They had about 7-8 staff members standing around. My wife ordered a Memphian sandwich, they fail to put ANY meat on the sandwich. They also fail to put a pickle on any of orders,5. McAlister's has been a favorite of mine for decades, so I hate to say this; but seriously. This location needs help. I don't know what's going on, but every time I order here, there's an issue. I started months ago ordering through the phone app at least 30 minutes before I need the order because that's how long it takes to get anything here. Then I go inside to pick it up and wait for at least 5-10 mor minutes in line, because the drive through is a joke and there's one register open taking orders and retrieving the orders inside. The sides are half full, and the pickles have shrunk down to nothing. Service is awful. No one checks on you if your dining in. Definitely not the experience I remember from the past. Me and my friend decided to come to this location after church. Bad idea. I did not receive a fork for my salad nor my drink which I paid for. I was handed a fork upon asking, however, it was a cheap plastic fork that could easily break. I then asked for some extra ranch. When the server came back she exclaimed that it would be 85¢ because her manager said so. 85¢ for a 2oz cup of ranch that was not even all the way filled is abhorrent. I then realized that I did not have my drink. I went up to the counter and waited... until I finally had to nearly shout for someone to pay attention. I asked nicely for my drink and when the server said okay I went back to my table. I never got my drink. I went back up and asked again, to which another server said "Do you see we have a lot of people here? We're busy. I'll get it in a minute." I finally got my drink but that interaction alone is enough to make me never want to eat here again. On top of everything else I paid $9.50 for a sandwich with hardly anything on it. You order online, it tells you when to be there, and then you have to sit in line behind 5 other cars in the "drive through" who probably haven't even ordered yet before you can get your food. They don't make people pull forward or off to the side for those of us that ordered online 30 plus minutes ago. I literally just saw the lady in front of me order and pay and now it's been 10 minutes and here we still sit waiting on her food. I've been in line now for 40 minutes to pick up an order I placed on the app over an hour ago. The dining room is locked due to short staffing. Stopped by here for dinner, had to wait 35 minutes for a sandwich. Our food wasn't even correct, the sauces were wrong and so was the bread. It didn't match the menu description at all. The guy who took our order was nice, but clearly not trained whatsoever. While we were eating, I counted 5 customers who had complaints. The food took absolutely forever, 45 minutes for one guys sandwich. Then, when you finally get it, it's completely wrong. Several people were asking for refunds. The manager (?) on duty would randomly bump tickets off the dine-in side - even when those tickets weren't completed. She would randomly ask some people what their name was, and would complete their order - even while there were dine-in tickets in front of them (including mine). No one ever asked me what my order was, or gave me the option to tell them. The most shocking part of it all was the store wasn't busy! Review of Big Spring Texas McAllister's. Even before you enter the Restaurant, by the front door the artificial grass has dog doodey. That is just nasty! There is a unpleasant smell first entering that stays with you that makes it unpleasant to even order. I'm really upset with McAlister's because for a company that prides itself on customer service and quality food, they do a very poor job at executing on a few key things: (1) Your rewards program is a train wreck. I only found out about it by doing one of the surveys on the receipt and Googling the program name after I was asked why I was not a part of it. The fact that your employees never mentioned it and I visit McAlister's quite a bit, is extremely disappointing. (2) On the topic of the rewards program, McAlister's will tell you that not all locations participate. Why? What's the point then? How do you know who's participating and who's not? I decided to find out. (3) I'm in the drive thru and I pull up to pickup my order and the rewards program app says to present the card to the cashier to get credit for your meal. I do as instructed and the girl goes a ghost white. She explains that she was never trained on a rewards program and they don't even have a scanner to scan my card with. But maybe if I go online I can still get credit for the purchase after the fact? (4) I go online and email the address provided under "if your purchases are missing" and I have yet to hear back from anyone and/or see any points in my account and it's been almost a week. IF you're going to do something, do it right. If you need a good model, go visit a Starbucks or a Panera Bread- they each have excellent rewards programs that resonate well with their respective customer bases. read more

This McAlister's was right next to the office I was at while traveling. So I knew I had a great location for lunch if I was unable to go far. I have never gone wrong at McAlister's. Just pick any sandwich that sounds tasty to you. I am so glad they have gone back to sandwiches instead of having some "dinner" items on the menu. I had tried their new Cobb Club at this location both times I went because it was so tasty! It had avocado, gorganzola cheese, turkey and other veggies on soft bread. One thing I also tried was the mac and cheese instead of my usual potato salad. The mac and cheese was very runny and not what I expected at all. I would say stay away from the mac and cheese. This used to be our favorite place to carry out even though it is pricey. However, the last 3 times we've ordered online, my husband has had to correct the order in the store at pickup. Today, I had a choose 2 - the orange cranberry club MINUS the spring mix and a bowl of the roasted vegetable soup. He checked the order and the spring mix was on so he asked them to fix it. What I got was a limp toasted half a sandwich, not the club as asked for with almost raw bacon. I was afraid to eat it based on how it looked and the under-cooked bacon.
