Man. What a major bummer it was choosing the French dip (we wanted to try something new). It was salty, chewy, and the dipping sauce tasted like it was left over onion soup. I was thinking it would be completely different and not just a deli sandwich that u dip in French onion soup. It was so salty my tongue hurt the rest of the night, and terrible indigestion. The pickle was better than the sandwich itself. They weren't really enforcing the masks, as a customer was at the counter with no mask on but they were social distancing. First time visiting a McAlister's, it was SO good! The girl at the counter was very nice and gave me enough time to check out the menu. One of our weekly dinner options and never disappoints. Their food is always hot and fresh, tastes great, and most importantly...the employees are friendly! We never get the impression that we are burdening them while ordering and with a couple of picky eaters- EVERYTHING gets customized. *Ugh. Teenagers.* The kids have their own menu and eat free every night! My 9 yo loves herself a cheesey baked potato and says "they have THE BESTEST". I tend to agree, and it is FREE?! The potatoes are normally huge- so usually more than she can finish. I almost always order their combo French dip and a spud ole' or a Southwest chicken salad. Decisions...Decisions! McAlister's has become one of our favorite places when we need a fast but still sit-down meal for the family. For 2 weekends in a row there is poor organization. Today the line is out the door and there is only one person taking orders, however there are 5 other people just standing around behind the counter and at least 5 other people just standing around in the kitchen area. There are at least 5 types of meats that are out of stock, but they don't tell you until you get to the register which delayed the order process even longer. Should have just left, but I ordered only a soup instead. It was good, but it wasn't enough to satisfy my lunch craving, I will try a different location the next time. It didn't look like anyone was in charge. read more

This happened 2 weeks ago, and I would have expected to have heard back from corporate at this point (I submitted my query also on McAlister's website.) We did a group order at my job on a Friday. I do not eat onions. No way, no how. I know that no onion was spoken when the order was placed. The gentleman I got on the phone basically told me that "onion was not entered on the order". The only suggestion "just drive up here and we'll fix it" didn't work for me. No other suggestions to make right we're offered even, to the point where I told him "I'd just figure it out." One of my family's favorite places to eat. The tea is always good, the portions are perfect for the price, and the food is very good. I have yet to have a bad sandwich here, and I've been coming here for years. The soups and spuds are good as well, and the salads are nicely sized. Be prepared to ask for more salad dressing than they'll give you, but they never mind when we ask. Oh and the cookies are the bomb. read more

I would give them less but I have to give a star. From coming in to leaving you can tell the people working there are unhappy. The lady taking our order was less than thrilled to take any orders. She never smiled or acted like she was there to do a job. When I was waiting and watching as all kinds of delivery people were waiting you could tell the staff in the back were not happy. At one time I counted 12 delivery people waiting and all complaining about the wait. The manager helped with bagging the delivery orders at some point because he said it's a bad look. We love this restaurant chain and frequently go to different locations but this location is not up to par by any standards. read more

I LOVE McAlister's!!! Good food at reasonable prices and (having grown up in South Carolina) quite possibly the best sweet tea in the area. I stop here every week on my way home from grocery shopping. I've tried just about everything on the menu, but the French Dip is my sandwich of choice. Add some good potato salad and some sweet tea and you've got a nice meal! They do have good food, but I'm very disappointed that the owner of this store refuses to offer gluten free bread, when corporate leaves it up to franchise owners. Without that option, those of us with gluten sensitivities are left to ordering salads without croutons, salad dressings that we hope are gluten free and baked potatoes. There is money to be made in offering gluten free bread options. All the owner would have to do is dedicate some uncontaminated (cleaned) storage space, train the workers to wear gloves when preparing the sandwiches and teach them about cross-contamination. Jason's deli and Subway can do it. It's not a business killer. read more

I am all about service and when we walked in yesterday we were greeted with big smiles and helpful suggestions. We loved the new berry salad, the chicken salad sandwich and the potato salad is the best.
