Rustic Italian sliced and taken home
    Mike E.

Had a chicken tarragon sandwich on baguette today and it was very good. Also too home a loaf of rustic Italian (the Milano) and it's also very good. If you live in Addison you should be buying your bread here instead of the grocery store. Or at least for special occasions / having guests. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This is a quaint spot tucked away. The service is lovely. Most of the menu is available all day and the the order turnaround is relatively quick. They have full sized desserts you can't take home as well as personal sizes. They seem to have lots of patrons they know by name. The bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen looked clean as well. I was surprised to see a roach in the dining area. It happens, just makes one nervous pertaining to food preparation.

How could I possibly have missed this place after living so many years in the town of addison? It is amazing! The food is fabulous. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. The people are so kind. And they have everything to eat from pastries and cakes and muffins to sandwiches, salads, pizza, pasta, and soups! Fernanda was super kind and share it all about what was available at the bakery. We tried the cedar salad with grilled salmon and the lemon chicken piccata with angel hair pasta. We also bought the most fabulous fresh sourdough bread and a raspberry scone with a drizzle of icing. We are super impressed! Absolutely La Spiga is a new favorite!

La Spiga is one of those places you take people when they want to experience the hidden parts of DFW. Great food, huge portions. Friendly service. And, it's just a nice local hole-in-the-wall place. We also stop there to pick up a loaf of sourdough every so often. Highly recommend.

I had to come back for lunch.... I LOVE LA SPIGA!!! Brought my picky little sister and she has approved! I got the chicken salad sandwhich and it was so light but filling! We were eating and had kitchen staff come by to see how we enjoyed our food. I will swear by this place up and down!!! The best staff and the best food.

This spot is so unassuming and near a few repair shops. I came here with a few coworkers and as soon as we entered, we were all greeted by an employee behind the register. There were a few "daily" specials on a board near the register and a menu on the wall that broke down the different combos and menu items. I also noticed a menu to the right of the entrance where you could get coffee and an area where you can get cakes/pastries. I asked them at the front what they recommended and they asked what items I was leaning towards. I indicated that I'd like a sandwich. She asked if I'd like to do a combo rather than just a sandwich so I decided on getting Tomato Basil Soup and a Chicken Tarragon Sandwich. The quantity of food our group received for the price we paid was so good. Some members of our group had nearly 2 meals from what we were given. They also provided a small plate of different types of bread for our group like sourdough, ciabatta, and jalapeño cornbread. Anyways, the sandwich was quite large and the soup was warm and tasty. I definitely want to go back to try their pastries and coffee, and maybe even a slice of cake. I recommend you stop by and give them a try!

We started with the meatballs and a salad each (Caesar and Arugula) Salads were fresh and the waiter said they used all organic produce. The red sauce on the meatballs was absolutely perfect. We actually requested a side of it for the focaccia, which was the only thing we got that we didn't love. Mains were good size, price & quality wise. Even though we didn't need it, we both got dessert. The tiramisu was exactly what my BF wanted it to be. I had a banana cream pie thing that was also super good. They're also recognized for their wine list and we had 2 bottles we were really happy with. Overall a great experience! Wish we lived here to become regulars here.

The menu had lots of good appetizers, pasta, meat, chicken and seafood dishes. Of course there was great collection of wines as well. For appetizers, we got the lobster tails, calamari, mozzarella caprese and focaccia. The lobster tail was incredible, tasted so good with the butter sauce. Rest of the dishes were also amazing. For entree I picked the copping antonio (seafood in spicy tomato sauce). It was another marvelous dish, filled with lots of fish, shrimp, mussels, clamps, mixed it a delicious sauce, that had some kick but wasn't too spicy either. The toasted best was the perfect side to sip in the sauce with the seafood. Loved it. We also got some desserts that were equally top quality. The service wonderful throughout the dinner. They assisted with pouring wine, filling up water, and constantly cleaning out the empty plates and dishes. The dishes came out in short intervals. Overall it was an exceptional dinner experience. Everyone walked with with a fully tummy and a happy heart :)

It's a family-owned Italian restaurant, and you can truly feel that warm, welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The staff was friendly, attentive, and everything felt clean and well taken care of. We started with the baked clams, which were prepared almost like escargot so flavorful and delicious. Then we had the carpaccio, which was super fresh and very well done. We tried the Caesar salad was fresh & tasty. For my main dish, I ordered the cartoccio, served wrapped in foil with pasta and mushrooms... and wow, it was incredible. So rich, so flavorful definitely a must-try. My boyfriend had the Siciliana with Alfredo pasta, and it was perfectly seasoned and very tasty. We also enjoyed a dirty martini to start (perfectly made), and ended up having a few bottles of wine their wine selection is extensive, and you can tell they really know what they're offering. One thing we loved was that the owners personally go table to table to check on guests. That personal touch really makes a difference. Overall, such a great experience. Delicious food, great service, and a cozy family-owned feel. We will definitely be back.

Despite good food, however, I cannot recommend as this was a poor performance for a more upscale restaurant. Starting with the food, bread was brought to the table with packets of butter such as you would find a a diner rather than a tub which I thought was strange for a place with these prices. A calamari appetizer was very good with a scattering of jalapeno slices thrown in. The squid was properly cooked and tender rather than chewy. Drinks were good including an Italian Margareta and old fashion. Served in interesting glasses but with indifferent garnishes. I can't comment on the wine selection as we really never had a chance to order a bottle. My veal prosciutto was excellent with artichoke hearts and a pasta side. My wife was very impressed with the Cod Andiamo and veal piccata was equally good. Did not order desserts as we seldom saw our waiter. And thereby lies the problem. We waited 15 minutes before being greeted by our waiter. After apps were delivered we did not see him again for quite a while. He rushed off after taking our order so never had a chance to order wine. My gold standard for this level of Italian is Kenny's nearby and, although the food was good, the overall experience fell far short of expectations. Perhaps they were short staffed but I'm reluctant to give them a second chance. Kenny's is less expensive, equal or better food, reasonable wine and drink prices and great service. Andiamo's fell short in all but food quality
