The catered boxed lunch from Jason's Deli is a 5/5 for me! The sandwich was completely stacked with roast beef, nearly too thick for me to eat in one bite with the bread density too. The lettuce and tomato on the sandwich were fresh. I loved that the pickle was packaged separately so the sandwich didn't get soggy. The fresh fruit was some of the most ripe I've had from a restaurant. All 3 strawberries were a good size and tasty, the grapes all had a crunch, and the pineapple was juicy. He ordered salad bar, pulled his hand straight out from under that dog and touched every utensil on salad bar without washing hands. I went here because their ad bragged about their Reuban sandwich. If you grew up near NYC or NJ do not go here, the Reuben is nothing but a shaved ham sandwich with sauerkraut. and no pickle? I got a Turkey Reuben on Gluten Free bread with tomato basil soup (also GF). The sandwich had a generous portion of both sauerkraut and meat and it was very good! I had a croissant breakfast sandwich that really needed to be toasted - the croissant was not flaky and while I liked ham as an alternative to bacon or sausage, the ham was cold which probably congealed the egg. When we arrived on this Sunday morning they had been open about 1/2 hour, and most of the people sitting eating were employees. The store was impressively clean. I love the atmosphere at Jason's. It's pretty laid back and homey. The menu at Jason's is enormous, with various types of soups, sandwiches, wraps, baked potatoes, and a sizable salad bar. Each location also has a number of local specialties as well. My personal favorite is the Ranchero Wrap. Your order is placed at a counter (if there's a line you can look at the menu ahead of time), and you get a plastic number to place on the table for order delivery. While you're waiting for your meal you can get your beverage (I recommend the Black Currant iced tea) and, for your snacking pleasure, they also offer a couple types of mini-muffins. For dessert, FREE ice cream! FREE ICE CREAM!! Of course, the ice cream is supposed to come after your meal, but who says you can't sneak a little ahead of your meal, or find a somewhat logical way to work it into your meal? Food delivery times are pretty decent, and it took less than ten minutes for our food to arrive. It was fresh, hot, tasty, and prepared just the way we wanted it. When the food is delivered we were asked if we needed anything else, and our extra napkins were delivered in no time. When you're done with your meal, you can get up and leave. Jason's cleans the tables, so you don't need to take care of a thing. In fact, the staff was busy hustling while we were there, making sure things were ready for the upcoming lunch rush. I have been to this location dozens of times for work catering and lunch pick-up. They also deliver but I haven't done that. The people that work here are always so nice and it is always quick in and out with their pickup shelf. I loved the salad bar pre-covid but all of the sandwich I have had were great! There was either no or minimal dressing as I could not taste it. It was a hefty portion of pastrami but it was so dry that I had trouble eating it. One piece of cheese. I was not offered a choice of fresh, toasted, or grilled bread. I come from an area of Kentucky (I was visiting Louisville) with a heavy German influence and grew up eating Reuben's. I feel like I can comment on the qualities of this sandwich and the one I got tonight was NOT good at all. Recently became a big Jason's Deli fan and love this location. Very clean inside and out, all employees helpful and service is quick. The food is fresh and there are so many options! Everything is great here, but some favorites include club royale, chicken noodle soup, gingerbread muffins, and last but definitely not least... STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE!!! Jason's is actually one of my favorite places in town even though it's not really local. I've been coming here for years and I've never been disappointed. Parking can get tight in Sunday's after church, but it's fine. You can always find a table and service is always awesome. I've had a lot of different things on the menu, like the papa joe and club royale. Not even sure if some of those things are on there anymore. Anyway, today I got the Rachel, which is a newer item to the menu. Pretty simple sandwich, similar to a Reuben. The Rachel is standard at any other deli, so no explanation necessary. I ordered only half with a cup of chicken noodle soup. This is why they get only four stars: soup was a little salty. It was awful but I wasn't a fan. I've had pot pie type soups here and rice and beans which were very good. This was my first time trying the soup and it just fell short. I also prefer chicken noodle a little lighter, like the one at Panera. This one might've had heavy cream. Like I said, service is great! They're always nice at the counter, they also take plates while you sit and you technically don't have to clean up because they will do it for you. First they forgot the dressing for my salad and after giving me the runaround the manager decided to just remake it for me when all I was asking for was for the dressing that they forgot to include. When I received the new salad not only did it look