We agreed that there was a nice replacement and he would order it and put my car on the rack to see if he could do anything. I went out of town for the weekend and after my $650 deposit on the replacement transmission he decided that it didn't need it when he got it up on the rack. So when I came back to pick it up he said he practically rebuilt it only for another $650. Without my consent on what should be done to my car he made his decision. When I showed up to pick it up and ask for a receipt he told me to take his word. So if you're looking for a crook tax evading liar this is your shop to go to.

The man (Steve) manager he called himself told me it misfires and so it will cost us 1500 to have the torque converter replaced that it was broken . I said " it's under warranty " he said " No your misfire caused it to break" ok folks , I have spoke to many people in the business and one a master mechanic of 40 years and 3 shops and there is no way a misfire caused the torque converter to break. I explained this to the shop. They still refuse to honor the warranty. I have since called the better business Bureau of springfield and I will not stop until they do something or I do something about this. I am writing this review because I want to warn others that this is wrong very wrong. Ps I had Steve write on my paper the reason why and the man even wrote it on my paper because it misfires.

He got me in that afternoon! Got there, and they were so kind, and so helpful. Very thorough and professional. They worked with me in dropping off and picking up. Also explained in detail what needed to be done and why! Even pulled up a picture to show me what was being replaced because I had no idea what it was he was talking about. They even went out of their way to check the car for additional safety issues (without me having to ask) and noticed I needed to replace a master drive belt (pretty sure that's what it was called?) which I am beyond grateful for considering I do NOT want to get stuck on the side of the road. Also important, I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for their help, and he looked at, and quoted a tail light issue thoroughly! These guys will have all of my future business. Charge me 2 hours diagnostics Plus inspection fee Don't know why they charge me inspection fee when they had not fixed The light Should not have taken 2 hours to tell me. One of the three things, they could not hear noise (which was very obvious). Did not need a diagnostic of entire vehicle or ask for it, from Diagnostic, had long list of items to repair that I did not ask for. Just paid for diagnostic and left. Felt very scammed and ripped off. Would not recommend. Had previously been to Campbell Automotive with no issues but was not the case now. Very disappointed and felt cheated. They had my vehicle for 5 weeks and the issue was still not resolved so I told them I needed it back. When I went to pick up the vehicle the guy behind the counter was rude and insulted me. Took the vehicle home and had it fix in a day and it ended up being an issue I had expressed to them twice I thought could be the potential problem. The owner seems like a nice enough guy and didn't charge me anything but I was still out 5 weeks of not having my vehicle. My biggest complaint is the treatment I received from the guy in the front office at the desk. He needs to learn how to speak to customers.
