This was the perfect restaurant for a larger group! We were able to make a reservation the day before for 12 people and they had us in a nice area. We were well taken care of and the food was great! We were there celebrating a family member's birthday and they allowed us to bring our own birthday cake for them to store in a fridge. We are local to the Kitsap Peninsula and have been eagerly awaiting the "Boat Shed" experience...wow, disappointment raised to the power of 10. We had a very nice server, however she never even asked whether we wanted a second drink - fair as we most certainly didn't. I ordered the special margarita (dragon fruit and mango) - instead I got downgraded to the house margarita which tasted like sh$tty margarita mix sans tequila. This absolutely terrible drink was served in a tumbler sized glass full of ice, as if I would not realize the drink scam going on here. My wife ordered a strawberry basil summer cooler - it lacked flavor and even the hint of ETOH. Well, that was the highlight of our onetime only experience. The food was completely lacking in seasoning - the chefs must have been trained in Poulsbo. My best guess, drunk boaters do not care that the food is not well cooked and under seasoned. Given their likely inebriated state, they probably also don't care that they are being given drinks with almost no alcohol and even worse execution. Caveat Emptor read more

My first visit to the Boat Shed last summer was a great experience. My sunsequent visits sadly, have been disappointing. Yesterday, a couple friends and I visited. Two of us ordered the fish tacos and the third ordered the shrimp sandwich. The fish tacos were blandly seasoned and dry. The only sauce accompaniment was a simple and stale pico mix. The flour shell was not cooked. I hate unheated, lard-forward flour shells. I thought of sending it back, but what was the point? They didn't care, and so much was wrong - no sauce, no seasoning. Over-cooked pre-cooked bland fish. No attempt at cooking the shells. The restaurant is adorable which makes the fact that it's set aside any ambitions with their product all the more a sad waste. read more

Ugh. I haven't been here in 4 years as I live out of town. The portion sizes are abysmal for the crazy cost. I remember when the fish and chips were a great portion. What my fiancé got was literally the size of a table knife. He left still hungry which is a first. I got the cioppino and almost laughed at the lack of sauce. Then had to pay for bread to dip in! I came here as my best friend recommended it and it did not disappoint. This restaurant has a waterfront view and the food is delicious. I tried the award winning clam chowder, crab and shrimp stuffed mushroom and halibut fish and chips. Everything was tasty but my favorite was the stuffed mushroom. Great choice of a restaurant if in Bremerton, WA. Portion was plentiful in my entree of clam linguine as well as very tasty! Cup of clam chowder and crab & shrimp stuffed mushrooms were great appetizer choices. It was quite busy both on the patio and the inside dining room. Hostess was very sweet & quick to wrangle a server that appeared a good 10-15 after being sat. Despite not having silverware when the food came and lack luster service, I would still very much recommend this spot and try again with high hopes of better service next time. Stopped in here with an hour to kill and was VERY pleasantly surprised! We sat for a bit before ordering and our waitress was great and very attentive. We ended up realizing it was Happy Hour so we ordered the burger and a beer deal for $16. It was hands down the best cooked burger we've had in a while. Traditional cheeseburger with 2 patties, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, pickles and 1000 island. The fries were absolutely great and well and the real test was their ranch. Perfect! We stopped here for lunch after touring the nearby USS Turner Joy Navy ship. We were looking for a seafood restaurant with a view. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Multiple people helped us during our meal. The restaurant was clean. My only gripe with the hostess, was seating us right next to an occupied table when the rest of the dining room around us was completely empty. I don't understand why people do this. Some privacy is always nice. We don't need to hear strangers conversations and they don't need to hear ours. It's just too close for comfort. Anyway, we ordered the side Ceasar salad, cup of clam chowder and the steamed manila clams. The food came out fairly quickly. The clam chowder was really good. Plenty of clams and flavor. The steamed clams were great as well. The rustic bread served with them was nice and fresh. The disappointing part of the meal was the brown lettuce in the salad. I should have sent it back. The house made dressing was really good and they put a nice amount of shredded parmesan on top. Overall a nice experience. The majority of food was great, service super friendly, and gorgeous views! This is one of those places that you can go to often and never get tired of. It's on the water and has plenty of seats to enjoy the view. It cozy and comfortable. The food is delicious. There are cocktails, beer and wine . We enjoyed our dinner very much and tried the salmon, shrimps, fish and chips, stuffed mushrooms and a bowl of chowder. It was sever hot and enjoyed by all. The deck! Wow! We were in Bremerton for renovation reasons and got hungry. The Boat Shed looked like a great location so we decided to stop in for a late lunch/early dinner. It took a minute to be greeted and seated which wasn't surprising at 3:30. We ordered the steamed Manila clams for an app and the wasabi salmon and seared scallops for our entrees. The clams were great and we devoured them quickly (hungry). The sear on the salmon was (chef kiss) and the wasabi aoli was very good. The scallops were also perfectly seared. All the dishes really exceeded expectations. We decided to split the blackberry crisp to top off our meal. It was also great! We shared the surf and turf and it was spot on. Park by the restaurant or up the hill since parking could be a challenge on popular nights. Yum! Loved the toasty cheese on top. My partner said there was barely any crab and shrimp but I could taste it. It was yum and wish they had more of it! My entree of choose was the clam linguine and let me tell you, it was everyyyyything. They did not skimp on the clams, and the sauce was chefs kiss! Creamy, garlicky and a touch of lemon. I almost never finish my meals but I killed this bowl of pasta. My mister ordered "the ketch" which was basically a club sandwich. It looked good but I enjoyed my pasta too much to care to try a bite. It's definitely recommended to come by the boat shed, especially on a beautiful day to dine on the patio. I dined here on Friday. I ordered a "special", and let me tell you, there was nothing special about it. The food was alright, bland and expensive, nothing new. My problem was with one of the workers; tall-ish, dark facial hair, might've been a manager based on how he was speaking to the other workers. I found it entirely unprofessional, truly sickening to see such disrespectful speaking towards your staff. Was super impressed with the place. All of my pictures are ambiance, I forgot to take any of the food. Their menu is wide ranging American pub food. Something for everyone. I wasn't super hungry so I had fish tacos, fries and an iced tea but they also have more substantial meals. The fish tacos were tasty and healthy, cod was grilled not breaded. The fries were also very good (hey gotta have balance ). The place is a little hard to find, trust your nav app. You drive down a narrow road at the end but can easily turn around for the return trip out. read more

First of all, the ambiance here is everything. The outdoor patio is beautiful on a summer day. It's right on the water with a dock you can walk out on. Mid afternoon we were able to get a table easily. Service was a little slow but that's really my only negative. We got water and one drink (Pepsi) but never got a refill on our drinks throughout the meal. I got the seafood pasta. It was absolutely to die for. Lots of garlic sauce with a ton of flavor, and a good amount of seafood. The scallop on top was HUGE and cooked perfectly. We also decided to get dessert! I couldn't resist the blackberry cobbler and was obsessed with it. It was a good size, served hot and with so many blackberries! You would expect at the least a full plate of food if you're paying 25$ a meal and to be full after the meal but I was still starving, even after they took an hour and a half to bring out the food. One of my friends got her steak comped for her because they took too long to make it. But my fish and chips was highly disappointing. 2 singular small half pieces of fish with like a handful of fries. I was still hungry after spending 41$ there with a beer. A crappy pint at that. I think if you're going to charge $12-15 per drink the small glass we received should be filled to the brim.
