Tried this location twice and both times were a fail. Unorganized self taught incompetent staff without a clue how to operate a restaurant. The food is overpriced and mediocre at best. This is their herald "Spud Max" roadkill Spud.. Looks like it had been run over everyone laughed... Old Potato came out 15 min after the rest of our food, this is a sad lack of ingredients Potato , it had 4 black olives, and 5 green onions... Look at their photo.. Then mine .... Rarely do I amend my reviews can't say I had a choice. After eating we sat around discussing what we liked(being our first visit). None of us were wow'd or had some memorable flavor, in fact of the 3 entrees they all lacked a bit of flavor. Was just ehh. I tried asking for onions to add something to my baked. I waited at the counter for several minutes while the two cashiers were talking back to the head grill person (black garment) who oddly enough was facing me. I would have thought she would have said, " y'all customer behind you" but I finally said excuse me... Only red onion to choose from. Did not solve My Kryptonited Spud. After leaving, Spud Max left an earthy over cooked flavor. Need to salt that skin y'all. You're in Texas! Look at that photo of my spud. It looks like it had been run over lol We don't serve that in Texas. And green onions on the tomato soup? Mac n cheese side was good! But not enough to sway when jimmy and Firehouse are within walking. I used to love McAlister's in college (Waco). I ate it several times a week. Fast forward 15 years....this place has gone way downhill. I ordered a King Club and potato soup today. My soup tasted gritty. The bacon on top tasted like the microwave bacon. It used to be crispy and smokey years ago. Then, as I ate my sandwich, I felt like there was paper in between my teeth. I spit a bite of sandwich out, but didn't find anything with that particular bite. The sandwich didn't taste bad, so I kept eating it. I kept feeling something tickled my throat, it tasted like paper. I coughed but again, nothing came up. Fast forward an hour or so....I had horrible stomach pain. I was sweating and nauseous. Then, I vomited so hard. All of my sandwich and soup contents expelled in the toilet. As I sat, hugging the toilet, I see something sticking out of the contents. I'm in healthcare, so I gloved up and took the mysterious "thing" out of the toilet. It was a palm size of wax paper! I even took a pic of it. I will save you from the horror. I just paid for 3 sandwiches, it was delivered by Door Dash, meaning I paid more for them for the connivence. Sadly I will never order from them again. Not one of the sandwiches were correct. We didn't even order and changed, or add anything. My grand daughters BLT+ A didn't have the avacado. My grand sons Ham and cheese didn't have cheese. My Rueben didn't have thousand island or sourcraut. So not worth 36.00 for three sandwiches at all. read more

This was a disaster of business affecting proportions. I contacted Edrick Shelby, GM of this chain 3 days ago to make an important order for a major client. I even confirmed the order 2 days ago with Edrick Shelby directly to ensure it was in their system. Order for 20 sandwiches was to be picked up at 11 a.m., I was there at 10:45. Mr. Edrick Shelby didn't even tell his people the order was placed. So I was told it would be 20 to 25 minutes. 1.5 hours later I got my food, watching many others get their pick up orders placed upon arrival. So what is Edrick Shelby's solution? Well Mr. Shelby let me tell you what your 10% and a cookie got me. 20 hard working men not getting their lunch during their prescribed lunch hour. The food is always great but their customer service could improve. Maybe it's better if you are dining in, but it was extremely lacking for order pick-up. There was no greeting or acknowledgement by the cashier, nor did they even smile when I said "thank you" upon receiving my order, just blank stares. Maybe this crew isn't used to dealing with polite customers, so I'll try to give them the benefit of the doubt this time. So...I ordered through their app and it had choices for pick up and delivery. I selected the delivery option. MInd you, it didnt say anything about third party delivery nor order at the risk of someone just coming to pick up and order because they have no way of tracking who picks up the order (Doordash/Uber). After my order, I called the store to update my contact information and was told that I didn't need to do that because I'd already paid. Time went by and I hadn't received my order. I called back and spoke with the manager. She told me that she didn't know who took my food and I needed to call Doordash. Went to call door dash and was unable to find a direct number. Checked my email and it stated that my order was delivered...called my apartment office and the manager stated that the food was left outside. Since it has been outside, on the ground for at least 30 minutes, I wasn't eating it. So, I'm left hungry. I used my rewards that I had and was told that I could only get pack a portion of my money. I used to love them but I will not return to that location again. Still don't know if I'm getting even part of my money back. This is terrible. read more

