Very disappointing!! I called in a lunch order for our office, and it was ready on time. We ordered a large and a medium pizza with sausage, pepperoni, onions, mushrooms and peppers. Those were $62, so with tip it came to $75!! I know all of us are having a tough time with COVID and all, but this is not that good of pizza and certainly not worth the price! I can get just as good of pizzas at many other establishments for 1/2 that price. This used to be one of my favorites but they have fallen to the bottom of my list! I even told the guy that it seemed very expensive and he just gave me a blank stare and gave me excuses saying it was due to the topping. Those topping costs maybe $3. read more

The interior is awesome - roomy and clean. High chair was filthy. Most places don't wipe them down and this place is one of them. I wanted pizza. I asked for recommendation and she said thai pizza was best - I was disappointed with it. Yes the crust is great but the flavor was bland, I could taste a bit of "thai" flavors but it was lacking big time. They should add more to it - crushed peanuts, cilantro, more pop flavors like that. My husband and I came in and wanted a pizza. We decided on a small pepperoni and mushroom extra crispy, small garlic bread and small salad with special dressing. Everything was AMAZING. The younger male server/ bartender was attentive and brought everything in a good order and as soon as we were ready for more food. He got busy taking pizzas out of the oven when I wanted to pay but otherwise really quick service. An older male worker asked us how things were going and I said it was great. They were very nice. Also the first time I had their ranch. Yummy. And also the first time I had honey with my pizza crust. Genius. read more

My wife, our two young kids and myself went to McClain's to catch the Seahawks last game. While the game didn't have the outcome we were hoping for, the service was exceptional and it was a great atmosphere for the kids! I ordered a large calzone, it came quickly, and was more than I could eat in one sitting! I ended up taking the rest in a box for lunch the next day. Even though we live on the South Hill and have to drive across town, it was definitely worth the trip! Next time we bring the kids up north to Wonderland, we will be stopping at McClain's for sure! read more

I phoned in my order and they told me about 30 minutes or so. Which was fine with me. I get there 20 minutes before the pizza was done as I expected. They offered me a drink while I wait waited. I got a soda. But I was never offered a refill. When my pizza was ready they boxed it up. I leave the restaurant thinking huh the bottom of the box isn't warm as you expect it would be after getting a pizza fresh out of the oven. I was only 5 minutes from the restaurant when I arrive home. The pizza was just above room temperature. So I didn't have the best rxperience this time not to mention large Pizza and soda for $30. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and our server, Jordyn, was friendly and efficient! Great variety on the menu and they were offering good microbrews. It seemed to take longer than expected for the food to come out but it was tasty. Prices were mostly fair (really reasonable lunch specials!) but I was surprised to see that we were charged $1+ for additional toppings ($1 for minced garlic and $1.25 for bacon on only half of a 10" pizza). We meandered on in for an early Sunday lunch. We were met with a friendly greeting and able to pick our seat. They have some Sunday family specials. We started with a small order of the Jojo potatoes which was a generous portion for our family of 4. The kids split a 10" and mom and dad split the 14" Alfredo pizza with half marinara. The pizza was delicious and we especially loved dipping our crust into the provided honey available at every table. I had the most delicious dessert like baked apple pie beer by Wicked D's cider that paired wonderfully with the pizza. We will be back. read more

