This place is great! The burgers are very good, and service was also great. They come around and put fries on the table from a big stainless bowl. We showed up around 11 and there was plenty of table space. 30 minutes later the place was completely full. It fills up fast. After you eat they give you each a taste of their ice cream. Which I thought was pretty neat. The burgers were a four star and the whole burger joint experience was a five. read more

Wow, I have to say, David's Burgers delivers a unique experience! A cool niche place with great energy and enthusiastic staff/servers! They brand their wait staff with their vision of creating a family environment and through their offering of bottomless fries brought to your table, greeting everyone who enters, and letting kids make their own ice cream, the achieved it! I loved the 1950's interior design and the classic 50's music. As far as the food goes, the fries are seasoned and great, and while the burgers are not gourmet like other top burger places, they are an amazing smash burger style burger and they use locally grown produce, Idaho potatoes, and premium steak to build their dish, which I can't understate how much I appreciate! I elected to get the double with double cheese done "David's way." Very happy with my choice. Also uniquely they offer the ability to buy meat to take home either by the cut or in a freezer box. Overall I think this is a must visit place! 5 stars! My one complaint is that despite giving free ice cream samples, they don't have milkshakes. read more

We have a "hobby" of seeking out and trying the various local/regional burger chains all over the USA. I'd say we've tried about a dozen so far. And I'm SO glad we discovered David's because they're definitely one of the very best we've found. Excellent burger -- big tasty patties with fresh ingredients on a nice sturdy bun. Fantastic fries -- this is where most burger joints fail. These are really good. And they come around offering refills! Super dangerous. Great service -- genuinely friendly folks who seem to like their jobs. Super clean and tidy. Even the quality of their soft serve ice cream is way above-average (and that's coming from someone who finds most of it inedible). Oh. And did I mention the great service? They're seriously on the ball in this department! We drive through Arkansas pretty regularly, so we will just keep popping in at David's whenever it's practical to do so. My husband and I went for lunch today, and the cashier who took my order had the my filthiest finger nails. Each nail look like he'd been working on a car and hand oil under his nails. He originally was in the kitchen before I ordered a second time to get ice cream. But it was a complete turn off to know that someone with dirty hands/nails may have handled my food. We are not from the area, so this was our first go at David's Burgers and we LOVED it! The burgers are delish but it's the atmosphere that makes it. Very, very friendly service with upbeat attitudes. Bottomless french fries served on the table as you wait for your burgers... I ate too many! Perfectly salted. Free sample-sized ice creams after the meal. We left full and happy. One note: the kids burgers were the same sized bun with a slightly smaller patty. This seemed odd. Next time I would skip the kids meal idea and just split a regular burger between my little ones. read more

Ok, this review is only for the NLR location. We used to live here, but moved away 11 years ago. When we come back to visit family, we always include at least one visit to a location. This year, however, was a poor experience. Two different days in November/December, the burgers were seasoned FAR too much! The salt level made them nearly inedible for two of us...so it's not just me. I'm hoping the owners see this and go investigate. We've met them in the past and are great folks. read more

Everyone is always raving about In and Out... but David's Burger is on a whole different level! NOTHING here is frozen and you can see the meat being grilled at this location. It's really like walking into a butcher store, pointing out which patty you want, and they'll make it for you. I also love how you have the staff walking around filling up fries for you. And when it looks like you're done, they'll come by with a cup of their soft serve swirl. Wish I knew about that before I ordered my combo... but tip for next time: save money on the fries and soft serve because they'll be coming around providing you with them! read more

What is going on North Little Rock? The drive through is chaotic, some workers need to be more attentive of cars moving in that area. Our order arrived in a plastic bag that was covered in grease at the bottom. The burgers were both dressed wrong, and one was lukewarm and the other fresh off the grill. Our sodas were incorrect. While passing through town we wanted something to eat that we could not get in the Dallas area. We got our wish. We came across David's Burgers in North Little Rock. What a memorable experience. This is what a 5-Star dining experience looks like. From the time we walked in the door we were greeted by Alyssa. Alyssa constantly smiled, was cheerful and extremely pleasant. She explained a bit of history about the restaurant and its day to day operation. She took our order and we were off to have a seat in the roomy dining area. Thank you Alyssa for your kindness. Then there was Syke and Jora. Both of these individuals were so pleasant and kind to speak with. They spoke to us about their future plans and how David's Burgers helped them to grow. David's had provided them with confidence, maturity, life and leadership skills that they would use for a lifetime. They continuously brought hot fries to the table while we waited for our meal. Once we received our meal the table-side hot fries continued. Finally, after our meal they brought us yogurt samples that were so good. Never did Jora or Skye allow us to get up and refill our own cups. You talk about 5 star service.... Jora and Skye did an excellent job of ensuring we received 5 star service. Thank you Skye and Jora for such excellent service. I would be remised if I didn't mention how hot fresh and juicy my burger was. One of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The food was a-m-a-z-I-n-g! Walk in to the most enthusiastic greeting from the entire team working this particular shift during a lunch rush. Food was delicious and came out pretty quickly given the time of day. This is the first time here and didn't know what to expect, but this is also the first day after the Arkansas snow storm, so I was hoping they were open. Glad to see that they were open, I walked in and ordered just a simple #1 combo with cheese (and David's all the way) to go. The front staff was super nice and gave great service, even one of the staff was so sweet and gave me a little bit of fries to snack on while waiting. I have craved David's burgers ever since I moved away from Arkansas 4 years ago. And wow...didn't I miss it! The decor is a classic one with 50s music blaring and a jukebox. Once you enter, everyone yells, "Welcome to David's!" You order at the counter and pick your combo and toppings. Some toppings cost extra. Combos include bottomless fries and a drink. And there is a case of meat displayed right at the door with fresh hamburger meat. At the moment, I cannot remember what type of hamburger meat they serve but it is some of the higher quality. Once you sit down, someone comes around and gives you fries to eat before your burger comes out. The fries are hot and hand-cut. I asked for David's sauce which is mayo-mustard-salad dressing-relish conglomeration. My burger came out hot and fresh with David's sauce, pepper jack cheese, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, and jalapenos. It was mar-vel-ous! This was way better than my lunch at Whole Hog earlier today. Also, service is phenomenal and friendly. The manager even gave me a free ice cream cone since I proclaimed my love for David's and how much I have missed it in 4 years. Sweet tea was refreshingly sweet! The fries are good. The hamburger is overhyped but good. Greasy is the best I can describe it. People are very friendly but I wish they would shut up. They are yelling just to be yelling. The girls checking us out hates that (she said so) and got our order wrong because she couldn't hear. That wasn't a big deal to us and was fixed promptly and satisfactorily for us, just explaining how irritating the yelling staff was. If they would just STFU or at least give us a place where we can have a conversation without yelling this would be a place I would visit again. As it is, I choked down the food in about 3 minutes so I could leave. I know this review isn't hurting their business. People love this place so read other post and go with that instead. read more

I was early for an appointment and David's was across the parking lot. So I grabbed an early (11:30) lunch. Should have stuck with my apple & almonds. I ordered a $9 hamburger steak. Came with fries & a Coke. The Coke was great. Fries were in mostly tiny burned bits and yet still soggy. The hamburger 'steak' was a broken mess with a few sautéed mushrooms and onions.