Can't review the quality of food because we never received service. 8 people or so were waiting for takeout when we walked in; three groups in line before us. None of the ones waiting had received food and were getting frustrated. Waited in line 15 minutes. When we finally got to the counter, the employee there walked off without speaking. Another employee walked up and stood facing the kitchen. No employee of the place ever acknowledged our presence. The employees had no sense of customer service or of urgency. We walked out and crossed the street to Firehouse Subs, which I strongly recommend. I am also sending this review to corporate. So, so disappointed. read more

Just average. Clean and the food was brought out very quickly. Staff is friendly. I came at non-peak hours though. The meat on my Italian sandwich was burnt and my Ceaser salad had too much dressing but overall it was okay. Likely won't return though. There are better options in the area. read more

My third visit was on 8/6 there of us are and had baked potatoes, the potatoes were old and we all got sick in the Kroger store before we went home right after eating. I called the manager and he said he would talk with the staff about serving old potatoes and for us to come back in. Went in around the 25th of October and had a good experience but did not notify the manager and we paid for our food. This most recent visit December 21 at 4:50pm I figured it was dinner time and the potatoes would be fresh, well it was hidden with gobs of cheese and you did not find out your potato was old till you got to the bottom of the potato where the skin was burnt and dried out. Also the bacon on both of our spuds were raw, bacon should be crisp, not stringy and opaque. But you have to uncover it through all the cheese. Again got sick from eating here. There never seems to be a manager here, when we pointed out the bacon we got the money back for the bacon, all she said was how sorry she was, but really should have been compensated for the entire meal. Its a shame, this place has some potential, but is going downhill from the start. Out of my 5 visits, 2 were good, 1 was a salad, it was delicious, my advise, don't order bacon or potatoes and if you do, check the bottom first to make sure it's not burnt to a crisp. Best McAlister's I've been to. Bessie took our order and was super friendly and able to suggest something delicious for my husband. Several people came around to check on us and make sure we were doing ok. I accidentally ordered a coke because I forgot how tasty the tea was but Bessie came around to check on us at the end of our meal and offered to get me a tea without hesitation. Friendly, fast service and great food. We'll definitely be back! read more

Have fond memories of McAllisters which were disappointed by this place. My wife ordered a veggie sandwich, which first arrived without the cucumber and then with inch chunks. Made from mature lettuce leaves and large chunks was inedible and left. I had a mediocre toasted roast beef with not much beef and grilled nearly flat. We will not be back. read more

Let's start with the awesome staff! They perfect the brand name with their attitude and wholesome sincerity of making you feel like a valuable customer just by walking thru the door. Their eagerness to suggest their favorites was a plus. The manager also came by to greet and check in our table. Next up, the food. My choice was the the Savanna chopped salad. The abundance of chicken was just the right. No need to play hide and seek for the chicken because "BAM" it was right there and everywhere thru out every bite. My husbands club had the perfect amount of meat for a big guy. My mango tea was sweet and cold and you could actually taste the mango in it. We will definitely be back. read more

I know this location recently opened so I'll give them a break, but it took over 20 minutes for me to get my to go order consisting of 1 sandwhich and 1 potato. With that said, the food is very tasty and the staff was VERY helpful!! I was holding my sleeping son waiting for our food and the girl at the counter saw he dropped his pacifier while she was helping another customer. After she finished their order she came around the counter and asked if I wanted her to wash it off. It's the little things like that when people go above and beyond their job that makes the difference! Hopefully with time this location can pick up the pace, but other than that no complaints here and we will definitely be back! read more

If I could give no stars I would. Everybody's experience is different and ours wasn't good. First off it was our first time there, right from the start it was crappy service. The cashier (the black chick with glasses and tiny dreads) was rude and very short with us. She acted like we were wasting her precious time. The green tea my husband ordered wasn't even green tea. It was weak regular tea that had no flavor and very much watered down. The diet dp was nasty and was no where near dp. So we ordered and took our seats. The food they brought was disappointing. They got my husband's order wrong from the get go and mine consisted of wilted lettuce and dry bread that had been toasted hours earlier. The only decent thing was the very tiny amount of potato salad they gave me. I was so pissed. When my husband finally got his order the pickle was tiny and had dark spots on it and the red onion were cut in big chunks he had to take em out of the sandwich. We will never step food in there again. They try to cover bad food and service with fancy plates and loud lame music. I'll stick with Jimmy John's #14 and awesome delicious pickles. read more
