Classic McAllister's menu like all of the locations, but without a doubt the worst McAllister's ever visited. Unfortunately, this is the closest one to our home which means without driving 40 minutes round-trip to Springfield we commonly find ourselves at the next location....but NO MORE! When eating in the restaurant 1/2 to 2/3 of the restaurant is "closed" which simply means they've placed chairs in front of the section that is BEYOND dirty and can stay that way for hours. Even the sections open, half the tables are disgusting. When you order the food to go the vast majority of the time the order is wrong (75 to 80% at a time). Sandwiches and soup that are supposed to be warm are cold even when served in the restaurant. Components from the order or sandwiches are very frequently missing altogether. It is shocking that's all the other McAllister's in the region consistently serve quality food with accurate orders, but yet Nixa has consistently gotten worse overtime. Add to that rapidly rising prices with decreasing quality and it is a total embarrassment. read more

Had a door dash coupon and decided to try McAllisters again. My aunt is a professional foodie.... no not really, she is really an RN but missed her food analysis calling. She adores McAlisters and come quite often. My husband recently had gum surgery and eating has been painful. McAlsiters to the rescue. I ordered him the potato salad and the Mac and cheese and I got a smile out of him. Wonder of wonders ! We got the lemonade, a Brooke and I had a chicken avocado salad. This is advertised everywhere kids eat free Tues but this location wasn't about to honor it. My daughter's sandwich was literally solid it was so hard and the cookies were tiny and burned. I love McAllister's, but this was not a good trip to McAlisters. To start with one of the guys behind the counter was so loud we couldn't hear the person taking our order and she couldn't hear us. Unfortunately, I was very rude and yelled QUIET! When we got our food, my husband asked for no mustard on his sandwich and of course it had mustard I ordered have salad and the new gnocchi soup. The soup is basically potato soup with a few little gnocchi thrown in. For my salad, I got 1/2 of a small container of dressing.. I ordered the harvest salad and the chicken salad on top not my fav it was almost like the ground chicken salad at step mom used to make and I'm not a fan. I do not recommend the Nixa McAlisters, especially if you're door-dashing. I was there on Monday, April 24th, at 11:30am (approx.) and I waited there for over 10 minutes on a door-dash order. Who I'm assuming was a morning manager asked me about 5 different times the name on the order. When I finally got it there was a tea with it, keep in mind the Dasher app told me that it was just the sandwich, no tea on it. When I brought that up to an employee they said "Well it's on the ticket" in a very snarky tone. I have even reviewed after being sent an email to review and had a manager reach out to me but I went back after that, and my service and meal was awful. First of all, the employees are young and do not care about their job. I order a garden fresh turkey sandwich with avocado, spinach, and gluten free bread on it. That's it! They have messed this up countless times by forgetting the avocado. Not a difficult sandwich to make. They also always short me on the turkey and the bread most of the time is hard. The employees give me dirty looks and talk about me because I have heard them whenever I come in and whenever I bring my food up to be corrected. I am paying for my food. It is not that difficult. Very unsatisfied, the Springfield location is ridiculous. My grilled cheese was mostly bread, if the bread wasn't stuck together I wouldn't have known there was cheese on it, I just ate it quietly and didn't want to complain. They had just made a fresh pot of coffee and I made sure to let the girl who delivered it that I would be needing a refill, only to drink half of my cup and was told that they just dumped it. The kid beside her tried hiding the fact that he found it hilarious, they poured our an entire pot of coffee. Paid $26.75 for king club sandwich, 2 cookie , 2 drinks and Southwest Chicken Avocado for my 2 kids. Got to the airport to discovered her $10 salad has no chicken. There was a McAllister inside the airport so we went over to see if they could added chicken or exchange for my 9 year old a new salad. Actually we called the Nixa location first to see if they can talk to the airport location to exchange for us. While on the phone with Nixa location the lady answered the phone say yeah they should do it for you if not I will talk to her. Ok so waited for 10 minutes for our turn the cashier say they couldn't do it since they franchise and the lady in Nixa location told me oh so sorry there nothing she can't do. This is a great family place!! They are known for their tea but actually everything they offer is good. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Salad. It was huge. It came with croutons, tomatoes, cucumbers, and a small bit of shredded cheese. The chicken was juicy but the salad could have used a little bit more of it. The lettuce was good lettuce, not iceberg. The cucumbers and tomatoes were fresh. I'm not sure if they make their own salad dressings but the Blue Cheese I ordered was good and they were generous with it. There was so much honey mustard and mayo on it that the croissant was a soggy mess! And what's with the spring mix leaves they are dressing all their sandwiches with now? I hate biting into stems! This is a charming place. My first in this store or any of them for that matter was about a month ago. I've been in about four times since then. The food is solidly tasty. The service exceptional from the order counter to a variety of employees seeking to refill or help with another order, etc. Good wifi keeps me sipping and then ordering that chocolate chip cookie I'd vowed not to consume. My latest was the club wrap, which was so good I'm looking forward to my next visit, which is what I'll no doubt order again. I've had a couple of soups, Tortilla being one. Both very tasty. I'm real picky, but nothing to complain about here. My doctor friends could perform surgery in the men's room. Well, maybe not quite, it's sure squeaky and brightly clean. The customer service at this McAlister's is phenomenal. We ordered online and picked it up. When we got home we realized we were missing a couple items. We called the store to see what could be done. The manager on duty was Danny and he was excellent. He apologized and said that he would deliver what we were missing. He showed up within a few minutes with our missing items and a couple of cookies. He apologized again for the mistake. He went way above what i was expecting. I have a running bet with my boyfriend about who's order this location will mess up on this time. I don't know why I bother coming back. First of all, my veggie chili had chunks of meat in it. According to their website the veggie chili is "A hearty, meatless, all-bean chili that has all the seasoning you love". Secondly they gave me some kind of barbecue dressing for my Pecanberry salad. The strawberries in the salad taste moldy and looked rather dubious on inspection. Half the time that I order it without chicken it comes out with chicken- lol. I was on the lookout from the start-outdoor seating was clean, inside the restaurant the unoccupied tables were clean as well. Whew. First obstacle overcome! The next was service. There were not many people there, and the young lady took our order quickly and even read it back for accuracy. My daughter has been recently diagnosed with Celiac disease and we asked about gluten free, and she quipped that they have gluten free bread. We ordered a baked potato instead and asked about preparation of gluten free products and shared utensils. She kind of blew that off and pretty sure she didn't even mention it to the cooks. We will see if there are any repercussions of this later! The manager came outside and asked if everything was ok halfway through our meal. So all in all it was a good meal. This restaurant was gross. Floors covered with food and trash sitting on the tables inside and on the patio. Ordered the choose two got the club and broccoli cheddar soup. The soup was the consistency of water and tasteless, the sandwich had 3 pieces of bread and mustard on the first layer with a couple bacon bits. The manager came over and apologized but did nothing to attempt to right these issues. Even after agreeing that the soup was to runny and there was suppose to be more bacon. McAlister's is a great little restaurant and the food is always good. They have a good variety of sandwiches, spuds (baked potatoes), and salads. I've tried just about everything and it's all been great. They run seasonal specials on sandwiches/salads and sometimes pastas and they are always a nice treat for something different. The staff at this specific place is incredible! They are always extremely nice and accommodating to whatever needs I have. We usually go most Tuesdays as kids eat free so that's a big draw. It can be a little pricey depending on what all you get, but for me, it's worth it. They just remodeled the place too. Added some TVs which may or may not be what you are looking for, but the overall ambiance is nice. Oh and the new mango green tea is amazing!! Please keep that forever! read more