We walked in really hoping this would be a good pizza place--you know, a place that we wanted to come back to. Sadly, that did not happen. The place was empty when we walked in other than one table of people outside. We were greeted by one of the two girls working, sat down and our server came over, brought menus and asked us if we wanted waters. Waiting....waiting....no waters. By that time a table of 7 had come in and our server seemed overwhelmed at the prospect of having to serve two tables at once, dropped us and was focused on them. We had to get her attention and asked for the waters....plural. You know, the waters (plural) that you asked us if we wanted when we first sat down just several minutes ago? Clearly annoyed she hurriedly brought us ONE water. ????? Um, ok? The place appears clean on the surface but as soon as we sat down I could tell that no one pays attention to cleaning the small stuff like S&P shakers and menus, etc. Prices are high--but on par with every other "sports bar type" pizza place in town. Just another cookie cutter wanna-be "upscale" pizza place with more focus on wall to wall TVs and loud music than providing good service and making good food. Too bad--we don't care if you're trendy--- we were just looking for good pizza. We got our pizza and although I am not a fan of cracker thin pizza crust, the flavor was there and it was actually quite good for what it was. I don't know that I will be in a hurry to come back for the prices you pay for such a scant product--but it was ok. When we were almost done, our server (I don't have her name because under "server" it only says "Day Shift" on our receipt) came over and we asked if they had any other crust options. "Day Shift" said no, they only have gluten free--but if people want a thin crust they just stretch the dough thinner. "Day Shift" walked away and we both looked at each other--mouths dropped open, kind of laughed and said (to each other) "Thinner than what we just had?" It was funny because as we were eating we both commented on the fact that the crust was paper thin and we didn't know how it would even hold another topping. This was a conversation between the two of us--AT OUR TABLE, a good 15 feet away from our server--who apparently felt it necessary to listen in on our conversation. From the register behind the counter she yelled across the restaurant (by this time filled with more customers) with a huge attitude and rudely barked at us--assuming there was something wrong with our pizza. Are you serious? This isn't junior high--and I am confident when I say you have better things to do with your time than heckling paying customers and interrupting their private conversations. You know, like actually serve customers the items they ask for--that YOU offered. Or maybe you could wipe down the smeared, dirty menus--or clean the tops of the red pepper flake and parmesan containers...? They are disgusting. Even though I didn't really care for your pizza crust, we were ok with our selection and even the on-the-high-side prices. What we are NOT OK with is being waited on by immature, rude, petty CHILDREN. This is what happens when business owners don't hire a grown-up to be in charge. It is 100% OUR RIGHT to rate your pizza and talk about what we liked or disliked. WE were NOT loud---like you. WE were NOT rude--like you. So, "Day Shift", I hope the larger table of 7 that you dropped us for left you a generous tip---because we only left you 42 cents....and you were worth every penny. Not a huge surprise that servers are rude and immature--the owner is passive aggressive and implied I was lying about our rotten experience here. When the person in charge is petty and reacts like the teenage girls he has working for him, good luck getting treated with any respect in this place. read more

We had planned on going to Wasabi for our Grandsons 23rd Birthday but while there at 11:30 they put up a sign saying they wouldn't open until 1pm. Our Grandson loves Sushi, but he also loves Pizza so we took our party of seven and went next door and we had drinks, appetizers, Pizza, and a Dessert Birthday Pizza. Service was good, food was better than I was expecting and we will definitely go back. I figured I got off easy at half of what it would have cost me at Wasabi. Everyone enjoyed everything and the Grandson was happy with his Birthday party luncheon. If you desire a good time with good food and service give this place a try, we may even drive over there again sometime for a football gathering in the near future. This place is amazing great service and there pizza is some of the best in town. Great place to watch a game relax and hang out!

