The service was absolutely amazing! I took my daughter there for a mother daughter lunch and we had an amazing time!

I would like to begin with the fact that I eat at McAlister's Deli frequently, both at home and while traveling for work, and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had at any McAlister's location.I ordered my usual meal: a Grilled Chicken Club, a cup of Chicken Tortilla Soup, and a large Peach Lemonade. The employee taking my order was clearly new or in training and was struggling. I was patient with him because everyone has to learn, but it was obvious management wasn't providing the support or training he needed. When I got home, I discovered I had been given the wrong sandwich. Instead of the Grilled Chicken Club I ordered, I received a Grilled Chicken Sandwich on a croissant. I returned to the restaurant expecting a simple correction. Instead, I was met by the manager, Rosa, whose attitude immediately made the situation worse. She told me I would have to pay the difference to receive the sandwich I originally ordered, even though the mistake was entirely the restaurant's. Charging a customer to fix your own mistake is unacceptable and demonstrates poor management. When I refused to pay for the restaurant's error and requested a refund, Rosa continued to be rude, argumentative, and unprofessional. She initially tried to give me only a partial refund because I still had the lemonade. I returned the lemonade and finally received my full refund. What should have been a simple correction turned into an unnecessary confrontation because of Rosa's attitude and lack of professionalism. I left feeling disrespected and, based on how I was treated, I have serious concerns that race played a role in the way this situation was handled. Afterward, I read other Google reviews and found that my experience was not an isolated incident. Multiple customers have described Rosa as rude, unprofessional, and accused her of discriminatory behavior. Based on my own experience, I believe those complaints should be taken seriously. McAllisters needs to address this immediately. Rosa has no business managing a team or representing the company in a customer facing leadership role. She is damaging the restaurant's reputation, creating negative customer experiences, and setting a poor example for employees. At a minimum, she should be removed from customer facing management until the company determines whether she can meet the professional standards expected of a manager. I will be contacting corporate because this experience was completely unacceptable. I've visited McAlister's locations across the country, and I've never encountered customer service this poor. Okay, I'll admit I'm so confused by this establishment. Upon entering at 1030am, you would be led to believe that this place has absolutely given up. At 1030am, they are just opening their doors for the start of the day, so why are the floors dirty and the bathrooms absolutely disgusting. When I say disgusting I mean I've been in gas station bathrooms cleaner than theirs. The only conclusion I can come to is that they put all their energy into food prep and awesomeness because the cashier is definitely a part of the living dead (Zero energy and hospitality). I want to recommend this place but they are making it really hard. If you are craving McAlister's Deli just order take-out and skip the dine-in experience. Don't say I didn't warn you. read more

From the outside it looked small to me. However upon entry I was supersized to see it was roomy. Decore: Good. Its not run down like other places I've seen. Tables and chairs are in good condition. Thervis room between the tables. My only take away is all of the tables are set up for 4 people or less. So big parties will have to sit apart. The tables are movable so..... Food: I had a sandwich and salad. I thought they were great. They even paid attention to plating, which is a suprize to me. The menu is extensive so everyone shoud find something they want. But to many choices can be overwhelming as well. Soups salads spuds nachos and deaerts comprise the menus make up. Price: I think its what you would expext from an upscaled fast food place. 25 dollars for the two of us to eat. Not bad for the amount of food and its quality. read more

This place is finally a great place for soups, salads, and sandwiches! I have been coming here for years because I love salads and soups. The food has been good most of the times in the past however now it is really delicious and quality in all bites! I use to have to beg for an extra pack of crackers and usually they would forget to bring them. Not anymore! Great people work here these days. Nice, friendly, and consistent recently the last year. The iced tea is always fresh, strong, and plentiful. Try the Savannah Chopped Chicken Salad. It has tons of blue cheese, cranberries, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and nicely sliced chicken. The sherry shallot dressing that comes with it is delicious and a bit tangy. It's nice to have a friendly crew working these days at McAlister's because bad service and bad attitudes are not good for business no matter how good the food is. read more

So I decided to order online no problems. Right! Got too the restaurant early so I could make sure my order was placed. I asked some guy who didn't give me his name or know how to run the register. I waited order didn't take long. Got back to my hotel with my Club and potato soup with a side of coleslaw. This is the problem..it lettuce instead of cabbage. So I call the restaurant and I asked if its normal to give your customers coleslaw with lettuce, he pauses and has to go look to see how and what's in it, he clammed to be the manager. I ordered curbside king club NO HONEY MUSTARD NO MAYO. Well I get my sandwich and check and there is some honey mustard. So I park and bring it inside wait 10 min for new sandwich go home. Not sure why this place is 2 stars because everytime I eat here its pretty packed! Service was fast for being busy. I never had an issue with the staff. My favorite is the harvest chicken salad and hubby's fav is the McAlister Club and yeah it's not shy on the meat. Sweat tea is always the bomb!! read more

