I know there are more qualified employees than the trash customer service that handled the drive-thru tonight. The older lady is way too defensive to be operating the drive-thru. I never heard her acknowledge me at the speaker as I sat there and waited. So I pulled up to the window to give my order, and she had a lot to say but not trying to help me get my order in. It's not unheard of that orders are taken at the window. It's good customer service when they work with you instead of denying service and slamming the window shut. She needs to be fired. read more

This is hands down the positively absolute worst McDonald's on the planet. The young employees haven't got a clue about how to provide customer service or to act professionally. Order 4 McDoubles and no ketchup in the bag. You ask for ketchup and the young guy looks at you perplexed and gives you three packets of ketchup for 4 McDoubles. Ask for two large Diet Cokes and you get them 2/3's filled. Here you have to check what you've gotten before you leave. One diet coke was actually a cherry coke I discovered after driving off. Providing the simplest amount of proper customer service is a MAJOR challenge. The pavement on the grounds have potholes that haven't been repaired in YEARS! The two drive through lanes are ALWAYS backed up and it can easily take upwards of 45 minutes to get through. I stopped going in the drive through and went inside instead and pour my own drinks. I was home in 30 minutes. Had I taken the drive through I would still be waiting. WTF are they doing in there? Definitely not doing their jobs that's for dang sure. One of the most poorly run McDonald's is McDonald's Restaurant #12235 located in Indian Head, Maryland. No matter what time of day you go there or what day of the week that you go, the service in the drive Thru is beyond horrible. Now, I only order fries, a coke and/or sweet tea. I tried ordering cheeseburgers which were like rubber. The sandwich itself was cold even when you ask to have an item removed to see if the sandwich will be fresh. Today I went through the drive thru for a coke and fries. I waited in the drive thru for almost 30 minutes. Vehicles were backed up in both lines. Other vehicles were unable to even join the lines and just left. Even the employee had no idea what the hold up was. Also, as you enter the drive thru from Indian Head Highway, the parking lot needs to be repaired or repaved. Cars are moving at a fast pace on Indian Head Highway and it is difficult to rush and make a turn into the parking lot Drive Thru with damaged pavement. I am not sure who handles the inventory but all too often you wait in line or I wait in line for a coke only to be informed that the store is out of coke, There should be some way in this age of technology to inform customers before they sit. If you believe this is not the case, get in a vehicle and order in the Drive Thru. Better still sit in the passenger seat of a car and observe how the Drive Thru operates. Honestly one of the better McDonald's meals I've had. Ordered a bacon quarter pounder with cheese. Asked for no ketchup and extra pickles and actually got what I asked for. The sandwich was poorly assembled, but I don't mind that so much as long as they get the order right. Fries were cooked correctly and salted perfectly. Extremely slow service. Tried to place an order in store with my app QR code. After 6 min of trying to get the self-order machine to take the code, I finally went to the register for the cashier to tell me their store doesn't accept the app codes. So I proceeded to place a mobile order. Waited in the parking spot for them to bring the order for 15 min. After 15 min, I went into the store and asked them what's going on, again they were moving extremely slow considering they're supposed to bring the order outside. This store is going down hill and fast. It appears that they've made some management changes over the last few months, and the "chicks" they got now are horrible, and can't run their store efficiently. I went into the store two different times in the same week for nothing more than Coffee. The first day I went in the cashier told me she couldn't help me because she didn't have a cash drawer at the moment, and suggested I get in the long ass drive through line. I recently went in on 10/18/20, and waited 10 minutes before I decided to leave because they had no one to ring the front of the store. They were all focused on the drive through they hadn't even checked the line at the front, or even acknowledge the customers waiting! A lady who came in after me even wondered why there was no one at the front of the store she asked the manager, and the manager with the red hair had an attitude about it. GO Figure! Most of the time, they get the orders wrong. If you order large fries, you'll get a large fries box with medium sized portions. The wait is usually long (I.e. 5-10 minutes). People are playing on their cell phones while working the drive through. No customer service skills. Do not go there if you are in a hurry. read more

They do all this improvement to this restaurant, yet it does not deliver. The worker are running like chickens with their heads chopped off. You can place an order through a screen, because let's face it no one is ever at the register. Then a short 30 min wait you can go stand by the empty counter and inquire about your order. As blank stares look back at me I feel we have a problem. So since my order was never acknowledged I asked for my money back because I was running late. My kids cried and cried because they were hungry and I had nothing to give them. The workers care more about the mile long drive thru and forget the patrons who choose to eat inside.