I think we must need to "eat in" to experience the 5 star rating this place has from many others. We got our order to go, didn't check it when picking it up and found it overcooked and slightly burnt by the time we got home . This was our first and only visit here and it was late so could have just been in a rush or an off night. I would definitely try it again, but the first experience didn't blow me away. Nice little restaurant, clean, with great space. The service was great, he always checked with us to see if we were doing ok. He brought requested items quickly, food came out in timely fashion, he was quick with the bill. My hubby and I ordered salads and pizza. The salads were fresh crispy and good dressings, but a little over priced for a small salad. My hubby and I are watching our carbs and they made our crust a little thinner. It was delicious pizza LOVED it..great crust, sauce, cheese and all the toppings our pizza was made to order... it was a great pizza! My hubby wanted the crust just a little more crisp but I was happy with it. Other friends and family ordered different types of pizza and all were amazing! My husband had a craving for pizza today, & McClain's was close by. We were a bit confused initially, since it looks more like a bar than a pizzeria inside. We seated ourselves away from the bar, and after fumbling with the drink menu for a bit, the waitress finally came over & gave us the actual menus. We had noticed the sign out front that said their Monday special is $5 off any large pizza, so we ordered a large Roslyn. While we waited for our order to cook, we played with the Trivial Pursuit cards behind the bench seats. Our pizza arrived, & it was delicious, but due to the grease we needed more napkins. I'm also clumsy and knocked my water all over the pizza, but the waitress came to the rescue with a couple bar towels & more napkins. Even slightly soggy, the cashews on the Roslyn gave it a unique texture, although the whole wheat crust was more than enough texture for me (I'm a white-bread kind of girl). The waitress' suggestion of honey on the crust was a good one! Even with the $5 off, our pizza was over $20, but we did still have half a pizza to take home with us afterwards. 2 slices of the large is a decent meal for one person. If I was only rating the waitress, she would get 5 stars. read more

We Love McClains! The Staff is Awesome. Although they do get Busy at times, they do their best to take care of you. They get to know their Regulars quickly, and make you feel at home. The Food is Great- Biggest Calzones I've ever had, and decently priced. Pizza Tastes Great- just try to visit during their Specials nights/Happy Hour for the best bargains/prices, otherwise a little pricey but great quality. They rotate in New Local Beers on Tap, so you can find a new Regional favorite without having to buy a bottle/six-pack. Definitely recommended. read more

We first went here for a company party and I can't believe how great it was! We have come back several times since. I haven't had a bad thing there. My absolute favorite is the buffalo wings. I don't know what they put on them, but they are amazing. We have also had the taco pizza and it was a bit pricey for the size, but well worth it for the taste. Their pizza deserves 4 stars, their service deserves 1 or 2. We waited about 20 minutes before being seated at the bar, only to wait almost 15 more minutes before anyone even acknowledged us! I had to ask (two times) for someone to come take our order. When we FINALLY got our pizza, it was really really good - but we were all a little bit annoyed with the poor service. I just tried this pizza place tonight and thought it was okay. I loved the Caesar salad which had the best dressing I have tasted locally for a Caesar salad. The pizza was merely okay. Nothing extra special about it. It may have just been the type I ordered because I had to appeal to bland eaters in my extended family. I would have gotten the Greek on my own and will probably do that in the future. I am willing to give the pizza a pass as average pizza. not too greasy, decent crust, a bit lacking in the sauce department, and ample toppings. The restaurant itself was quite noisy so my hard of hearing mother could hear none of the conversations going on the whole time we were there. Been buying pizza here for years, literally since they opened. We were actually one of the contractors who worked on the place with the original owners. Love their pizza. Today my daughter and I went there for lunch and I decided to try something other then pizza. My daughter had the kids Mac and cheese and she loved it. I ordered the chicken Alfredo. First off, they didn't have any Alfredo noodles so they asked to substitute macaroni noodles and that was just fine with me. But when I received the food, I started mixing it up a bit and right off the bat, it seemed pretty obvious there was no Alfredo sauce. If you peeled back the backed cheese layer on top, which did taste very good, there was no sauce anywhere to be found. If you had a bite that did not include some of the baked cheese layer, it was just cooked noodles.... I mentioned it to the gentleman helping us and was told the chef just must not have put enough on. I really question that any was put on to begin with. If there was, it must have been clear. We got a $2.75 discount, on a $16 meal, that I could barely eat half of because again once the cheese layer on top was gone, it was just cooked noodles. Really unfortunate because we love their pizza, but this will definitely change how often we order from here in the future. Giving two stars instead of one because my daughter said she loved her meal. read more
