I've been going to Dr. McConnell for a little over a year for allergy shots. I started out with the rapid desensitization (which builds up the resistance faster). His staff are all very nice and very professional. I love Dr. McConnell. He has been very supportive, especially with my lousy insurance. Since starting the allergy shots, I think I've only had one sinus infection and that was right at the beginning of treatment. The shots have made a world of difference with my allergies. So while everyone around me at work is coughing, sneezing and complaining about their allergies this season, I can sit back and breathe freely. read more

Let me start by saying the only reason they got one star is because it wouldn't let me post this review with zero stars. This group of unprofessionals are the worst! I was a first time patient needing to be seen for my allergies, and I originally called and scheduled my appointment for a 2:15pm slot a week and a half prior to. Well as do they, I work full time and unfortunately something came up at work and instead of rescheduling my allergy appointment for another day I called and asked the scheduler/receptionist if they had any availability for me to arrive a little later, she told me that wasn't a problem and that they usually schedule appointments for every 15 min and that I would be seen by the Doctors nurse anyway so she said 2:45 would work. I get stuck in traffic and I call back to let them know I was running late and ask would I still be able to be seen or should I rescheduled for another day or time since they schedule in 15 min intervals. The scheduler/receptionist said as long as I get there no later then 15 min from 2:45pm (my appointment time) then I'd be able to be seen. I get there at 2:58pm, I apologized for my tardiness the receptionist gave me forms to fill out. I hadn't even walked off to sit down and fill them out before this scorning witch of a nurse comes from out of the back saying "she'll have to wait since she was late". I said that's not a problem because I did admit I was late, I asked how long would I have to wait, she said an hour to two hours!! I said I was 13 minutes late and I called ahead to see if I'd still be able to be seen and I was told as long as I wasn't more then 15 minutes late, now you're telling me I have to wait 1-2 hrs to be seen?? With the most disgusting look on her face she looked at me and said well she wasn't the one who told me that and pointed to the receptionist (because she's the one who told me that). Then the nasty nurse repeated herself again saying because I was late yes I'd have to wait or reschedule my appointment. I stopped acknowledging the nurse at this point and I looked at the receptionist since she's the one who misinformed me over the phone and obviously wasn't aware that I'd have to wait that long to be seen because if she was I'm sure she would've told me that information when I called informing her I'd be late and asking if I'd still be seen. I originally told her I was on break from work and that I couldn't wait that long so I'd have to just reschedule then after a second I thought about how ugly and rude the nurse had just been to me, mind you I'm a new patient and first impressions are everything. So I told the receptionist I found it very unprofessional that this is how you all do business, I left work and drove all the way out here to be seen and to tell me I'd be seen as long as I wasn't more then 15min late then when I get here and aren't more then 15 min late this nurse tells me I have to wait 1-2 hrs to be seen is unacceptable and I will just find another allergist to go to. She apologized and I left. Like I stated, I work full time and put work on pause to drive 27 mi just to be turned around is completely unacceptable. I should not have had to be penalized for the lack of communication between the nurse and scheduler/receptionist! So not only did I waist my time and money but now I have to find another allergist!!! It's not what you say but how you say it, and the way I was treated by the staff here was disgusting and I do not recommend ANYONE go here!!! read more
