Ordered for my wife and I. They brought my wife's food and acknowledged that mine had not been brought yet. She had finished eating and still no food for me so I went to the counter to ask for it to be packaged to go. 5 minutes later still no food. Waited at the counter until they finally brought it to me with a "sorry about that" but no offer of making it right. Looked in the bag, no fork. Finally someone gets me a fork and realizes how irritated I am so gives me a coupon for a free meal. Got where I was going, opened my meal and found there was no dip for my French dip sandwich. I visited fairly recently and ordered the club w/ cucumbers, a side and a tea. Got home with my lunch and they put the cucumbers on the side instead of on the sandwich. No big deal....until I opened the cucumber container. There was a curly beard hair in my cucumbers. I called and talked with the manager who then mailed me a comp coupon since I had already left. I appreciate it. Then a few days ago a local citizen posted on FB that they had hair in their food too. I have yet to stomach going again. It sounds like there might be a sanitary issue in the kitchen. I also want to note that during my pickup, almost every staff in the kitchen was wearing their mask UNDER their chin...not covering the mouth or nose area to help prevent covid spread. No beard nets, no hair nets...not sure about gloves. Couldn't see behind the counter. Review training of the staff for sanitary precautions is urgently needed it sounds. read more

This is a great place to eat. The thing that makes it different are the people. We go after church every Sunday and always look forward to it. Mac, an assistant manager, is friendly, hard working and a real asset for McAlister's. I don't know the general manager (Jennifer I think) as well, but I know she is also hard working and must be very selective in hiring the nicest and most well-mannered employees I have ever seen. We drive from Springfield to Nixa every week just to eat at this location. Service is great, atmosphere is friendly, food is good and restaurant is spotless. (They even play hymns on Sundays.) Too bad all restaurants can't be like this! read more

Management, and staff are super nice! Not over powering, but very considerate, and kind. Even if the staff here wasn't great, the food is awesome. Best sandwiches around. I had the McAlister's Club, and justaspud, potato was cooked perfectly, and the sandwich was very fresh and tasty. Definitely coming back! read more

Ordered the "Grilled" Chicken Salad. Chicken was not only not grilled, it was very cold. They told me they could microwave the chicken, which is even more disgusting. I if you are going to advertise "Grilled", you should actually grill it instead of thawing a bag, and putting a small portion on the salad, my guess was 2-3oz. I am disappointed. read more

We love McAlisters but this location just does not have it all together. Expect VERY slow service here. The food is usually pretty good. They have messed up our order a couple times after having waiting for 20-25 minutes. This is at times when the restaurant is not busy. If this one wasn't the closest to where we lived we would definitely not go. If they could improve their speed and service it would definitely be a better rating. read more

Probably the most over priced mediocre restaurant you'll find. You'll need to be a millionaire to get full here. This and Panera bread are masters of over charging you for food that you can make at home for pennies. Their tea is good though. read more

We come to this McAllister's regularly and have always been happy with the food and service. However, lately, something must have changed. The place smells of burnt food when you walk in, ALL the empty tables are either dirty and/or still covered in dishes (we had to ask for them to clean some tables so we could sit). The floors are a mess and it just looks like no one is manning the store. This is not a one time occurance. This has been the case this visit as well as the last 3 times I have been here. There may have been a change in management but whatever has happened it is not for the good. read more

My husband and I love the food here, but the last three time we have come in the mac and cheese was cold. One time I can understand but three is rediculos. The food is always good , but if it's supposed to be hot I expect it hot when it arrives. read more

I am a fan of McAlister's and I wanted to show my 8 year old what she was missing. This is the first time I have been to this location. We were one of maybe a dozen other families at 7:30 on a Wednesday evening. We struggled to find one clean table in the sea of empty tables. It may be reasonable to think we had followed the dinner rush, however we were the only ones in line to order and we took a bit to decide! The fact that there was quite a bit of chatter behind the counter while we tried to decide on our order makes me wonder if dining in isn't an expectation? I'm pretty disappointed in not only the cleanliness but in the customer service as well. The lady taking our order seemed to hate us when we walked through the door. I could understand if they were closing but that's not the case. Once we finally got our meal, we didn't get silverware. Three separate employees looked at me as I approached the counter and then turned around to continue doing what appeared to be...nothing! I waited several minutes to even be acknowledged and then the lady that gave me our silverware made three trips between the counter and the kitchen to seemingly find the cutlery that was behind the counter. The food was acceptable but not enough for me to return to this location. Thankfully there are plenty others to chose from in our area. read more
