The Food is amazing the Service is MOSTLY awesome Management is great. if there ever is a problem Ms. Jillian and Ms. Sierra, will usually help to resolve the issue, its a shame we have these issues, but normally its fine. The staff is amazing they can carry full conversations while still nailing their tasks, Usually... but there is a bunch of great cashiers, a nice shorter lady named Mikaela who always has such great accuracy with her orders and is always willing to help as a server, the Dishes are always prestine, and one of the Servers is working himself to death on a daily basis, always has a smile on his face, sometimes Mikey goes into the back for long periods of time, and comes out covered in food, and wearing an apron, so I guess he's doing alot, here lately Michaela and Mikey have been working hard as servers, they have been so busy, it almost hurts to see how hard it is, but their work is commendable, here lately though Nightshift has been goofing off, pretty bad, there is one Server doing all the orders, and the girls are just talking, one of them came back to help but when there busy, the rest of them need to do their job. Other honorable mentions include, Their amazing BLT+A, Savanna Salad, and there Cinnabon cookies, its a shame that their Steak and Mushroom sandwich isn't in stock anymore. A decent amount of the staff is multi talented and help out even if they aren't supposed too, a bigger guy named Kevin is in the back alot lately but he's also been a cashier and server, Mikey is bouncing from Front, Back, and Side very frequently, and a Girl with Black hair, named Sarah, does a commendable job in the back, but ive seen her helping Mikey alot too, not sure if she is trained to do that, but she is amazing at it! Back to the food my go two is a Sweet Chipotle Chicken with a side of Mac and Cheese. So good... TLDR: Management is amazing, staff is amazing and even when they are busy people like Mikey and Mikaela don't ever give up, and overall pleased with Kevin, Sarah, and the rest for the last 4 months I've been eating here. This business has zero respect for the customer. They totally screwed up my breakfast appointment by delivering the food 45 minutes early. I wasn't contacted in any way, shape or form about the change. When I spoke to Kevin the manager, he blamed it on DoorDash delivery stipulating what time they would pick up the food. Again, once they knew the food was going to have to be delivered earlier, they could've contacted me for pick up. But I was not given that option. If you would like your schedule to be stipulated by delivery drivers versus your needs, feel free to order from this hack restaurant. Had the pick two. The potatoes soup was fantastic and it came warm. They double wrapped the soup to prevent leaks. Had the beef dip sandwich. OMG so good the beef is thick grilled strips. I am from Hawaii and my sister said I had to try this place. I thought it was odd to order first, pay, get a number and wait for it. Anyways we got artichoke dip with chips, broccoli and cheese soup and 1/2 and 1/2 grilled sandwich of sweet chipotle chicken and spicy southwestern chicken and McAlister's Famous Sweet Tea™. McAlister's is one of my favorite restaurants but lately they have been slacking. It was messed up I literally went into this place and they didn't care to take my order even if it was before 10pm, the girls were busy talking to each other they said we be with you in a minute, I said ok. they finally addressed me after standing there for a few minutes to tell me they were closed, tell me why make me wait for that????they locked the door after I got out they still serve the two people in front of me, it was a total of 3 people in-line and I was the only one they refuse to serve.. if I could leave 0 stars I would, if you are closed have the curtesy to wait till actual closing time and don't let customers in lock your door at the correct time instead of having a customer wait on you just to turn them away. read more

This was my go to deli for pickup and delivery until today. Unable to leave my office so ordered a salad to be delivered, delivered by door dash on-time. Opened the container no salad dressing, called the store and the response was to call door dash, told them their kitchen messes up the order so why would I have to call the delivery service when it was their problem. My family absolutely loves McAllister's. There's always something on the menu that will appeal to everyone, even the pickiest of kids. Believe it or not, my kids actually request this place more than they ask for fast food when we're out! The service is pretty good. I've never had a problem with them. They've always been very helpful when we've had questions or wanted to change some things around. For the longest time my daughter was very picky, which made going out to eat challenging at best, but they were always willing to do what they could to work with us. The food has always been good. They've taken a few of my favorites off the menu in the past couple of years, but I've always been able to find something I like. It's nice that they have big filling meals because my boyfriend eats a lot! Even the kids' meals are decent sized, which is good because my kids are usually still hungry after your average kids' meals at most places that aren't classic sit-down restaurants. So far we've never had a complaint. The atmosphere is really nice. The kids love sitting in different areas to check out all