I picked up what I thought was a completed order, only to get partway home (with a cake and melting ice in the car) and realize the photos hadn't been trimmed as they were supposed to be. I had to drive all the way back to get it fixed. When I finally got home again -- now two hours later -- I opened the poster I'd ordered and discovered that it also wasn't trimmed to size. It looks sloppy and unusable. I tried calling the store to avoid another trip, but after being put on hold twice and never speaking to anyone, it seems I'll have to go back again just to get what I paid for. This is not the first time I've had issues at this location -- they've also failed to have prescriptions ready when promised in the past. I understand that mistakes happen, but there seems to be a serious lack of attention to detail and follow-through here. Not worth the stress or wasted time.

They forget things, enter incorrect orders, do not ask the right questions, and all other problems exist. If you go through the drive thru chances are you will be made to wait 10 minutes even after you reach the window as the staff inside are confused as to who they should service first. Staff do not pick up phones and there is usually a long wait. Overall very unsatisfactory in comparison to Walmart pharmacy or other pharmacies where the staff are much more alert and attentive. Only silver lining is the location of the store at the main intersection is good and all meds are generally available.

I have actually never left a review before, but after yesterday and today I am so upset with the…read moreway Walgreens in Elkhorn handled my husband's prescription, I feel I must say something. My husband had a major surgery and was prescribed a controlled substance for post op pain. I was told by the discharge nurse (this is my own fault for not double checking the RX/paperwork) that he should take his meds every 6 hours. I was making sure he did this so that his pain would stay under control. So the problem was the RX read that he was supposed to take them every 8 hours instead of 6. I asked his surgeon to send in another RX and I went to pick it up. After waiting in line for 20 minutes at the drive thru-I was told that there was a problem with my insurance (which I did not understand) but the employee at the drive thru stated that it would be ready in 10 minutes regardless. I said great...no rush...I'll just run to the grocery store and come back to get it. When I got back...I was told that it was too early to fill it which I did not understand seeing I thought it was every 6 hours. I was like...why didn't you tell me when I was here before. I will admit I was probably a bit snippy. I said that I realize that they are very busy but everyone's time is valuable. He had also told me that it was the pharmacist discretion whether it be filled early or not. (Which most pharmacies will fill a controlled substance 2 days early if needed.) At this point (it would have been 3 days early and he still had some) I left and had my husband call the next day to see if I could pick it up on my way home from work (for one, a snow storm was coming the next day) and he will be out by the 10th day due to (I admit my fault for the misunderstanding and I had told them about it) to run out before and the answer was no...by law we can't pick it up until the 10 days. So with that being said, I feel really bad that my husband will be in pain and after I pick up that prescription...I will never go to another Walgreens again...

I was in the ER this morning and had 4 Rx's electronically sent to Walgreens. Those were sent…read moreapproximately 1:00. We needed to get home and my husband would swing by and pick them up later. I have switched to the on-line pharmacy through my insurance, Centerwell who are amazing. I only use Walgreens if I need something instantly. When my husband went to pick meds up at about 5:30 he was told 1 was out of stock, 1 was ready and 2 were waiting. The one that was not available was the antibiotic I really needed. So for for 4.5 hours it never occurred to anyone in the pharmacy to call me and lmk they did not have that one in stock. So by now it is 6:15. Walmart Pharmacy closes at 7:00. I have to call the ER, explain this snafu to them. Request that they send a new order for the antibiotics to Walmart. By now there are 27 minutes to work in and I did not get the ONLY medication important. No wonder they pull in 1 or 2 stars. Absolutely worthless, unprofessional, non-thinking mouth breathers. I will absolutely NEVER use them again. There is no thinking on their feet. There is one lady working there who actually has a handle on everything. That is Jackie. No one else is worth dealing with. Even the pharmacist was a major disappointment. PHARMACISTS know medications, but when I went to their little consultation window to ask him about my concern over a drug interaction his answer was "ask your doctor". Seriously? The behavior I experienced was unprofessional and unacceptable. Based on this experience, I will not be returning and would not recommend this pharmacy to others.
