Messed up my 1 sandwich order twice. All I asked for was no mayo and no onions. Only 1 other car in the drive thru. Crazy

Back then, I believe we used to have a flyer/menu from them that some employees ordered from. I visited on a cold day where most of the customers were taking their orders to-go. The setup is a little confusing at first, but you just go down the serving line and stop when someone asks you for your order. You can get a tray, or not, depending on how many plates or dishes you ordered. The ready area (for dine-in customers) is weirdly placed in the middle of the line and the spot for to-go orders is at the end of the line next to the last register. Once your order has been places, you grab the ticket and take it to a register. This setup reminds me of a little local deli I used to visit regular in Stafford. I will say that their selection of hot sandwiches and specialty sandwiches is limited. Most are 1 protein only which is probably how they can keep their prices so low. I asked the order taker if you could customize or make a hot roast beef sandwich or toast it and first she didn't understand me, then she just repeated the two hot sandwich options from the menu. I again asked can you make the sandwich toasted, then she said yes. The sandwich, by default, comes on French bread. I wasn't familiar enough with the menu to pick another bread so I just stuck with French. I chose provolone cheese. It comes out after a few mins and it's nicely toasted and ended up being a nice size sandwich with an adequate meat to bun ratio. The sandwich also comes with a pickle spear. I also added a cup of homemade chili which is pretty decent. The meat is finely ground and I prefer it to be more coarse, but the flavor was good. All of their entrees and side dishes have low prices. One of the best deals is the "classic" sandwich which comes with prosciutto. An even better deal may be their baked potatoes with 4 toppings for only $2.09 weekdays!

Firehouse Subs - Supposed to be a meatball sandwich on wheat bread. Looks like garbage!

The menu was easy to read and order from. The cashier Juanita was very friendly and personable, as well as the rest of the crew. My biggest complaint was that Jaunita had her pants half way down her butt, and was showing her underwear. This is not professional, sanitary, or representative of the rest of my experience. I have seen this trend slipping into other establishments and it needs to be called out. Also the open sign and doors were locked 9 minutes before published closing time. Overall great experience

Once she started to eat the sub she took a bite out of it and that's when she pulled out a long piece of "BLACK HAIR", mid bite. Of course disappointed and disgusted she immediately stopped eating and threw the sub away. Due to the job that I work I don't have my phone on me at all times, once I was able to go check my phone and call firehouse about the issue they were closed by 10pm. Also I work overnight, when I got off the next morning I looked to see when does the store open which is at 11am , this is the Firehouse Subs Atascocita location . I called and asked to speak with a manager , I then Spoke with Manager Steve . I explained to him the issue and concern that I had with my order the night prior and he stated that, " I needed to bring the sub in so that they can inspect it in order for them to remake it and in the event that something like this happens I need to call them and let them know. I explained that I work overnight and that the sub was discarded and that I always order from here and never have I've ever had an issue like this. He then proceeds to say that it's there policy that I call immediately and bring in the sub only to get a remake of the sub. I said that I don't want a remake I would like a refund for that sub, mind you I ordered 3 subs and only 1 had "HAIR" in it . I was only requesting a refund for the one sub. He then says I definitely wouldn't get a refund because they have to have proof of purchase , as if my order number and receipt isn't proof enough because I no longer have the sub. I then ask why is it not listed on the receipt that's they're policy to do all these things and not discard of the item if they're is an issue with someone's order. He states that we don't have to list that on the receipt , how would someone know to do something if it isn't marked or said anywhere for the customer to know to do it. I then asked can I get the corporate number he tells me he is corporate for that location and that he's the only one to talk to. He was very unprofessional and didn't care about making the situation right, but instead immediately went into a defensive tone of voice. I then asked why weren't the staff wearing hair nets and he stated that they did have on hair nets. I assured him that when I picked up my order the night before at least 3 staff members who was making orders didn't have on hair nets. They had on hats but not hair nets . So much so there is a Caucasian employee who has flowy long hair , that wasn't tied back make customers orders. He then brush's me off and says there is nothing that he can do and that I could have a great and hung up. I'm writing this review to raise awareness for this location, this is the first time this has happened to me at this location and the disrespect and lack of respect from this manager should be dealt with . You shouldn't eat at this location because cleanliness is everything and the staff is going to do everything but reassure you or help you with an issues .
