Haven't visited a McAlister's in quite awhile, so I figured why not. Got the McAlister's club- everything was pretty good. The meat tasted fresh, the bread was lightly toasted, the bacon was bacony and overall the sandwich was a decent size. Had mac n cheese as the side and that was creamy and delicious. Taking the order to-go, they even wrapped the mac n cheese cup with plastic wrap to avoid any spillage. That doesn't seem like a big deal, but it's the small details that count. Restaurant was clean, staff was friendly. No complaints here! read more

I couldn't decide if I wanted a sandwich or baked potato for lunch.  So I went with the Choose 2 option.  With the Choose 2 option, you get to choose 2 of the following options - a half shareable, half salad, cup of soup, half spud, or half sandwich. This is really good for people like me who couldn't decide on what to have for lunch today - a sandwich or baked potato.  With the choose 2 option, I get both!! :)  They are half orders of each though, but that's alright because I get to eat both lol :D I ordered the Spud Max baked potato and a sandwich. The Spud Max comes with ham, turkey, bacon, cheese, black olives, green onions, and butter and sour cream on the side. As for the sandwich, I decided to try something different.  I got the Southwest Turkey Melt.  Comes with turkey bacon, cheese, guacamole, lettuce, and tomatoes on a baguette bread.  The sandwich was alright, but I really liked the baked potato. Baked potato was good!   I also got sweet tea with my order. I'm a fan of their sweet tea. The sweet tea at McAlister's is the best sweet tea ever! It has the right amount of sweetness. I normally wouldn't feel inclined to write a review on a "chain" restaurant but given the scarcity of McAlisters' across Dallas, I only felt it was very appropriate to give my opinion. I was first introduced to McAlister's Deli many years ago during my high school years in my hometown back in East Texas. I felt the sudden urge to revisit this old craving and was amazed I lived 15min away from one location. Although I found it peculiar that this was located in between a wingstop and a taco bell, i didn't let it cloud my vision, and plus it was Addison. The interior definitely was definitely clean, I approached the register and I was greeted nicely, I then ordered the McAlister's club that came with bacon, swiss cheese, cheddar, turkey, and ham. As simple as the sandwich sounds it was executed perfectly, I ordered a mac and cheese as a side and what most people don't know is that you can add bacon bits to it which completes perfection for me. McAlisters is also famous for their sweet tea, hands down the best for two major reasons, its sweet but not syrupy like what you might get at a chicken express. Sweet and smooth is the best description and with the added choice of a lemon, it awakens all the sweetest attributes of the tea. Ultimately, I must go again, given that they have a big menu filled with other sandwiches, clubs, soups and salads. I'll stop here before stopping somewhere fast, given the comparable prices. read more

This is one of my favorite sandwich/salad/soup/whatever you want place. Everything is made fresh when you order, and you don't have to go down an assembly line to get a sandwich prepared. There is a huge variety of items on the menu, and you have the option to order pretty much any way you want to. I love their sandwiches here, and I'm a fan of their potato soup. Their salads are freshly prepared as well, and it doesn't taste like dirt or grass. If you are in the mood for a quick meal, then you should go here. This is a great and quick place for lunch. They are not just limited to sandwiches but they also provide a variety of salads, loaded potato spuds, and soup. I enjoy the great customer service and how flexible they are with making changes to their menu. I ordered the Pecanberry Salad and Roasted Vegetable Soup. The salad had strawberries and blueberries topped with grilled chicken breast and candied pecans. It also came with a light berry vinaigrette that complemented the salad perfect. Each bite was very refreshing and fresh. It was a large portion so I was only able to eat half. The Roasted Veggie Soup had a combo of vegetables in it and was hearty. There was great flavor to it and I really liked how chunky the soup was. That on its own could have been a meal lol. Also the ice tea is enormous and quenched my thirst! After you order they give you a number and you can relax at any of the tables and they will deliver your food to you. The restaurant is spacious so it is not hard to find a place to sit-down. The service was excellent and the food came out fast. I did not have to wait long at all. Great quality food for a quick bite! I've heard lots of things about the food here. So, I finally said it's time. Plenty of parking is always a plus. There aren't a lot of tables with seating for a group larger than 5 but that's ok. Being that it was our first time there, we needed a minute to glance over the menu. The young lady behind the register seemed somewhat irritated that we took our time. After placing our orders, the young lady walked away after tossing my receipt on the counter. Not cool at all.. Another worker gave us our drinks. The food arrived to the table faster than expected- another plus The nachos were delicious! Just the right amounts of cheese, guacamole and sour cream. The meat had a chilli type of taste to it. Something new, not to bad. The Orange Cranberry Turkey Club was ok. The sauce (yummy) was a bit overwhelming and made my bread soggy. Everytime I took a bite, pieces of bread fell onto the plate. My daughter loves pb & js but the one we ordered had way way to much jelly on it and her bread wasn't the freshest. I proceeded to give the cashier my $3 survey coupon/receipt and was told I could not use it. Then he proceeded to repeat the total of my order. I always come here. The jalapeño turkey crunch sandwich is the best! I alway pick the Broccoli cheddar soup as a side which is normally thick and creamy. But today 8-6-22 the soup was so watered down I was able to drink it . So disappointing! I've heard of stretching soups but this was absolutely ridiculous. Ordered curbside service, proceeded to the restaurant, called the number on the sign for curbside service... the phone rang for a full 1and 1/2 minutes before someone answered. The gentlemen said ok great found your order, will be right out. I sat outside for about 15 minutes (I know, not smart on my part). I was trying to be sympathetic that maybe he/she was working the register and it was taking a minute because they were busy. When I saw that the restaurant was completely empty and still no one was coming out with my order, I went in only to find my meal sitting getting cold on the to-go shelf but other curbside meals were on the counter with the cashier. There was no intention of them bringing the food to the car. Don't offer curbside service if you are not willing or able to fulfill the service. As stated food was cold, did not get sour cream on the potato as requested, didn't get the ranch dressing for the salad that was requested. So my order was incorrect and I didn't receive service :-( read more

I placed an order for curbside pick up which was supposed to be done at 6:36 PM. Upon arrival there was already a car in the one curbside parking place. At this writing this person is still waiting. It is now 6:57 PM and I have not gotten my food in spite of letting them know via app that I am here. Also I called twice and no one answered either time. Food is good, I enjoy eating the variety of food here. However, the one thing I would not recommend getting is their McAllister club sandwich. It is very plain and not worth it. The reason for two stars is on my last visit my salad dressing bowl was dirty. I could smear off the brown spots on the bowl. Will visit once more and pay attention more to how clean the plates and box Edit: Management reached out and apologized. Gave it a second shot after the response and food turned out good and clean. So disappointing. I have ordered the veggie sandwich (on gf bread) and was really excited about it because of the description and picture on the website. It was supposed to have spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes, balsamic onions, peppers, avocado and herb mayo. What I received wasn't anything like the description or the picture. PARENTS TASTE YOUR KIDS FOOD FROM THE KIDS MENU. The Cheese Toastie looks like a delicious grilled cheese, but it's not! It's 2 pieces of DRY toast with cheese melted in the microwave! It's very dry and disgusting. The cheese was burnt on the inside but not the bread!? The kids menu food is terrible. Wish I had tasted it earlier but the kids didn't complain. I normally love McAllisters however my husband and I ordered online today and went to pick it up through the drive thru. We both ordered a sandwich, chips, Mac and cheese and a pickle. Our macaroni cups were less than half full, our sandwiches were literally thrown into the box nothing was put together and we didn't get our chips with our meal.
