Basic sandwich shop. Similar to a Panera I would say, but I wasn't really blown away by. It was a great pit stop for a roadtrip and to get something somewhat health, but the price point and portion size or service wasn't anything to rave about. I would say a solid choice for a decent meal. Not amazing, but not crappy and I am sure consistent unlike some other places. Plenty of seating available and counter service ordering. We stopped through here on a trip and had a great experience. I used to eat at McAlister's often when I was growing up so I was thrilled to see one along our route. I ordered ahead but didn't get the order placed until we were about 5 minutes away. It wasn't quite ready when we got there but I didn't wait long. The first thing I noticed when we pulled up was the "expecting mother" parking spaces up front. This is something I've never before seen but have thought about many times! The prices were reasonable and they have a reward program which includes a free tea when you sign up. They have great sweet and unsweetened tea. My husband got a steak and cheese sandwich and I ordered the king club. The king club is massive! It was only a dollar fifty or so more than the McAlister's club and said it was twice ingredients so I figured my hangry husband could have some if he wanted. I'll tell you what it really is double the sandwich, we could have shared it! The staff was very friendly and the food tasted great. We will definitely stop here again. read more

I've order food before to go and have had it placed wrong. Not too many healthy options around so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I ordered a custom order with extra $$ added toppings. This is a new location that needs to work out the particulars yet!! It is kind of hidden back in a new section behind a hotel, but gps took us right to it. Ordering was a mess... kept having to go over our order again and again because they kept leaving things off. My youngest got a turkey and cheese sandwich with a side of Mac n cheese. When it came out the Mac n cheese looked very old, crusty, and over cooked. When he took a bite of his sandwich it had the paper like what goes between the cheese slices melted into the sandwich! We showed the waitress and she got them to make a new one... but no one ever apologized and no member of management ever came to talk to us. We didn't want anything... but it seemed to be a real lack of caring! The bathrooms were not clean... and most of the waitstaff just seemed clueless and uncaring. While we were there another table returned their food because it was ice cold. Normally we like McAllister's but this location has some fine tuning to do! read more

Horrible service and food We placed an Online order through the App and it allowed us to order items that weren't available. We arrived early to pick up our order and had to choose a replacement for one item that was available on the app but not in the store. . Also potatoes would not be ready for 45 minutes. It took us 10 minutes to order with only 2 people in front of us. The restaurant wasn't that busy. After waiting 30 minutes for our order we asked and were told it would be 25 minutes. But it had been 30 already. People who ordered 10-15 minutes after us already had their food. We asked again after 35 minutes and this same worker rudely raised her arms and refused to help us. We finally went and asked for our money back because our order must have been lost and nobody was willing to help. We were there for 40 minutes and our order hadn't even been started. Horrible service. My warm sandwich was COLD and when sent back the workers in the back were RUDE. it took forever to get our food or get waited on. my family and I go to mcallisters every single week at least once if not more in shiloh, Illinois where we live. Tonight we were coming home from Holiday World and wanted to eat. The restaurant is open until 8:00 and we're there at 7:35. my daughter has celiac disease so mcallisters is our go to since they have gluten free bread. As soon as we approached the counter we were told by Trinity very rudely that they close in 25 minutes and we can do takeout. like I said we were driving home and it would be hard to eat in the car, so we decided we would eat in the restaurant. She continued to be rude to us Throughout the ordering process til we walked out the door. we ate as quickly as we could as soon as we received our food. We had an abysmal experience at McAlisters today. We placed an order for 7 people for carry out at lunch time and it took them 40 minutes to bag everything up for us. Then we were missing one item On our order, too. The staff was gracious and apologetic about our wait but it was definitely not a fast turnaround in the kitchen. read more

Stood at the counter for 5 minutes waiting to order while the manager and the drive through employee held a personal conversation. They looked at us multiple times and never acknowledged us. No other employee in site besides the cook. We left. Would give them zero stars but that was not an option. Took our business down the road to another restaurant that wanted our business. read more

Walked in on a Saturday and had a front of house person say into the air (not to anyone in particular) "If you're wanting to order there's a 30 minute wait". Walked out. Went back the next day and was told "We're closing in 30 minutes (they were scheduled to close in 40) and there's a 20 minute wait, but you can take it to go" (meaning "we intend to get out of here asap"). Having managed restaurants I would have reemed out an employee who made a customer feel like an inconvenience. It's poor management. Well...my better half convinced me to try this place again this week. It was even WORSE than the previous two times. The sandwich I ordered literally had two thin pieces of 'meat'. The bread was soggy. The mac n cheese had a distinct burnt in the microwave taste. My husbands sandwich was actually loaded with meat but he took two bites and said it was disgusting. They brought out the wrong order twice, and then we realized they only actually charged us for two of the 4 meals and they said it was their mistake, but we needed to come back up to the register to place another order and pay again. Usually have a good experience at other McAlister's but this one was by far the worst. They were out of; cups, yes cups, roast beef, tomato bisque, shredded cheese and several other items we didn't actually try to order. Staff was too busy playing on their phones to help when I was at the counter. I saw the manager dump a sandwich in a to go box on the counter and pick it up with his bare hands and put it back in the container. Our food was lukewarm at best and they had our order wrong. New update they just announced they are now out of broccoli cheese soup and all but 2 types of cheese. We will not be back which is sad because we were really excited when this place was built in town. read more
