold!! They apologized and we wrote it off as a one time thing. A few weeks later (this was on 10/21/17) I ordered a chicken salad croissant and my croissant had dark blue/green mold on the bottom of it! I was disgusted! The employees apologized but you could tell they weren't surprised. I realized that if on 2 separate occasions the food had mold the whole back kitchen must not be sanitary, or must not be rotating food properly. It makes me feel gross thinking about all of the rotten food I probably ate there! McAllister's, your food tastes amazing but I can't eat there anymore because of the serious food safety problem you must have going on there. read more

Ordered a simple Chicken Caesar Salad...first mistake was that it came to the table without any chicken...second problem was the lettuce was slimy and black in quite a few spots. The customer service here continues to amaze me. A few months back we went to the restaurant and waiting 15 minutes without anyone greeting us so we left. Tonight we decided to give them another chance because panera was closed ;however, we were greeted then the cashier decided to take a call with no one else in the restaurant there. We stood there for 10 min before deciding to leave again. Please McAlisters , do yourself a favor and send your management team to Panera Bread around the corner. I have tried coming to this deli twice now to get the Spud (stuffed potato). The first time they said they were out completely. So I ordered a sandwich instead and it took awhile to get to us at the table. It wasn't very tasty. I figured they must be having a bad day because no one came by to ask us if we needed anything or a refill. This was around 5 pm on a weekday. The second time I tried to eat here was on a Saturday at 8:45pm. They close at 9:30. I asked before I ordered if they had potatoes and they said yes so my friend and I order two. The place was empty except for one table of 6 people and there were two people behind us ordering potatoes too. Well after 30 minutes of waiting for our food, I asked what was going on with our food. Supposedly, they had to cook them and would be another 10-15 minutes. What?! It's a dang potato!! The manager brought us chips to eat while we waited but when the potato finally came, it was wrong. I asked them to take off the onions and peppers and they came back and said they mixed up my order with someone else's. Ugh! It wasn't busy. Anyway, I asked for my money back and they obliged, thank god. But I will never go back there again. You're better off going to Panera less than a minute away. read more

Very good sandwich shop. Full to capacity and this location has been open for just 2 weeks. Friendly staff, fast service. Line was out the door and I still only waited like 10 min. Last chance.........NOW I am done with this place. I was craving a reuben sandwich and thought, well 1 more time and we will see. I asked the lady behind the counter if the reuben bread was grilled, the way it is supposed to be and she said no the bread was toasted. Hmmm? Guess they are NOT serving reubens there. As i looked dumbfounded at her she said they don't have flattop grill. OK? I asked if they had a saute pan they could use for making the sandwich and she answered, "we DO have a panini press, would you like it done in that?" Well sure that would work better that toast. So i ordered it prepared that way with a side of mac and cheese. So bring out the sandwich and lo and behold...... on toast???? WTF???? And NO mac and cheese......they ran out and had to prepare more. "Would you like to wait 5 mins and we will get it out to you?" Ok I guess. 15 min later......no mac and cheese, but, get this.......the reason was because it was STILL FROZEN?????WOW boil in a bag mac and cheese. I am thoroughly disgusted now.
