This McDonalds is very conveniently located off the 101 (though a little hard to see if you're heading Southbound). I stop here to grab breakfast if I'm in the area, or to use their restroom if I'm on a long drive home. The staff are respectable and polite and the food is typical McDonalds grub. This place used to be a lot better. Most recent visit they really messed up our milk shake/ McFlurry order.... I mean there's only so many options...like 3.. we did a Mobile order for 4 shakes and McFlurrys and they were messed up. I didn't see Jeff the night manager there. Typically when he's there everything runs smoother and everything is correct in our order. This is our go to place for late night milk shakes. I hope they close this McDonald's down. I came just a second ago (2:30 am) and this worker let several people in the store to get some coffee, my husband and I tried opening the door but it was locked. Instead, the costumer who just got their coffee opened the door for us and as we were about to walk inside to order, the worker came to close the door and told us they were closed when they clearly had other people still eating and we saw those people walked in 10 minutes before we decided to walk in. He was rude and not kind to us and this store was supposed to be open 24 hours. Never coming back to that one store again. I regret wasting my gas just to get there. Made a quick pit stop here while traveling... the large trees in the parking lot and the beautiful view of the mountain range was a wonderful surprise. The next surprise was how friendly & helpful Marcos (the young man at the register) was. I have had teenagers help me before who let it be known they did but want to be at work..I mean who does. Anyhow, Marcos greeted us warmly and made my day with his great attitude. The food was fresh & tasty. The dining area immaculate. There is one young guy maybe a high school senior or college freshman that always takes my order and gets it wrong all the time. 1) There is no drive through here. 2) The service was slow and bad. 3) It is a pain to get in and out of because of its proximity to the freeway, stop signs, and bad traffic in general. Let me start by saying I love the Golden Arches. Yesterday though was one of the worst experiences at this location. I saw one of the workers with dyed blonde hair with a braid in eating toppings/food as she was putting the burgers into the warmer. I was so disgusted. Then one of their male workers near the fries kept making unprofessional comments one of them being "right now would be a perfect time to turn off the lights" as about 15 guests were in the ordering area. I understand it's fast food and most of the people who work in this industry are young and only doing it temporarily (or so they think) but they really should not be able to continue working here if this is how they are going to act. read more

Hey everyone hating on Carpinteria: Get over it! We are a quaint beach community and we do not have drive thrus, practically no drive thrus throughout Santa Barbara County. I actually like it because it forces you to engage with small business to eat as well as forces you not to be a lazy fat ass and order take out fast food all the time. Even the carl's jr. in carp is walk in only. It is fine people, walking in to a 24 hr clean as hell Mcdonalds and you still are griping? This Mcdonalds is right off the freeway, across the street is a cheap gas station as well as lots of banks, starbucks, huge cvs and albertsons. This mcdonalds is always clean, fast, and friendly. I love going there on a walk and grabbing a snack size Mcflurry. I have never waited longer than 5 minutes for my order. I go to McDonald's for the speed of service. This McDonald's was horrible. They were getting every order before us wrong. The kiosk wasn't working, it didn't print out our order and it didn't update it into their system but it charged the card. We told them our order (literally 4 times and wrote it down). We waited at least 30 minutes for a McDouble, filet-o-fish, a small fry and medium fry. They also lost the paper we wrote the order down and had to tell the same person what the order was 2 more times and they still got it wrong. It was horrible. Don't come here at night. You'll end up with your girlfriend pissed at you, disappointed, and ending your day on a bad note despite anything that happened previously. read more

This is a review to counter the negative reviews. Someone said this place is a toilet. It's not. The furniture and architecture is very modern and comfortable, it actually seems like this establishment went out of their way to make it feel comfortable. The bathrooms were relatively clean as well. The food came out very fast and was exactly what I was expecting: McDonald's food. This is not Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. It's McDonald's. I love that restaurants have reviews but I'm starting to mistrust them due to so many negative ones that are not what the truth is in person.
