I came in here for lunch after stumbling in from the nearby car wash. There was a line and I could tell I was in the right place. The menu is written in chalk and gives an old school feel. I'd gotten a turkey sub toasted & added cherry peppers & tried their in house lemonade. The lemonade was alright but the sub was truly the show. The owner was there at the end ringing me up and encouraged my sub choices, followed by "kid". He was so sweet and just grand pa coded. The sub was So deli style and delicious. Bread was great. Forget the chain shops. Jersey Joe's in Addison is the real deal. This is what a sub sandwich should taste like. I went with the turkey pastrami and provolone on white bread, fixed up the Italian way, and it was outstanding. The bread was fresh and chewy, the pastrami had that perfect balance of flavor without being greasy, and the dressings gave it just the right kick. Every bite reminded me why you go to a local shop instead of settling for the cookie-cutter stuff down the street. The service here is top-notch too--warm, friendly, and fast. Service: 10/10 Hoagie (y'all say sub): 7/10, bread was a bit tough but the meat quality was good, which is always a concern for me Con: I added a cup of potato salad to the order --to charge over $2 in this economy & not fill the cup up is INSANE. I had never been to shop and may never return. I walked in and ordered a Reuben. I asked if I can *see* how much corned beef would be on the sandwhich. The person said 4 ounces. I tried to clarify that I needed to SEE the amount. The person gave me grief and made it clear that it would be an inconvenience to him to heat up the meat and put it on the hoagie only to have me sake for more. Last time I checked the customer is there to be served. We are not there to make the life of the employees easier. On top of that, the employee gave me attitude for my request. It was clear that he didn't understand that some people need to visually see the amount of food in order to make a decision. What infuriated me the most was his clearly giving me attitude making me feel crazy for making such a request and making me feel looked down upon for it. Even when I acquiesced and simple told him to make the sandwich as-is, he STILL gave me attitude. He should have simply parked the attitude and made my sandwich. I left as if I had stayed there would have been profanity. A customer should not have to FIGHT with an employee to convince the employee to fulfill a reasonable request. The photo below is of the meal that I did have where the staff is well known for serving their customers. I want it to be clear to the other just how much that employee's attitude directly impact his or her bottom line. I was more than happy and fully prepared to but a sandwich until I encountered that employee and his piss pour attitude toward me, a paying customer. read more

I absolutely love this Deli. If I need to grab lunch during my work day this place is at the top of my list. Nothing beats a local run sandwich shop. I always go with the Italian combo and add banana peppers. Sometimes I even get lucky and it is the sandwich meal deal of the day. My few tips: they have house made pickled items including dill pickles and green tomatoes. Also they have the best fresh squeezed lemonade. If Joe is there definitely say hi! We got 3 sandwiches from Jersey Joes, the big Joe, chicken salad and the hot pastrami Swiss and hot mustard. All the sandwiches were great but the hot pastrami was by far the best! The only slight negative was the pasta salad and potato salad, they had a slight plastic taste. Maybe it was a bad batch but I would still 100% recommend jersey joes for the sandwiches! read more

Daughter just had a beautiful baby boy and all she wanted was a Jersey Joe peppered beef and a separate peppered turkey. Done Joe's way. She hasn't had a sandwich in 8 months and by golly she wanted the best from the best. Yep. Grandpa knows fresh sliced quality meat hoagie style and taught that to his daughter. Now she gets to teach her new son what a great sandwich tastes like! Life is like a sandwich. Deeply layered, put together, always refreshing. It's mobile for walking through a park or comfort for the hard times. I have made many friends in Jersey. Good people. Great food. They are hard working and family is everything to them. Good to have a piece of Jersey here in North Texas. Pictured below is the number 11 made Joes way. Meaty goodness. Didn't get a picture of my daughters 2 sandwiches. They play The Smiths and they've got Marilyn on the wall. Such a cool place. I love that this is a hyperlocal place run by the same guy for decades. Everything we've had here has been seriously delicious; I'm a big fan of their Italian sandwich in particular. Their chips are high quality and not big basic brand name chips, and same goes for their sodas. When you come here you feel like you're entering a mom and pop shop, and that just puts it over the top for me. OH! This place has been under my nose but I always scoffed at it when I passed by. Another sandwich place. Nothing special about that I thought. I finally told myself to check it them out. There are tables out front before you walk in. When you do get in, you can tell this is nothing like the "other guys". Fresh deli meat sliced in view, quality toppings and super friendly guys. They have alot of sandwiches and a daily special so, don't be scared to try something different. It wasn't too busy when I went in, but I was really surprised how nice they were and that they gave me their full attention. They made me at home and it was only my first time. They told me that they catered and even had something called a half pickle?! It's like a cucumber that's not quite a pickle that's not quite a cucumber? They let me try it and it was pretty good. It doesn't have that sourness like a pickle, yet you can taste the cool flavor of the cucumber. I'd love to come here more often but I wish it was a dollar cheaper to be more competitive. read more
