Yummmm was headed to the base on Indian Head and noticed all of these parked cars on the side of the road so you know I had to check it out. Yummmm best salmon cake I've had in a while. The potatoes were a little salty for my taste and they were. Nice and crispy. If I have to go down there I will stop again. I was there around 8 and someone came in and ordered meatloaf...which lets you know you can have anything anytime with a smile

The Lunch Box is a tasty little gem of a diner, where you can definitely get your breakfast fix! We came here for an early breakfast, and we ordered: +country fried steak - don't forget to get some fried onions to top your country fried steak! I just wished they had some type of a gravy, though +corned beef hash +chicken & cheese sub - I wasn't a fan of the chicken & cheese, but the hubs was - it was more than enough food that he also had enough for lunch the following day! +1 pancake - this was large and fluffy; super tasty! The breakfast platters came with a side of eggs, home fries (you can ask for these to be deep-fried - YAS!), and your choice of toast, while the sub came with a side of chips Staff here are welcoming and kind, and provides service with a smile; I recommend in you sitting up at the counter. They have a small lot to park your car, but there's also plenty of street parking. +deep-fried home fries! +tasty pancakes! +friendly service! +plenty of parking on the street and in their small lot +ask for counter seating

Very small homey, little restaurant, where everybody seemed to know everyone else. The waiters were all very nice and welcoming as well. It took a while for the food to come out and for the them to get us a check, but that's to be expected at such a small spot. I got the breakfast plate with a fish cake, potatoes, and scrambled eggs. The food wasn't amazing per se, but it was decent, and well cooked. I tried my mom's scrapple, and that was probably the best thing there. Overall, the restaurant had a very welcoming homey type vibe, and the food fit the restaurant.

Such a tiny, cozy, bit run down, old place with many counter seats and tables. Everyone know everyone except for me. I was the new face but everyone was SUPER friendly especially the employees! They were very efficient and work so well together but above all, the food was hot, fresh, and seasoned enough to where all i needed were a bit of salt and pepper. The grits were buttery, creamy, and hot, the fish was pipping hot, lightly coated; and crispy. This place is five minutes from house and that was my first time there and i been in the area for almost 20 years but I DEFINITELY will go back for breakfast and lunch!

I had this place randomly as I visited a friend who lived close by. The ladies are so nice in there and I loved their service. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich which was pretty good. The only thing is wrapping it up in aluminum foil made my bread a tad soggy but other than that I would eat here again.

Good food at a good price. Don't overthink it. It's diner food and it's a local establishment. Would likely go back!

They were so good that we went back on Monday before heading back home to FL. The customer service was great and the decore and setting of the place was so adorable. Here's what I didn't like about Number one see my picture, they served me the platter with a hair on it. I don't send food back but honestly that's not a very good first impression. Tells me a lot about the cleanliness of the place and their attention to detail Number two I really like pork sausage links which they don't have they have patties but not links. They do have salmon cakes which are very pricey and from the way the waitress described don't seem to be quite filling so I didn't order them. It would have been nice to see that on the menu as a side option but I didn't ask the waitress about it Number three. They charge an extra fee if you use a credit card. Plenty of off-street parking. It's in a nice location. Honestly I found this a little bit disappointing because I usually like supporting local restaurants as opposed to chains. I think I would have gotten a better meal had I gone to cracker barrel Price is okay give him the quality and quantity of food Overall I'm not too impressed with this place

I know enough Spanish to speak to a 4 year old, so I was way out of my league! I noticed upon arrival that they have some baked good, grocery goods, and apparently hot dishes given there were a few tables where people were actively eating. I just kind of strolled around for a minute looking lost. There is no one readily available to help people like me with the deer-in-headlights look. I had hoped to try an empanadas but it seemed intimidating so I strolled over to the shelves where there were various breads, pastries and cookies. I was still a bit lost because I first saw people with trays and grabbing breads but I thought they might be employees. But after wandering in another circle I noticed a lady grabbing a tray and tongs. I then saw the little sign that said to use the trays and tongs for the baked goods. I then followed the lady and managed to grab a few items. I had hoped for some cupcakes or donuts but saw neither. I did however get a cheese danish, a couple of cookies and a couple of breads. The items I got were pretty good and the bread was fairly soft. I certainly wasn't disappointed in any of the items I grabbed, I only wished there were a few other sweet items and a better system to better understand how best to navigate the store. But all things considered, the baked goods were good enough that I may very well be back to sample other items.

There were different types of tables/seating to choose from and everyone seemed to be smiling and in a good mood. They were playing a mix of R&B that included T-Pain, Snoh Allegra, Musiq Soulchild, and Bruno Mars to name a few. They had beautiful paintings of various influential figures in Black art and culture on the walls, and upcoming events shown on a screen behind the bar which I especially appreciated (They have karaoke on Thursdays!) There was also a band set up in the front, and I instantly made a mental note to return for the live music. - I ordered the iced "LCD" latte to drink and the Avocado Smash for a quick bite. I really enjoyed the LCD. I'd consider it to be more lavender forward but I love floral/herby flavored coffee drinks so I was absolutely okay with that. My avocado toast was pretty good and reasonably priced at $12 - There is an easy, laid back vibe so I don't recommend visiting when in a rush. The avocado was spread so thin it wasn't even a smash, and it could have used some extra seasoning -- salt, pepper, maybe -- to bring it to life. Underwhelming for a menu centerpiece. The carrot cake fared better, moist and well-spiced. Two more things kept this from five stars. Gluten-free eaters get exactly one option -- the carrot cake -- while the zucchini bread and the rest of the dessert case all run on flour. A café this charming could do more there. And the table service ran cold. The food got dropped at the table with no check-in -- no "anything else I can get for you?" -- just gone. Still, the space, the theme, the coffee, and the carrot cake earn a return trip. Four stars.
