Well this is off the list for coming back. I ordered the McAlisters Club at $10.99 while my wife ordered the choose 2 which is promoted as $11.29...well when I ordered the McAlisters Club the counter person taking the order asked what side did I want, I questioned that this comes with a side? She said yes any one of these; while pointing at the menu board. So I said okay give me the broccoli soup. Then she added up the meals and gave me the total of $40.14!!! I questioned $10.99 and $11.29 for meals was roughly $25 the two teas couldn't have been an additional $15???? So I asked for the receipt...see picture attached. All the add ons I am one not to complain about food but the quality of this was no where near worth that price. I don't mind paying but I think the price should reflect product. The club pathetically had very little meat and you could take 2-3 simple bites of each and you're done. The broccoli soup come to find out wasnt part of the McAlisters Club so I got charged for that. Plus, my wife's salad was considered premium although offered as the choose 2...so extra and more extra...so for $40 we probably were better off going elsewhere. read more

We were excited to have a McAlister's Deli near our hotel. We came in around 5 for dinner and many things were out. They were out of Mac and Cheese and Fresh fruit. I had to keep changing my order to find something they did have. The store wasn't very packed and they kept forgetting items on our order. Lots of places to sit inside. My mom had a garden salad and my dad had the potato soup. I had the kids meal garden salad. Overall, we were happy to have our meals. read more

Chronically a very mid experience. Food, ambience, or service aren't a favorite. I go to McAlister's when friends invite me, but not as my choice, even though I live conveniently nearby. The potential to be better probably exists, but the quality over all areas needs so much improvement that I'll choose to spend my time and money elsewhere every time. read more

The food was ok, nothing to write home about. I ordered my sandwich on croissants, they didn't make it like that. So I sent it back and they redid it. When I got it, they didn't put any mustard. I keep finding reasons to why I dislike this place so much. What's the point of customizing your food if you can't even get it right? Ordered half McAlister's Club and half Savannah Salad. For less than $10 it's a steal. Not... To my surprise the sandwich was lacking in every department you could possibly imagine! Puny pieces of turkey, and half a pathetic slice of bacon which I had to pick out. I also asked for other veggies and they were missing from my order. The bread consumed most of the sandwich. Biting into it all I could taste was bread and cheese, no deli meat because it was practically nonexistent!! The salad on the other hand was plentiful. It was a meal on its own while my husband's sandwich was made perfectly. This was the final straw. I loved what I got but should have asked for more meat in the pepper jack turkey sandwich and the Broccoli cheddar soup I don't recommend didn't have a lot of flavor and not nearly enough cheese. I love McAlisters Deli. There is only one location in the city. Staff is always usually pleasant. Service isn't super fast but you never have to wait super long. When you order I line the order is always pretty accurate. I rated it 3 stars because the restaurant is never clean. From the floor to the tables to waiting bench near the to go area. Quality ingredients, flavor, and value alone would make this establishment a solid 4 star recommendation. Portions are generous--salads are HUGE, even the "cup" of soup is more like a bowl-sized serving, and potatoes are gi-normous! I recommend the half and half (half salad, half soup or sandwich option) as it offers the best of both fresh and hearty made with healthful, whole ingredients. Big kudos to the "spud ole!", a heaping helping of cheese, chili, salsa and jalapeños --highly recommended for those partial to starchy carbs. Counter service often has a line to the door, as McAlister's is quite popular with the lunch crowd. Family friendly ambience is welcoming and staff take orders with a smile and fine Coastal Bend hospitality. The only potential blemish to sully McAlister's otherwise quad-stellar rating in my book is the spotty wait time for odd things. On more than one occasion I have waited more than 20 minutes for my meal to be served. One time, we waited more than 15 minutes before being advised that there was no chili left--Something that really should've been apparent at the time of ordering or shortly after. Improved attention from management would likely prevent such snafus from occurring and eliminate long wait times for pre-prepared items such as salads and soups. I love McAllister's; it's a solid place to get a good sandwich or spud and usually you can expect the same at any location. Usually I like doing the half sandwich with soup deal, and their tea is a must. I like getting the Arnold Palmer. The service here is very nice, one of them even came up to my table to refill my drink. Their new Cuban sandwich is good, but their chicken Caesar wrap is not according to my friend. Both restrooms are filthy and it took forever to get our order, and we were the only ones in line.

The servers don't take much pride, I had a to go order, and it was handed to me with my soup and gravey all flipped upside down. I didn't appreciate that, I would have been very upset if I would have made it home and the soup and gravey were all on the bottom of the bag. read more

My other pricey sandwich place stopped bringing food to the table and started handing out buzzers. That ended my being a customer there so I gave this place a try. McAlisters is REALLY good. The food was amazing as well as the owner and staff except for our server Kaitlyn R.. My grandmother had recommended this place for our dinner because she loved the Lobster roll. Apparently this used to be a special and was an off menu item. When we asked Kaitlyn about the Lobster roll she informed us that they do not have such a thing and do not carry any lobster. My grandmother asked if she would check with the chef to make sure of it and Kaitlyn copped an attitude and said " I work here everyday we do not have lobster". I insisted after that for her to just ask the owner to make sure. She yelled from our table to across the bar where he was standing and said " we don't have lobster , right?" And he said actually we do and I can accommodate that. She was rude the rest of the dining experience because she probably embarrassed on being wrong. My grandmother asked for more dressing my for her salad and that took 16 minutes for her to get. When trying to make small talk while she was making the bananas Foster she was short and seemed irritated. My grandmother is dying of cancer and the last thing she needs is someone being rude to her for no reason. The owner was great and attentive! My grandmother and her friends said after that experience they would not be returning because of how egotistical she was. I recommend we just order take out from now on since we love the food and the owners wife's desserts. I was in the service industry for 10+ years and can't wrap my head around why she couldn't just go ask and made it a big deal since she works off tips and then was awful the rest of Our dining experience. 0 stars if I could. Placed an online order at 8:15PM and didn't walk out until 9:02 with half my order missing. 2 employees were helpful and the rest were just annoyed that anyone walked in. I won't be back and I'll tell everyone I know not to go back. My husband and I visit this McAlister's location frequently (1-2 times per week), and usually it's a great experience. The food is good and rightly priced. It's a healthy, quick option for lunch and never disappoints. Shaka is a wonderful employee; she is always helpful and friendly.
