We bought 3 sandwiches, over $30. My sandwich was very unappealing and bland. The Hook and Ladder is supposed to come with cheese....no cheese to be found. Very thin slices of turkey and ham, almost undetectable!! My wife got the Italian sandwich also no cheese. She asked for no ham, doesn't care for it. She wanted turkey substituted , but to no avail. This sandwich came with pepperoni, pepperoni and more pepperoni, nothing else. And, very thin slices at that. Forget about it ....I guess ?!!? The Bacon Ranch and Hook and Ladder looked the same. Food was excellent, after they remade my burger. When we first got my burger ( 1/2 pound with cheddar cheese grilled onions and grilled mushrooms) the mushrooms Where extremely hot spicy hot they accidentally cooked them next to the grilled jalapenos that my husband ordered. Well, this is yet another national chain sandwich place that boasts "fresh" ingredients and great flavors. And while the bread is fresh and the menu is different, I can't help but notice an incredible similarity to that OTHER nationally recognized chain sandwich place. You can get a sandwich in either white or wheat, that's it. But, they range in size from a "light" wheat roll, to an 8" and a 12". I had the New York Steamer which had corned beef, pastrami, provolone and dressings. It was an okay, hot sandwich but just didn't have a "wow" that would make me want to run back and do it again sometime. There wasn't a whole lot in the sandwich itself and the dressings seemed to take over the flavor. Doesn't give warm fuzzies when the pickle spear raises the eyebrows more than the sub..... Now, one thing Firehouse Subs DOES have going for them are the myriad of bottled hot sauces that you can try, apparently ranging in scale from "1," which is ridiculously mild - almost sweet, to an "8." Yeah, some of those will get your attention while others have you asking, "This is an '8'?" because it has that slow build-up that keeps building and building..... Good sauces. Otherwise, again, it's a typical, cookie-cutter franchise with the packaged chips, cookies and soft drinks. customer service support for the firehouse app sucks. after all the back n forth communication and technical support the asians didn't understood what I'd said on the 23rd because I got an email saying that I can't change my birthdate and that is not what I needed help with. Second call to the support I was told she didn't understand what I'd just tried finish explaining to her and told her to transfer my call to someone that did. She said yes I do and never got anyone else. This is why their restaurants aren't doing good "poor customer service". mission was closed down because employees were rude and hide. Phar location there in a busy intersection and it is still having the same issues. Is it management maybe. corpus is another one. they 6 employees on a day I went in. ordered online was promised in 15 showed up, a few people were there never got my order even after new orders came in. they were to busy cleaning the restaurant while one employee was busy doing the cooking. I had a disappointing meal at Firehouse a while back so I've stayed away but tonight, after a really bad day, I decided I needed a Hook & Ladder. We ordered through Favor and man WHAT a pleasant surprise. My Hook & Ladder was PERFECTION and made exactly how I asked for it. My husband's meatball sub was delicious and he said it really hit the spot. Cookies were delicious. Hot and fresh subs with tons of meat and that good bread. I'm not a sub snob and I do enjoy Subway from time to time but when I want a top shelf sub, it's Firehouse all the way. They may cost a little more but they are so worth it. read more

I've been going to Firehouse, since I've been moving around a bit. I started going in Jacksonville, FL last summer. I THOUGHT I signed up for their rewards program. I've been entering my phone number to get rewards for purchases for several months. Today, I was informed that I don't have an account. I've spent hundreds of dollars in several locations. When I asked if they could find out what's going on or help me with an account, I was told I had to go on line, call the 800 number or download the app. No one in the store was willing to help. I called the 800 number and spoke with a manager. She confirmed that I did not have an account. When I asked if I could get credit for my purchases, I was told that they could add a few points and I could, "take it or leave it". I told her that they just lost a customer. Initially, when this location was first opened, I would've rated this place better. However, there were some slight changes that I noticed over time. The first couple of times that I went, the portions were huge! The staff always greeted you as you entered the door and checked up on you occasionally while you were dining in. The location is well kept and has a nice atmosphere. I got the tuna salad sub and there was quite a large helping of tuna that came with it. Though a bit pricier than most sub places, it was definitely worth paying a bit more for the delicious variety of subs that they provide. Over time, I noticed that the portions started getting smaller, almost to a point to where an entire sub barely kept me satiated. The staff became a bit less friendly - no more greetings or good customer service. Maybe it's because they needed to cut back on food costs or hired less friendly employees at this location, but it's definitely deterred me from going back and I've been going to other places for subs lately. read more

Since my last review, we've given Firehouse a second chance and I can say we've been quite happy with the food. However, Firehouse has now decided to put up a piece of paper barring law-abiding citizens from carrying concealed firearms in their store for self defense. Obviously a piece of paper won't stop anyone with criminal intent, so this sign only serves to make innocent people defenseless on the restaurants premises. Thus, my family and I won't be patronizing this store anymore. My friends, who also care about their right to self defense, will be made aware of Firehouse's decision any time they suggest we eat there. read more

It's been a few days since my visit here. But I went in for a late lunch and there weren't many in the dining room. I was greeted at the door by the counter staff and was able to place my order immediately. I ordered the Hook and Ladder Light sandwich and some chips and soda. Another one of the "mix your own" Coke dispensers. If there's no crowd, there's usually no problem. It's when there IS a crowd, there's some people who have a difficult time figuring it out...or someone is wanting to do custom mixes and taking up a lot of time. That's definitely a sidebar story. Order came out, the sandwich was great (I will definitely order again) and I will be back. Between me and the reader....I prefer ordering my sandwich and going on to my table instead of having to stand there and order ingredient by ingredient.
