But due to the cost of the medication I had to go a week without it. I surfer from severe sleep issues. Just in the week I have not had my medicine I have been falling asleep at work, which could cost me my job. I came in today, only to get turned around because Dr. Hughes refuses to prescribe this medicine. This costed me a whole day of work, which I can't miss another day for weeks now to see Dr. Hanby. I asked if there was anything else he could do to help and was denied even that. Even if I couldn't get the medication I could have at least gotten some kind of help, instead of being completely turned away. This was completely unprofessional behavior and I want to know what the owner is going to do to rectify this situation.

I thought about just doing teledoc, I have insurance. They do not accept insurance here. The only reason I come here is that it's usually fairly quick and easy care. This experience may be the reason that I won't come back. The entire clinic is pin drop quiet and I'm in here watching movies waiting for service.

Would not recommend…read more We formally left their practice after their staff was rude, unprofessional -- only to receive what were oddly personal memos in the (certified) mail from Associates of Internal Medicine indicating they were termination the client patient relationship. Prior to receiving their memo, I asked for a full copy of my medical records -- which they are required to provide at my expense. Unfortunately I was forced to file a Texas Medical Board complaint as they were not making records available. Not surprisingly records were available within 24 hours thereafter. The voice mails they tended to leave near 4:59 pm asking for something were nicely timed -- especially when their answering service kicked-in right at 5pm leaving you no way to contact their office. You're in a service industry. Differentiate yourselves. Be available, personable, and above all professional. On time appointments would also be helpful knowing you are not open after most people are off work. Recommend you identify another provider in the area.

In all I went in about 12 times for different tests or followups. Never really got answers. The equipment in the office is faulty. Stress test didn't work, and when they took my blood pressure a couple of different times it was off the charts, one time it errored out, and caused bruises, but when they checked manually it was good. (I don't have high blood pressure), the tech said "oh do you have a blood clot in the other arm?" What? Insinuating that I had a blood clot and that is what caused the error. The office staff is probably the worst I have ever encountered. They can't answer questions, and will literally lie with excuses. When I finally found a new cardiologist, (only because I needed clearance for a hip surgery) he was shocked at the amount of testing that was done. The only meds I am on is one aspirin a day and she told me exercise and eat healthy. Racked up alot of bills, because it was so excessive the insurance quit covering it. She also charges to talk to you on the phone. And will charge twice in one day, if you use the at home heart monitor. I think the dr is very knowledgeable and if I had actually had a problem maybe she would have helped me. But the staff and faulty equipment make the experience awful.

Complicated because they only do each test on certain days of the week (so stress tests only on Tuesdays, echo's only on Wednesdays, etc.). After the three tests, Dr. Farah didn't go over the results. She only told me there was an abnormality, and I needed two more tests. I was terrified. When the front office scheduled those tests for 6 weeks later, I wondered if I needed to go to the ER since I might die in the next 6 weeks from this abnormality. After those tests, Dr. Farah said "low risk" but recommended more tests. After the next test, I watched her write "mild" in her notes, but then she recommended a medication that would dramatically change my lifestyle (she also undersold the side effects as I later learned). I sought a second opinion. He said all of my results were what he'd expect for an average 50 year old who cycles a lot (he took the time to know that I bicycle 5,000-10,000 miles a year; she ignored that when I volunteered the information). I will never go back to Dr. Farah. I wasted $500 in copays and a lot of my time.