like it had been haphazardly thrown together without any care. This time when we went I got the California club & Maine lobster chowder and my husband got the unlimited salad bar ($8.95 each). You get a ton of food for the price! The California club comes on a delicious croissant bun and the sandwich is thick with all of the toppings. The chowder was delicious on a chilly day and had plenty of chunks of lobster throughout the soup. I'd definitely order it again! From the salad bar we love the corn salsa and the pasta salad. Great casual deli restaurant! Big variety of different sandwiches and other foods to choose from. The salad bar is also always great with a wide selection. And free ice cream is naturally a plus. The gingerbread muffins are pretty good as well. A nice environment too with good music typically being played (possibly the only restaurant in the North American continent to play a Kate Bush song). Stopped in here for lunch with my wife the other day and I was thoroughly impressed. I had never been to Jason's Deli, but my better half said the place is really great. Upon arriving, the restaurant was crowded for lunch time, but we were able to find a table to sit at. I noticed the manager's special which was a half sandwich and 1 trip to the Salad bar and it was reasonably priced so decided to go for that option. The salad bar was awesome to say the least and they had plenty of choices and options to make a totally rocking salad. The sandwich was great as well and had good flavor. To top it off, the free ice cream after a delicious lunch was just icing on the cake. Great location, service and food. I absolutely love this Jason's Deli location! I ate lunch here frequently when I worked nearby, and now that I work from home, I often run to Jason's for a takeout trip to the salad bar! The salad bar has always been well-stocked, clean, and fresh. There are so many options on the bar from typical salad ingredients to pasta salads, cornbread muffins, hard-boiled eggs (whole), tons of fresh vegetables,pickles, corn salsa, nuts, granola-type mix, humus and so much more! There is a wide variety of crackers to choose from too! Included in the price is a visit to the soft-serve ice cream station after your meal! The soup is a small bit extra and every one that I have tried has been delicious!! Because I love salad, I have not ordered any of the sandwiches, but the ones ordered by previous co-workers and my husband have looked delicious received rave reviews from them! Parking at this location is plentiful as it is in a strip mall area. There is always a crowd at lunchtime, but we have always been able to get a table when we needed one. I love Jason's Deli salad bar. It is the only thing I ever get there. It was one of the things I really missed when it shut down for the covid plandemic. Finally it is back! Same items, same good quality but now it is a "one trip only" salad bar. No more multiple trips. When the salad bar reopened it was billed as a 'new single trip option' and at a lower price (by about 50 cents from the pre-plandemic price). But the price has since quickly and quietly gone back up. So now it is back to about where it was before the plandemic but you can only make one trip now. Thankfully, the salad bowls you get are the same large bowls as before and you can get quite a lot of food on them. So leaving hungry is still not going to happen for me because where as before I might have made two or more trips for separate items, I now just simply pile them all high onto plate in one trip. This location is always clean and the staff is always polite and quick to assist if you need anything. Still the best salad bar in town even if it is only 'one trip'. Also- I'm calling a big BS on 'Johnny G. from Oregon City' for his review. You are sure the substance was what you say it was and not ketchup or some other sauce? How could you be so sure? You had a testing kit with you? You didn't take a picture which would have taken two seconds? You didn't bring it to the attention of the manager which would have taken two seconds? The first time I visited here during training at my new job I was immediately greeted with wonderful smells and friendly service. I picked up a paper menu out of the slot in the wooden dispenser which was great because I didn't have my glasses and got a feel for what they had to offer. Now I'm a huge fan of sandwiches, ask Jimmy John's and Subway, I love them and I thought I was happy with them, but I was wrong! I can't get enough of their Smokey Jack sandwich, thinly sliced turkey, bacon, cheese, tomato, and some kind of sauce that's amazing, of course. They also have a meatball sub that I received from my boyfriend after work one night that puts all other ones I've had to shame as well. I really love the black currant tea, if you like yours sweet then I would recommend adding some sugar. The free ice cream is a nice touch, but I always forget to grab it on my way out the door and I always get slightly depressed once I realize this. The salad bar has everything you would want on a salad and then some. Plenty of dressings, toppings and three kinds of lettuce. Overall this is probably my favorite, or second favorite place to get some nosh on lunch, A) due to its location and B) it's freaking delicious!