Since I wrote my previous review in 2011, McAlisters has had a complete overhaul. The staff is friendly, the interior has been completely remodeled, and the speed of the food prep is much faster and usually accurate. We eat in and order carry out quite often now. read more

I've dined at this McAlisters many times during the past decade. I'd really like to give them a higher rating, but my experience at this location has been hit-or-miss. Sometimes the food is fantastic, other times - not so much. I haven't dined there much in the past few years, but just the other day I stopped in to order a New Yorker (grilled pastrami on rye). The sandwich was good, and the portions were generous, but the meat was cold. Not room temperature cold, more like refrigerator cold. Come on guys, I know you can do better than that! Some of their soups and sides are good, and some are just so-so. I've ordered the chili before, and I swear it tasted like it came straight out of the can (Hormel chili I'm guessing). I ordered online to pick up curbside on my lunch from work. My order was supposed to be ready at 1:36 am. I got there at 1:34, called and told them I was here. The employee said she would be out shortly with my order. I waited until 1:46, and decided to go inside to check on my order. Four employees behind the counter looked at me, and no one spoke to me. The restaurant was not busy at all. I stood there for about another two minutes. Finally, one of the employees who had originally not said a word to me, was bringing a bucket of ice to put in the ice bin, did acknowledge me at last. I told her that I had a to go order that was supposed to brought to me curbside. She looked and it was sitting there ready to go. She apologized and brought it to me. Now, this is something McAlister's Deli MANAGEMENT NEED TO HEAR: your food is good, but your REPUTATION is of slow service and employees with bad attitudes (the last employee notwithstanding)! Every time I want something from McAlister's, I have to temper it with my ability to wait for the food, plus the attitude of the staff. Management needs to send a staff member to Chick-Fil-A to see how they do things and come back and train their employees how they do it! I worked in the food service industry for six years, so I know how it should be done. I know McAlister's Deli may not be able to put food out as fast as a McDonald's or such, but people don't mind waiting for good food; they just want someone to acknowledge them and say, "I'll be right with you" with a smile, instead of "why are you bothering me?" I walked in the door to get some food because I love the McAlister's I go to in Texas and they were so rude within the first five seconds of me walking in there that I just turned around and walked out told them no thanks they're not getting any of my money or business ever! There was not a single other person eating in the restaurant I can see why. The lady behind the counter was acting very strange like she's living in some kind of extreme fear for some reason. We were denied service and yelled at by the manager to get out because we were unable to comply with their mandated regulations due to medical reasons. She made a huge scene and would not listen to us. We have two small children and were completely harassed by this woman to leave. Needless to say we will NEVER step foot in there again. I placed an order online at 7:35 for a club sandwich and a couple sweet teas. I chose to go to McAlisters because I was really wanting their sweet tea! I get there at 7:50 to pick up my order as a guy was being turned away because they were closing at 8. That by itself is bad business, if you are open till 8 you should be taking customers until stated time. I proceeded to tell the lady that I was there to pick up my order when I learned that "they had already poured out the sweet tea before they received my order due to it being close to closing time." Why would you pour out the rest of the sweet tea 25 minutes before closing?? In my opinion they are more concerned about getting out of there at 8 than they are about taking care of the customers who chose to spend their money there. read more

