Ample seating with a few table options outdoors, themed interior that feels like you're getting the Italian experience. We only ordered one appetizer, one pizza, and one dessert since we had a late lunch. For our appetizer we had the jalapeño poppers which were tasty, but tiny. It made for about two bites of food each. We got the pepperoni and pineapple pizza... The crust was quite charcoally on the bottom and made for a bitter flavor while the rest of the dough didn't seem fully cooked. We've been trying to go to some pizza places around town that we haven't been to, so we've had some really amazing pizza -- comparatively this just didn't hit the spot. We ordered their dessert special, a banana tiramisu, which was probably the best thing we had. I hate to say it, but the food was really just a 3/5. And on the pricier side. I can see from previous reviews that people have had really great dining experiences here and you can tell it's an authentic, family centered restaurant, maybe we need to give it another try!

About half of the people got pizza and half got pasta. The pizza dough sold itself. And the cool pizza oven near the kitchen is awesome! Pasta dishes were very fresh tasting and definitely authentic Italian food. Trisha( owner/chef) is very talented! I was the host so didn't have enough time to eat while dining in, but I got spaghetti to go. See the photo...meatballs were bigger than my fist Just trust me and go get food here. Then make room for dessert. GOOEY BROWNIE COOKED IN THE PIZZA OVEN TOPPED WITH ICE CREAM!?! WHATTTTTTT

Ciccarelli's -- Coeur d'Alene…read more As someone who has traveled extensively -- including throughout Italy, one of my favorite places on earth -- I do not say this lightly: Ciccarelli's serves some of the finest pizza I have ever eaten. And I mean anywhere. Italy included. There is something almost impossible to describe about truly exceptional pizza. At a certain level, words begin to fail because great pizza is not analyzed... it's experienced. It's the kind of food that causes conversations to stop mid-sentence because everyone at the table suddenly realizes something special is happening. That's Ciccarelli's. I've lived in Coeur d'Alene barely three weeks and my wife and I have already been there three times. At this point, resistance appears futile. Every pizza we've tried has been a masterpiece. Not "really good." Not "our favorite in town." Masterpiece. The crust alone deserves poetry -- blistered, wood-fired perfection with that delicate balance of crispness, chew, char, and tenderness that only happens when people truly understand dough. Every ingredient tastes intentional. Nothing feels thrown together. Every bite -- from the tip of the slice to the outer crust -- is a full gastronomic experience. Favorites so far: THAT'S AMORE -- red sauce, pepperoni, Italian sausage, red onion, black olives & mozzarella. THE SPICY ITALIAN -- spicy red sauce, pesto, Italian sausage, red onions, fresh mozzarella, parmesan & basil. Ridiculously good. THE STELLA -- olive oil base, goat cheese, prosciutto, apricot preserves & honey drizzle. Sweet, savory, luxurious, and somehow perfectly balanced. And the Pizza Margherita... Listen carefully: A Margherita pizza is the ultimate truth serum for a pizza restaurant. You cannot hide behind toppings. It exposes everything -- crust, sauce, cheese, balance, restraint, technique. Ciccarelli's passes that test with flying colors. Their Margherita has become my weekly sustenance pizza. And then... The desserts. Good grief. Most restaurants treat dessert like an afterthought. Ciccarelli's treats it like a sacred continuation of the meal. I am slowly working my way through their dessert offerings, but I keep getting derailed by the BLACK BOTTOM COCONUT CREAM PIE. I have been eating coconut cream pie for over seventy years. Seventy. I have NEVER had anything like this pie. The rich saturation of flavor... the generous texture of real coconut... the black bottom... whatever culinary sorcery is occurring back there needs to be protected by national treaty. It is so good that you could honestly justify visiting Ciccarelli's solely for dessert. Also outstanding: * Piña Colada Cream Pie * Strawberry Shortcake Torte * Napoleon * Cannoli The restaurant itself is immaculate, intimate, warm, and beautifully designed. Seating is limited, however, and deservedly so. My advice? Get there early or go on a weekday if possible. They also offer lovely outdoor seating. And finally, the family behind it all. There is something unmistakable about a place built by people who genuinely love what they do, love each other, and love the experience they are creating for others. You can feel it the moment you walk in. That kind of thing cannot be faked. Ciccarelli's is not merely a restaurant. It's one of those rare places people discover and then quietly hope doesn't become too famous because they still want to get a table. An absolute gem in Coeur d'Alene.

