How do you give no stars? I've lived in Canoga Park for over 8 years now, and have visited this location too many times. Each time is worst then the last. I've completely given up on giving them another chance. My boyfriend went today, we live in the apartments across the street, they messed up his order not once, but 3 times! I don't even care, at this point it is guaranteed your order WILL be messed up! This has happened every single time I've visited and always multiple times. As if the way you ordered it the first time is going to change because of what they give you! McDonald's employees at this location pile up the waste all day long! I have lived around the area now for 4 years. And every once and a while I will stop by this location as opposed to others I always forget until I am eating my food that this is the worst location. Wow!!!! The level of disappointment is insane. 3 kids in the car. I ordered 3 kids meals and a chicken sandwich!! Asked to pull to the side. 18 minutes later lady shows up with 3 kids meals (one with mustard in it ... my kid is deathly allergic) and no drinks and no chicken sandwich. So first of all. They were completely trippin. This was at the beginning of the month and I remember this tall skinny fool in a black zip up jacket with thick eyebrows. I heard someone call him Steven maybe idk ‍ He had this nasty look on his face and was disrespecting his female coworkers so loud that I could hear from the line. Do not go to this mcdonalds. it needs to be closed because the owner/management does not care. placed a mobile order. waited 20 minutes after being charged. cashier says they dont have my order. showed her the order on my phone. cashier tells manager MARIA. she tells me they dont have my order, and wont give me a refund. I show her proof that was charged. She said the money belongs to corporate. that's bs, because why would the corporation take the franchisee's money? she tells me to call corporate if i want a refund because she absolutely wont. Ok so a McDonalds is a Mcdonalds but this is one of the bad Mcdonalds around because they are extremely stingy when it comes to their products. This particular McDonald's is located on De Soto Ave and Victory Blvd, two very busy streets, so I was expecting a long wait at the drive thru lane, especially since it was lunch time. McDonald's is McDonald's but what makes some stand out is the service and freshness of the products served . Now let's talk about this one on the corner of de soto and vanowen . Perfect location , pretty big and easy access . One major thing about this spot specifically is it does get packed pretty quick . The food overall is pretty much what you see. Sometimes it is a hit and miss on the freshness . Sometimes I get a warm burger and fresh hot fries , other times a cold burger with cold fries . One thing that really bothers me about this spot is how long they take to get an order. Usually it takes other ones about 3-5 minutes . This one seems to double the wait . Slow service makes this fast food mainstay a bust. Every time I come here, there will be maybe 5 cars in front of me in the drive through, but the wait will be approximately 7-10 minutes. Hey, for that kinda time, I'm expecting a medium well filet mignon with a nice side of lavender infused smashed potatoes. That said, I've never actually ordered "real" food here. My last experience was yesterday when I ordered a hot fudge sundae. While I'm not a Micky D's frequenter (I'm "focusing on my health"), I was shocked to hear that sundaes are now 1.41. My GASP and look of "the horror, the horror" probably means that I should get out more and/or recognize that it ain't the 90s any more. read more

I used to go to this location constantly back in the old days when they'd put out a sign that boasted "Nintendo 64" even though the Gamecube was already pretty old. (They had three reasonably sophisticated plastic units running N64, which have since been removed.) They consistently had the best service I'd seen in any McDonald's I'd visited across the country, both friendly and never having any problems ringing up my orders which invariably involved combos with a lot of non-standard changes. Since then, much of that staff has turned over, but in the few times I've dropped in, they've still been on their game. They've also remodeled such that the place is sleek and has a lot of capacity, although this one gets hit especially hard by the Sunday morning traffic. In typical McDonald's fashion, too, they're very clean, especially the bathroom. I see them mopping all the time. The credit card machines, on the other hand, are unreliable at this location, but at least one will work. Their parking lot is easy, but I have no experience with their drive-thru. On a food level, I think we might sometimes forget how good we'd consider them if they weren't so well-known. That being said, the burgers are not worthwhile, including the new Angus burgers. The salads on the other hand, are well-done, and the chicken strips are probably the best in the fast-food industry. The McNuggets, on the other hand, are like hockey pucks, but white-meat hockey pucks. The McGriddles are syrupy-infused pancake-sandwich perfection. The sausage breakfast burritos, while death rolled up, are a cheap, good-tasting death rolled up. They get serious points for the grilled classic chicken sandwich, which without the mayo is healthier than a Subway 6-inch and has a nicely sized, juicy chicken patty. On the other hand, you have to wonder why the typical fast-food trendsetter doesn't buck the trend of making the healthy grilled chicken come with the unhealthy mayo by default. The item I always recommend are the yogurt and fruit parfaits, but only the snack-size. (Like the nutcase I am, I measured the full-size against two snack-size, and the two snack-sizes were bigger and cheaper.) read more

Worst fast food restaurant I have EVER been to! They were SUPER SLOW getting my two orders. Many people came after me and left before me! Then the fountain soda machine pours out straight flavor of syrup flavor of the soda minus the carbonated soda water! I tried EVERY flavor! Even the orange Hi C and even that was disgusting! I just walked out with a cup of ice n left it at that being what I thought was the only nasty thing about this order. But I was wrong! Upon leaving this establishment I open my bag to eat my meal and the fries were extremely soggy and limp filled with just so much oil and not even hot! Then I just knew my quarter pounder with cheese was going to be nasty too, and it was! The meat is black aka well over done yet somehow not even hot. I could hardly chew and swallow it like that! There was really no condiments on it and the onions were in abundance and all old and soggy as well. Nothing about ANY of this food here was fresh or hot! The drinks alone left such a bad taste in my mouth and I had to force feed myself the meal! I want to contact the franchise owner with how bad this was for me but even more so now after seeing the abundance of bad comments this particular location gets! Sheesh ‍ Just terrible. It honestly just seems like no one took the food handlers license here and just don't take pride in the work that they produce or care for their customers here. Unfortunately. 5 stars cuz the employees are super nice but they're just not fast enough. The lines are not even long but it takes forever. AND - There's this one young black dude that works the drive thru a lot. 3.5 stars The restaurant it's self is good. Looks pretty clean. Staff & management are ok. Food is up to good standard quality. The problem it's in a ghetto community & poor homeless around, which makes the average customer feel unsafe or uncomfortable unfortunately. My expectations for McDonald's is very low, so I understand you can't get too mad. And on top of that they don't care......so let's start! 1. Cashier was literally just that, a person who takes your money to get your order wrong. The person Jonathan stood there and never smiled, said Thank you, or attempted to say please. 2. Jonathan got our order wrong and proceeded to say "I didn't charge you" but he did, because by separating the items I was charged more. 3. While I told Jonathan his mistake the manager Juan walks up and puts his hand in my face as in "stop talking" and said what is the issue.....if you listen you would know. 4. I walk away and see they forgot something else so I walk back up only to see Jonathan smiling and talking crap to the fellow cashier about me so I in a not so politely way remind him the smiles are for the customers and if you want to talk crap you should wait until the person leaves. 5. The manager the. Walks up with customers looking at them and says what happened and Jonathan proceeds to lie that they were talking about their friend.