the pictures up on the walls. It's nice to see the military pictures scattered on the walls given it's a military town. The kids especially love the bartop tables and chairs. Outdoor seating is also a big hit with my family, given it's one of the few places with decent outdoor seating in the area that we've found. The kids are always begging to eat outside! On top of that, the place has always been spotless and clean. What I like most about this place is it's never loud or incredibly busy. We never have to wait long to place our order, which is great for the kids. They've always got music going, but it's quiet enough that you can tune it out if it's not to your tastes. I've never had a problem finding a spot away from the other patrons so the kids don't bother anyone else. I'm sure everyone knows how kids can be in a restaurant! Finally, for those it would matter to, McAllister's also offers a military discount, which was one of the reason my friend and I would go there for our weekly lunches when both of our husbands were deployed. I'm separated from my husband now, so the military discount doesn't mean much to me, but it's good to know for soldiers and their families. She'd never eaten there before either so suffice it to say, it was a very precious, cherry-popping moment when we walked into the store. Okay, that was a very bad thing to say. Tongue-in-cheek. Anyway - she ordered ... I don't remember what she ordered. I, on the other hand, ordered the Basil Parmesan Chicken Panini that came with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. And since I was curious as to why everyone was hording it, I ordered some sweet tea as well. Admittedly, I was ready to not like it and prepared myself to wonder if everyone's taste buds were different from my own. But I was wrong. It was pretty good. Pretty great, actually. Was in there eating lunch today 12-31-21, and was so shocked to see a female employee with weave hair to her knees just hanging down. No hair net, no hat, wasn't up in a bun, nothing!! I have never had good service here. Tonight took the cake though. The girl at the counter is chatting up her friend while we all wait in line to order. Then proceeds to go get the manage to give them a discount. The worst part? The manager then chatted up the "customers"-again while everyone waited. The man in front of me left. I finally had to ask another employee passing by to take my order. Another employee, present for all of this, was too busy checking the restroom and adjusting the takeout counter to take anyone's order-obviously wanting to make sure she can leave the second the doors are locked for the night. They were out of menus with food descriptions and apparently decided they didn't need to give customers numbers when they ordered so employees were wandering around trying to figure out where food went. It was the most amazing display of inefficiency I've seen in awhile. Not ten minutes later, the manager is barking orders at the people in the back who are actually working. This totally explains the terrible service in this restaurant as the manager doesn't even try to encourage good service and participates in the bad behavior. The employee taking my order asks if I want lemon in my water. I say no. She hands me water with lemon in it. I ordered ultimate nachos with veggie chili, I get meat chili and have to send it back. I tried McAlister's Deli for a late lunch around 1pm and I was surprised to see how busy it was at this time. I do not like the set up on how you order first then sit down and they deliver it to you to your table. The front area was crowded of customers in three lines waiting to order. We sat down on the table after we ordered. The servers delivering the food to your table constantly walked back and worth the restaurant trying to find the customer when the food was ready. Besides all that, the food was decent. I ordered the half portion special of the southwest turkey melt and grilled chicken salad for $6.49. The price was definitely affordable for the amount of food I got. The sandwich was delicious and the salad was ok. This restaurant reminded me of Panera Bread and I'd rather go to Panera Bread for this type of food. But I would go back here again because it is conveniently located in the Killeen area. read more

I literally go blank every time I see the huge selection of sandwiches (grilled, hot, or classic), potatoes, soups, salads, and kids meals. Also, the customer service is top notch. I have eaten at other McAlisters so I am not new to the restaurant. There service is great. Employees are always making sure your drinks are full once you sit down. The soups and salads are very good. I am addicted to the chicken fajita soup. I do find myself wishing their breads were fresh baked like Panera Bread's. This is probably the healthest place to eat in Killeen and the prices are not bad. Beware that the line to order can get long around 11am. My wallet was stolen out of my car a few months ago and in it was my Reward Card that had 2 more meals to go before I got my free meal. Forgot to take pictures but food and service was fast. The restaurant was clean. They had 4 peoples food order out in less than 15 minutes. Nice casual restaurant with healthy choices for everyone. I also liked that they had combos to order so you could order a little bit of whatever you want from the menu. Their drinks are nice and big so you can order one and be refreshed easily on a hot day.
