Good food but strange service. The drink menu didn't have prices and when we asked the server, she wouldn't tell us any prices. We ordered drinks and food, and later asked for water which she never brought, we had to ask another server. The food was good but service vibe was weird.

Food was good, we got the Nashville hot chicken wings and they were super crispy and got a good portion. The burgers were really good and large. The salad was alright nothing special about it but it was how it was described. The service was quick and friendly.

Good food, good service, good prices, generous portions. Been there several times. A little crowded at times but still worth it.

Pretty decent bar. I would say a little more on the expensive side as well as pretty cramped.

There's a strange-looking critter up top along with just random stuff riddled around the bar, and a bunch of popular beers on tap. All the staff were really friendly (shout out to Kevin!), and they were on top of keeping drinks filled. I also ordered some food - a double smash burger and some fries. Both were really tasty - that burger was really juicy! Great fixings on that burger, but it's a bit on the small side, so if hungry, probably a good idea to order the extra patty. Fries were really good too. They take cash or card, and they hold on to your card in a cup near the register until you close out - not what I've usually seen, but makes sense, I suppose. I'd return for another hangout with the guys! Kevin, come toss some discs with us!

While a change in ownership occurred recently, the new team has wisely kept the "time capsule" vibe intact--think dark wood, dim lighting, and a total lack of pretension. The kitchen doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, and that's exactly why people love it. The Burgers: Often cited as some of the best in the area, these are classic, juicy bar burgers. They recently introduced a "smash burger" style that has been winning over even the most stubborn regulars. The Cheesesteaks: You won't find any touristy gimmicks here. These are authentic, local-style cheesesteaks--perfectly chopped meat, plenty of cheese, and served on a roll that actually holds up to the grease. This is a Philly sports bar to its core. The walls are adorned with years of sports memorabilia, and when the Eagles are playing, the atmosphere is electric. It's the neighborhood's unofficial living room for Sunday games. You'll find multi-generational fans shouting at the TVs, cold domestic drafts in hand, and a level of camaraderie that you only get in a place that's been around for 90+ years.

She brought samples as full 5oz pours. Never once asked my wife for her opinion on what sample was sufficient....not once. That is absolutely unheard of....even the worst breweries I've been to still follow up with their customers. The food was greasy. Also, when you're at a brewery, the first thing you should nail down as a server is what are people drinking in the terms of BEER. She was ready to start with the food before the beer. The whole experience was confusing. Secondly, a Pilsner came out that wasn't even ours. And the woman who brought that one out looks like she was out in space land. The bill came out and she charged for the 5 ounce pours. I caught her BS and she said I'm sorry. I'll take it off and then apologized that she had been off for a week of work and then followed up with me before we left and said she was "out of it." What waitress admits that they're out of it? Maybe she was smoking the sticky icky before she got to work. Either she needs retrained or find another job. I would buy Tired Hands at a restaurant, but we're never going back to their location.

I was in the area with a few friends and was glad to return. I tried a small pour of their Fiona, which is a nice and light winter-spiced beer. I also tried their gin and jam cocktail, which was potent with a nice hint of sweetness from the jam, but not overpoweringly so. We didn't order any food, but it was nice to chit-chat with the bartenders. The space is cozy and chill in contrast to the Fermentaria's bustling atmosphere.

Hopefully any issues with the brewery is going through can be resolved and any measures to get back on track takes place. I stumbled across with internet brewery exploration Tired Hands and immediately fell in love with their swag. So for a while now I've been purchasing t shirts and hoodies through their online store. It wasn't until just recently I had the opportunity to try two of their beers in which Steve and I both enjoyed considerably. To start we got the Trendler Dopplebock which had a delightful caramel, toffee and malty flavors in the beer which made the beer pretty enjoyable to drink. The beer we really liked however was a session stout, a type of stout that you don't come across very often. This beer was called the Crushable Void which had a great smooth, roasty, creamy and malty flavors with a low ABV . Like all session beers they are made to drink at a slow pace throughout the day and this stout definitely fits into that category nicely. *Update* Thanks to a fellow Yelper there is another Tired Hands location that remains open under a separate Yelp entry, the Tired Hands Fermentaria remains open. Thank you fellow Yelper for the additional information

The Palombaro Club is one of two private social clubs in Ardmore. They are both on the same block of County Line Road, hence the name "Big Club" (the other club, the IACCA, is the "Little Club" because it's 1/3 the size). They have been here for a very long time, easily 40 years or more. The venue itself has an upper floor with a large hall, stage, long bar and catering kitchen. There's also a coat room and restrooms in the vestibule. The space with catering tables could hold 75 with a dance floor, 100 - 125 without a dance area. It is clean, well kept, not 'elegant' but also not 'tacky'. There are two flat screen TVs above the bar, for us we had them broadcast the playoff game which made folks happy. There is no smoking permitted in the large hall. The lower level is the social club with a larger bar, smaller tables, much more of a bar/club environment (people do smoke cigarettes down there, but you could not smell or hear anything from downstairs when on the upper floor). They sometimes will rent that out (Superbowl party, anyone?). This is a club run by the members, Charlie is the 'coordinator' for rentals, he is a sweet, straight-talking guy who works professionally as a glazer. He can be a bit hard to get and is not always at the club, but he is a seriously nice and accommodating man. They do not have a website or a club email, you call the club and ask for Charlie. He does return calls pretty quickly. Now the BEST part? Almost shamefully inexpensive. Your party dollar will go far with them. They supply a bartender and the alcohol (you can specify what options you want to offer, they run an open tab for you or you can cash bar). You supply the caterer, they do not have restrictions on who can be brought in, and you supply the entertainment (band, DJ, iPod). Plus, you're supporting a longstanding social club in the area. We had a wonderful event there and will definitely be back!
