That last point is huge for me, and a big part of why I keep coming. Any woman who has tried to go to any car servicing has surely experienced that before, and not once has anyone at Pinegar talked to me like that. They've also never tried to upsell me on services, always explained to me why they do things, and they're always nice. Also, being able to drive my car straight into the garage, hand off my keys, and walk 10 feet into the waiting room, super appreciated by me, I have a disability and not having to walk and stand in line, it's very helpful. I drive out from Springfield every time because I know they're gonna treat me and my car well.

Joe told me my vehicle 100% needed a new motor due to a symptom he found in my engine and that the…read morevehicle was worth maybe $1000 if I wanted to sell it without repairing it. I expected and planned to be out of pocket at least $5,000 and was really upset about it. I spent the money for all the parts Joe said I needed and it burnt a pretty big hole in my wallet. I then took it to Chevrolet in Springfield the very next day and they did an inspection of the motor and found the same symptoms as well. They then took my motor apart and told me to look at it with them. The head gaskets, timing chain, head bolts, and valve cover gaskets that Joe told me I needed to replace were 100% fine and needed no reason to repair. All it needed was a new thermostat housing and coolant leak to attend to. I don't believe EMS physically looked at anything in my motor and just gave me a quote for a new motor after finding one symptom that could realistically mean a lot of things that could be wrong. I ended up only paying under $500 for the repairs and the car had zero problems after the repairs and I ended up selling it for much more profit then what I bought it for. I wouldn't have a problem with any of this if Joe just took the time to physically look into the problem instead of just telling me that I needed a new motor after finding one thing wrong and then just stopped looking in to it. I just feel like they tried to cheat me in giving them $3,000 to order a new motor and pay the $2,000 in labor when all I needed was just a thermostat. I won't be taking any of my vehicles to Joe anymore. He's a very friendly man but only did half the job.

My son mentioned Hazelrigg's so I called, got an appointment scheduled and the work was done quickly and at a fair and completely normal price without trying to rob me. And my son took in his truck that had been parked, unmoved for more than 3 years and they did excellent work to get it running again at a fair price and very timely. And the desk staff is courteous, friendly and professional. The lobby is nice but bring your snacks with you as there isn't a coffee station, water bottles or vending. When I'm in Springfield if I need automotive work this is where I'm going.

I sent up a time when the mechanic could come to me and he turned a $800 Midas bill into a $300 bill. The mechanic was very nice and polite and explained what he had to do. Prices are fair (They can save you money on a tow, too.) and their lounge is comfy whether you have to wait for 30 minutes or a few hours.