I am giving a one star because I can't give a "no stars." We entered the restaurant and approached the counter. And waited. And waited. And waited. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet for FIVE MINUTES no one behind the counter even acknowledged we were there. One young man was bagging a large to-go order behind the counter, and a young woman was fiddling with the ice machine. Had these tasks been urgent and we had even received a "we're so sorry, I'll be right with you" this might have been acceptable. However, since we never even received a how-do-you-do, we decided not to wait around another five minutes and pay for the pleasure of being ignored. The worst McAlisters experience ever! Minimal meat on sandwich. Other sandwich not what we ordered . Took meatless one back they remade and just left it sitting. We had to ask for it again. No peanut butter crispies and ladies room needed deep cleaning. On cross country trip we went out of our way to find one and only consistent things were soup and tea. There are no words ! Bare* with me and the detail I am sharing. I called McAlisters at 658 pm central time to place an order. I ordered the ultimate nachos, nacho basket, veggie potato, and a strawberry lemonade. Just a hair under $30. I live 11 miles and 14 minutes away from McAlisters. Round trip o 28 minutes. The first time I called, the call went smoothly, although after I hung up realized that chili came on the ultimate and I needed that switch, I called back and it took til 704 for them to answer the phone again, but again, not mad at this point. Go inside, the girl at the counter was really sweet, she took care of me and I was on my way. I drive back to Jacksonville, where I live 14-16 minutes total to get home and realize that my Nachos aren't put together, that the potato and none of the condiments that in the potato are in the bag, so that whole order is left out. I get in the car, a bit annoyed, so I call at 741 and nobody picks up the phone after 10 phone calls until 754 and I am almost pulling up to the store. The manager Kat shares with me they are closed at 754 when store hours are until 8 pm. I share with her it is 755 at that time and she says it's 810. Her clock at the store is 15 minutes ahead, which is crazy because all phones are universally on the same time these days so you would assume respectable restaurants are too. I am telling her that they forgot my families potato (my parents are vegetarians) and that I am needing a new one, but she cant do it because they are closed and offered another potato for tomorrow. I also share that why in the heck am I skimmed on my nachos portions and why they are all on the side and my nachos aren't made. If I wanted to make nachos at home, I wouldve done so and she shared that they're always like that. I couldn't still get the potato today, I told her I'm furious and at this point, I have been out of my house about an 45 to 1 hour and my food at home is cold because I worry about my parents eating before me. I'm so upset I just want my money back completely. She calls the GM and the GM shares with her she can do me 1 meal another time. I DONT WANT ANOTHER MEAL! YOU HAVE AN UPSET CUSTOMER! FURIOUS BECAUSE THE SIMPLE FIX IS TO GET THE POTATO TO ME FRESH and possibly redo my nachos or something else correctly so it is HOT instead of COLD. So instead of getting that the manager gets an attitude when I share with her if youre offering a free meal I will come up there with a bunch of people and we will all eat because now Im just so mad I want to be petty and she becomes very rude, "well we wont serve you if youre not going to take the meal" and going on. It was rather rude thinking hey I'm the customer, I'm annoyed that I have done a round trip and wasted gas for 44-48 miles to get to McAlisters and back and McAlisters and back when my order isn't correct, the time in the store isn't correct, nobody is trying to fix it, and I'm catching an attitude when I'm already pissed off. This isn't how restaurants have been operating especially during this COVID situation. My parents wanted a good loaded potato that I go to outback and they have it ready in under 5 minutes after answer the phone the first time so we can have some decent meal while I eat some cold nachos, queso, and chicken that I asked to be on it. I don't know how yall run your business and I'm 99% sure it is much better than the experience I have. I want to speak with a higher up, the GM who she would refuse to let me talk to, OR SOMEONE that can get me my money back and correct an incorrect situation. This shouldn't be that difficult. I have worked in food service, I am in customer service now as an owner, and I know I would never treat any customer like this REGARDLESS of how pissed off that customer is. SO PLEASE, HELP ME FIND A WAY TO CORRECT THIS! If you call, please leave a message with a call back number. None of the food was even remotely good, but I'm sure other things on the menu are, but at this point, I am DONE with the NLR location due to this rude employee and the way this entire situation was handled and how much time I wasted running around. I have screenshots and pictures of all the food that I was given, the phone logs, and anything else that I shall provide. I will be calling the store Monday morning at 1030 when they open, so please, help me then, before then, or someway, but be a good customer service restaurant. Boyfriend and I got chicken Caesar salads to go on 5-28. Turns out we both kept getting these super gritty bites -like when you accidentally get sand in your food at the beach. All throughout the entire salad - gritty, like dirt. I really don't know if the lettuce was dirty or if there's something in the dressing. But it was disgusting. My boyfriend didn't say anything to me at first bc he thought it was just his salad - and I thought it was just my salad. We talked about it later - how gross it was. NEVER AGAIN. I come to this McAlisters all the time. Last night I ordered take out and got the ham and cheese toastie with a side of mac n cheese. The sandwich was fine, but once i got to my macaroni, i was extremely disappointed. I don't know if it was bad, or just not cooked right or, the cheese was bad. I do not know, but i took a few bites and was so disgusted I ended up wasting money and throwing it away, not to mention I got sick not too long after and threw everything that I had eaten from there up. If they plan to stay in business I would definitely make some changes and figure out the source to their problem.