The service was genuinely positive and friendly--our server was attentive without being overbearing, full of great recommendations, and clearly enjoyed making sure everyone was happy. It felt like dining with friends rather than being "served." But the real star of the show was the food. Every dish was high quality, beautifully presented, and bursting with amazing flavors. The ingredients tasted fresh and thoughtfully combined--nothing felt forced or overly complicated, just pure deliciousness in every bite. What impressed me most was the value. The prices are surprisingly reasonable for the level of quality and execution you get--excellent portions, premium ingredients, and flavors that punch way above the price point. Our server greeted us promptly and took our drink order that was delivered shortly after. My wife order the Caprese salad and I had the Caesar salad. Both were very good. My wife ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and I ordered the Roasted chicken pasta dish. When we received our entrees my wife's dish had oddly shaped bits of chicken(she didn't order the chicken) and was lacking the Parmesan cheese. My entree didn't have the bacon or pickled fennel and was a bit soupy. The manager did come over and we let her know how we felt about our entrees and she offered us dessert. Over all the service was great. The entrees a bit of a let down. One last thing, please clean up the cheese that was left on the floor all night.

We were in a mood for pasta-- and this one popped up on Yelp. It was nice we didn't have a wait. There was a nice regular stream of folks entering in and out so we were glad we picked this place. Food was good. For appetizers, we ordered the Rotolo. It's a blob of mozzarella cheese covered with dough and baked with Parmesan cheese on top. It was YUMMY. The Pomodoro sauce on the side was banging. For mains, we ordered the Chardonnay Alfredo, pomodoro pasta, and a Margherita pizza. Pastas were excellent. The Alfredo had a sweetness, which I am guessing came from the Chardonnay they might have made with. It was a bit too cheesy for me, but flavor was great. The vegetarian Pomodoro was delicious as well. Pizza was totally meh. Talking of more disappointment, let's talk about the wait times and service. We ordered drinks for two people. Only one came. We kept waiting for the second one for almost 20 minutes. Turns out the waitress had forgotten. Once we reminded her, she brought it promptly. The appetizer came after another 20 minutes. The entrees came after another 20-25 minutes. Yep, an hour. Was the food worth the wait? Not when you are hungry!

My last visit there, after my first review, was, maybe, a little strange.. I had brought my date to the restaurant. The waitress/bar tender in question, 'and my date' had a conversation. Not sure if it was weird for them. Ok...what's my point, Is it paranoia, or is the waitress avoiding me??; that was the question in my brain today. the manager finally came. BTW (the waitress in question told me THIS manager is aware of developments between her and i). The manager finally ended up serving me. Did seem very cheerful? No. Just doing his job. When i finished my food. I asked the maître D. to please say "hi" to her, the waitresd in quetion. She said, she'd do that for me. It seemed, apperantly, that she was there. But, but....again!.....i tell you,,,, Boy was the food good, AGAIN!! THE GREEN SALAD with cranberries is to die for. "Really good"! I have been there many times, and the food is ALWAYS good, TOP NOTCH. BUT, but.....The staff was stand-offish. As i write these words in this review, i sound paranoid, suspisious, don't i? But am i? You be the judge. Tito's you get 3 stars because i am a pretty frequent customer, but i wasn't feeling very welcomed.

We ordered Chicken Al Diavolo and Sea Food Fettuccine. The chicken was sparse and looked like frozen grilled chicken that was heated, maybe three pieces. The menu said there was carrots, celery, artichoke (one piece) and other veggies, also very sparse. The Sea Food Fettuccine had very small clams and salad type shrimp very sparse. Both entrees sauces were very tasty. The salad was great, bread was ok. The butter was very good and had rosemary in it (delicious). The menu stated to ask the waitress for dessert options, it was a celebration of our anniversary so we asked. She stated there were no desserts, but if there was one it would be chocolate lava cake or cheesecake. The dinner came with ice cream so we opted for Vanilla. To our surprise the ice cream did not come in a bowl scooped, but in a small plastic ice cream container with a spoon stuck in it. What a disappointment. $70.00 later and we were out of the restaurant. I wish we would have gone to the Olive Garden at least we would have known what we were getting for our $$. We did order one appetizer for $12.00. It felt like this business would not be in business too much longer I am sorry, but I would rather cook at home then spend $80.00 (including the tip) here.

The ambiance is very tacky to say the least. There are these tacky fake vines hanging from a very white painted fake gazebo look. It feels like a cheap patio setting. If they cleaned up the atmosphere and brought in a warmer setting it may feel more like a nice Italian restaurant. The food was ok. We've gone several times now with friends and no one had positive reviews on what they ordered. It was ok is all was said. Clean up the atmosphere, it's time.
